  1. It's kind of difficult to see with the TV upside-down :)

Sorry, the new Ipods don't have a camera on the back so it was difficult to take a picture. I don't know how to turn flash off my regular camera.

If you have something that can record video, you could upload a video to YouTube so people can see exactly what is happening with the various games you mentioned.

I'll have to do that, if all else fails.

Grainy interference from what I can see, perhaps your RF cable has become damaged. You ARE using an original switch type RF adapter (with the sliding switch between TV / Game) because the auto switching type do not work well. Otherwise perhaps it is the tuning of your TV? I assume you have the channel matching the output right? Cannot think of anything else........

It does it on all TVs and I have the small RF/Coax adapter.

"The screen starts to get blurry and it gets worse after a minute."

    Oh yes. Definitely the capacitor!

I'll have to fix that if the new cord doesn't work.

  2. Hello everyone,

I've been having troubles with my 2600 for ever. It's starting to irritate me pretty badly, I haven't been able to play any those games in months. I asked around to try and figure out what was wrong, they said to replace the voltage regulator. I ran up to Radioshack, made sure I had the right part and replaced it. Anyways, before I ask anyone for advice you need to know what the problem is. The picture isn't great so I'll explain that too. Not all games do this but most. Othello, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, and River Raid are a few that do it. I played Golf a bit earlier and I had no problems at all. It seems like games with more colors and movements are more prone to the screen being distorted. The screen starts to get blurry and it gets worse after a minute. It moves around a little bit too. If I'm not being detailed enough, please don't hesitate to ask for me to be more direct. I want this thing in working condition. Any advice is highly appreciated.

  3. The fundamental problem with modern gaming is that EVERYTHING is a 3D realtime action/adventure title. Good luck being a gamer with motion sickness or without Arcade reflexes.

I agree, I remember playing Tony Hawk games and getting a bad headache. If I play Battlefield or COD for too long I get a little bit of a headache. You are talking to a guy that gets sick on paddleboats so if I do play my XBox 360, I have to watch myself.

  4. - The Wii U excludes: cloud storage, USB 3.0, Blu-Ray, DVD, Game DVR, Cross Game chat, Voice commands, live streaming, and more.

    - The Wii U is gimmicky because it includes a screen rather than being powerful.

    - Good.

    - True, but it defiantly will be the best out of the 3. It could suck or it could be mind blowing.

    - Haha, agreed.

    - Kids play M-Rated games, parents don't care anymore.

    - True, but a bunch will defiantly be FPS. Same Shit Different Disc.

    - I want to stop buying DLC but everyone else buys it. That makes it impossible to play online 3 months later. I can't play WWE' 13 because DLC versions are different.

    - I tend to leave my mic off unless I'm in party chat.

  5. I want to talk about all the problems with these 3 consoles and the games for them. I don't feel like I have enough variety with the upcoming generation. I might buy a PS4, the Wii U is already out of date and it's too gimmicky. Xbox One, well you know all the used game BS. PS4 is the one console that is decent. I wish I could pick from 2 or 3 awesome consoles like we always have. Instead, we have a VCR, a 3 year olds toy and a mediocre console. Don't get me wrong, PS4 has lots of potential but what games will we get? A bunch of FPS that are all the same? When we finally get an awesome game for 60 $ don't forget the required DLC updates. That's another 10 - 20$. So you spend 80$ on a game and who do you have in the servers? A bunch of 10-12 year old spoiled brats yelling at you.

  6. PS4 wins. Hands down. What if there was another video game crash though? Microsoft has proven to be very greedy with it's restrictions. Nintendo keeps dicking around and making gimmick consoles. Sony is the only way to go. I'm tired of seeing all these fps games, I mean don't people get bored of them? I wish Sega or Atari would enter back in. To give us more than one choice. I do think PS4 will be awesome but I'd like to see some real competition.

  7. I'm looking for a similar game to script. The most common one I can think of is Berzerk. post-32948-0-61812900-1369883060_thumb.png I am starting to work on a project. I'm calling it 'Storm Chaser' for now. Basically what you are looking at is a list of sprites (that have yet to be designed) in a map format. I'll go over how each sprite will function. The Houses are simple obstacles, they don't hurt you in any way. The 'Tornado' will need to be studied (from a distance or it will kill you), and you will do so with your 'Storm Chaser' and his tool the 'Tornado Scanning Gun' The 'Storm Data Bar' will represent how much information has been acquired. The beam just shows what the tool is scanning.

  8. very nice collection, did you update your Atari with a Nes RF switch, what was broken on it? I only just got my copy of pitfall a few days ago from a thrift store, paid 4$ for it, which is a bit more then I generally do for a thrift store cart, but its pitfall, lol

It had black screens and bad connections, I took it apart and tightened the cord. No modding or anything. After I got that fixed, 9 times out of 10 my games would never work because the cart slot was so dirty, I cleaned a cart stuck it in and out 10 times (without turning it on) and let it dry and I haven't had a problem since then.

  9. Hey guys, this is my collection. It's been a year ago tomorrow my Grandparents gave me there broken Atari and I fixed it. It's 68 games. I'll probably keep going for all the common games I like for a few years. Then when I got my own place I'll start collecting rare games (I'm only 15 and storage is limited).

  10. When I got my Atari 2600, I had to take it apart and tighten the Audio/ video cord. It could be loose like mine was. If not, try and buy this adapter. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcompare.ebay.com%2Flike%2F181093323602%3Fvar%3Dlv%26ltyp%3DAllFixedPriceItemTypes%26var%3Dsbar It's tiny and easy to use. I bought it for like 4 bucks at my local game store and you can find it at radioshack or the internet too.

  11. I found my Grandparents Atari 2600 in there storage room about a year ago. They had 2 joysticks, AC Adaptor and like 8 games. I was curious, because I had never played one before. I plugged it in and it had a horrible connection, so I opened the system up and tightened the video/ audio wire and it worked fine. They bought the system back in 1981 and they let me have it. I've just bought more and more games since then.

  12. I won't support it, unless it's a handheld. Maybe plays 7800 and 2600 games. The reason why is, anybody can pick up an 2600 for 30 bucks with 10 games. A handheld would actually stick out and be something new besides the real Atari consoles or the flashback clones. I've seen NES and SNES portable clones at my local game store. Why not make an Atari one? What if we can make an AV out on the thing too?
