  1. Lock N Chase Deco with PCB http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3293300950&rd=1 later, ussexplorer
  2. You cannot. Unless somebody figured out a hack. Juno requires it own software for mac or windows. later, ussexplorer
  3. Um, what happens when you just leave the dongle off? If it does the same thing then you know it is probably the dongle. Providing the machine does not do something like dongle - game - dongle. Since you did say the game seemed to load then crash . So it would be something like just game - dongle. However, you might want to look if you can to see if the tape on a working game starts and stops when it is finished loading or starts - stops - starts again. Like waiting to check the dongle. later, ussexplorer
  4. Yea, I noticed they where Micro casssettes. Um you look at the tape itself and scroll through it? Perhaps you can see a crease to tell if the tape it realyl bad. As for a security cable. If it is anything like a security block for say a printer port. It is just simple resistance on certain pins. So I honestly doubt it is the cable. To bad you can't find somebody to run a copy of the tapes. DOes sound like bad load though. Best guess since the last time I used a bad tape was on a trs-80 coco. later, ussexplorer
  5. Okay it still answers my simple question. Do I only need to run one set of wires to it and the answer is yes. That is a good question. If I say borrow the power from a coin door light. This would put like 5 lights on one circuit. I assume plenty of current is going to those lights anyway. later, ussexplorer Thanks for the help
  6. I was looking on happs and noticed the lighted buttons. Sometimes I always thing is cool on an arcade cabinet. When I finally get around to finding one I would like to add a muti select board to have mutiple pcbs. On to of that I have been monitoring the neo geo pcb and nintendo play choice 10 boards. Yes, I know about the dual / single monitor and the inverted rgb on the play choice 10. Stupid nintendo. Anyway, that would be three select buttons. Now placing them would all be up to the type of cabinet I finally end up with. The lights seem to have two sets of connectors on them. One for the button and the other for the light. Can I wire them in a series? So one say 5volt line handle all three? I might even change out the player 1/2 buttons to. I'm sorry when I first seen lighted buttons on asteroids for the select 1/2 player it was very smart and easy to get somebodies attention. Even though these wouldn't blink. Thanks for the help ussexplorer
  7. Every night I look at this. But it is about 560 miles from me one way. sigh. I dont' have the money to pick it up on a weekend. Even if the person drives 200.00 miles. It would be easier just to nail it. Shipping frieght wont' work easier. Last time I priced something form oregon it was still cheaper to drive and pick it up. If I only ahd the cash. later, ussexplorer
  8. I did some searching around on this a while back. I remeber reading abotu the nomad but the one that caught my attention was the original game gear that took the tv tuner did have a/v out. They do sell a cable. I have yet to track one down. I believe I found a few on ebay. But as I remeber only the game gear that took the televisoin adaptor. laters, ussexplorer
  9. Beats you up and takes your sh*t. Nice find. To bad those wasn't six switches. Not that I have money for one but I'm still looking. I belive I already said my dad chucked my six switcher it looks like about 2 years ago. sigh. laters, usssexplroer
  10. We tried that. We tried all the common things we could find. Weve been to most places and I didn't realize it. But I was already to those two places you was so kind to list out. I did dig up some mroe info but still no help. I keep wondering what could be causing a monitor to do that. But since I"m not their in person to look for the obious this gets kicked from me to him back to me. still thanks for the help, ussexplorer I did have one question of my own. If I ever get an arcade monitor I noitced that it can be powered via a standard 110v providing it is not some strange one that takes like 24v dc. Well I notice they say something like use and isolation transformer. I assume this is because the monitor does not have it built in? Is this for all monitors. The reason I'm asking is if I ever pickup a machine with a dead power supply and it is newer. I know you can use a at power supply in it. The lights for the sign is normall standard 110v and the coin door is 6 or 12 depending but I found you could use 6 with the +5. So now that I got most of this figured out. The question with the monitor remains.
  11. I tried goo-gone on a few labels. I find if the label is nice and shiney. Well more like metal type. It works okay as long as it doesn't sit. However, I had a paper label that was not so glossy or metallic. well it kinda sucked. So once again it is trial and errror. Even though I pretty much predicted what would happen. laters, ussexplorer
  12. He says both the horizontal and vertical is out. So it goes right/left and up/down. Well you know scrolls. So I have no idea what is up. Any other ideas? later, ussexplorer
  13. Well my friend is still working on his ElectroHome G07. He did a cap kit and we have been looking over tons of information including checking to see if caps that installed wrong at the factory was corrected. We also jumped the proper V&H signals and he tried two jamma compatible pcb. He still cannot get the game to sync up. He even purchased another broken pcb board in order to get additional parts off of it but no luck. If you have anything out of the ordinary to try. He would be very happy to get this critter to sink up. Also I was thinking abotu new game and cheap hardware. Take for instance the PS/2. Seems to me a system involving this technology is out their. So why not make a fancy cut down version of a game. Then put it in the arcade. If people like it. Then they could purchsae say a full blown version or version II of the game. THen when that game comes old the arcade own flips open the back and puts in another CD. Maybe to the point that he can get cds on a regular basis to change out. So each month you go into an arcade. You would be greated a simple hint of what is to come or be released. I know I would hit the arcade more if the new selections changed once in a while. Then again I hit the arcade for the old favorites. I picture in my vision a room full of games all looking the same and the only difference was the marquee' and the game itself. When I asked what it is the game manager says he just changes the marquee and the cd and boom. new game. The cabinets would be generic configuration with typical design. Even so if the arcade manager wnated to paint them or something they could. Laters, ussexplorer
  14. I put my bank account with ebay. I sold an item the other day and the person paid with paypal. In order to retrieve my cash I had to add my bank account. Then told it to transfer the amount from paypal to my checking account. Paypal said it would take 3-5 days to transfer and it only took 3 days. I then read about a personal account not accepting credit cards. I'm like okay I want to take credit cards then read for each credit card transaction their is a small fee. Well I declined and keeped my account person. Later, ussexplorer
  15. Can somebody please put this in classic gaming. sorry about that.
  16. First I only had sonic 1 and sonic spinball. I hate sonic spinball so I really don't play it. Sonic 1 was not really that interesting but defenetly playable. Then I picked up sonic cd. The music, levels and extra goodies got me hooked. My next pickup was sonic 2 and still being hook I played it up to the end. I recently picked up Sonic 3 and currently working my way through that. Then the other day I picked up sonic and knuckles. I don't know if it is just the fact I never completed sonic 2 even though I got all the way to the end. That a few years ago I picked up sonic cd and my brother ereased the memory so I had to start over again (Sonic CD is still my favorite). But I just cannot play sonic and knuckles. I cannot seem to get started on Sonic 1. I find myself wondering between sonic cd and sonic 3 because I already started those games. Perhaps one article was right about sequells. If they are to much the same they get boring. If this is the case then why sonic 2, 3 and defenetly the sonic cd is doable? Thanks, ussexplorer
  17. Thanks for the fast replies. I was wondering about that. I really need to get my genesis 1 connected to the other tv. laters, ussexplorer
  18. sonic and knuckles loose $2.00 Vitrual Racing loose $2.00 broke so I passed up: Sega genesis 1 with db9 connector Things I was not interested in: Genesis 2 with 32x. Each priced serpatly Additional Genesis sprots games and super nintendo sports game Controllers Atari 810 disk drive with printer attachment Super Nintendo Collecovision with both controllers and power supply. Perhaps if the rest of the atari system came in for a good price but these systems was hovering around 10.00 to 15.00 each. Later, ussexplorer
  19. I picked up virtural racer today. I cleaned the contacts and it runs fine on the genesis 2 without the 32x unit. When I put the cart in the 32x unit. It just display the copyright screen and goes blank? Does it just need a better cleaning or is this a problem. I wondered through the forum and didn't find much information. Thanks, ussexplorer
  20. Look At all that worthless sh*t. Especially since the bid was up to 9.99 with 3 bidders. That is just sad. Alsmost make me want to stop collecting video game stuff. To think of th emoney and time to put into that collection. Sure I had a few et things and theyw as used. THis is almost sick in a way. laters, ussexplorer
  21. I was thinking if those carts came with the system or proof of being demo carts or how about the atari koisk. Then they would be worth something I think. At least to say oyu have an original atari koisk with the games in it compelte from the store. laters, ussexplorer
  22. Well, think of the guy on that comercial for jack in the box jumping up and down for .99 cents. I know this is not anything special but I found an Atari 7800 galaga for $.50 cents. (Much better than 3.00 for a loose common cart) They also had a pole position II but I already had that. So now my 7800 game collection is up to three. They also had a Tac II joystick. But they wanted 5.00 for it and the cable was a little hashed. Laters ussexplorer
  23. On computer monitors the chirping sound was normally a blown capacitor. I think that is what it was. It would wistel among other thigns. Find the wistling or a cap with a hold in it. Then that is probably the problem. But I have to warn you. At of the 7 years we had about 5 monitors like that and I think only 1 worked after replacing the wistling component. later, ussexplorer
  24. Yes, I have used surround sound a few times. However, my current systems are to old support surround sound. I did have a dreamcast for a while and my brohter in law had the gamecube connected. It was pretty cool. Later, ussexplorer
  25. Just have a few things to say YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK Nice Mutiple Scores. Hope I find stuff like that one day. I myself have been to a few mini storage auctions. So far empty handed though. later, ussexplroer
