Your 4 switch wood grainer must have been one of the earlier made ones manufactured. Mine was January 1982. Also born the same year as me!! 1981! I'll be 34 this Summer.

Best 1v1 games on NES?
Nutsy Doodleheimer replied to thetallguy24's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not to mention you practically foul off every pitch, the computer will either throw a 30 mph pitch down the center then throw you off with a 110 mph fastball. And never forget the ball hovers up in the air when you foul it off the base of the fencebor make a wild throwband lands there. You can walk into the crowd as well. XD So many messed up bugs and glitches in that game, but still fum to duke it out in multiplayer. -

Best 1v1 games on NES?

I forgot Dubble Dibble I mean Double Dribble. I used to love resetting the console just to hear that lol. Still better than the NBA2K series!! I always thought the original Mario Bros. was a great head to head game you can play as a team or against each other and dupe your opponent. Ninja Turtles the arcade game was a great co-op game. -
Which VCS game invokes the most nostalgia in you?
Nutsy Doodleheimer replied to Keatah's topic in Atari 2600
Combat, Pac Man, Space Invaders, Centipede, E.T., Missle Command, and Kaboom always have a place in my heart and were the first games I remembered playing for the 2600. -
Voted for Ms. Pac-Man. It was a great improvement over Pac-Man, the maze design was spot on, and the difficulty was perfect and fun to play. Jr. Pac Man close second.

A Channel F flashback would be awesome since it's getting close to it's 40th anniversary. Always wanted to get one of them. But the drawbacks are. Tough to find, pricey since it's on the scarce side, and finding a great working order one. I heard they overheat a lot.

Most fun, yet horribly inaccurate arcade ports
Nutsy Doodleheimer replied to davidbrit2's topic in Atari 2600
Pac-Man and Zaxxon. Pac-Man doesn't have the exact maze layouts and the fruit looks like a block of cheese, it's still quite addicting. Zaxxon with the different flying angle which is hard to adjust to I still enjoy it. -

Awesome game room! I think I'm gonna pop in and watch The Breakfast Club after hearing Simple Minds being blasted. Like that you got Pepsi Invaders running!!

Most classic game room episodes refrain from it, but here and there an F bomb can be dropped.

Thanks Shawn for taking my request!!! Anyways, I had to choose the Heavy Sixer myself. Love the six metal switches, the thick molding, and of course the woodgrain finish. My first 2600 was the Light Sixer I still have from when I was a little one. My mom and dad got it in 1980 or '81. My next since I began collecting as I got older is the 4 switch woody which is used as my main choice for 2600 gaming. Then got the Vader several years ago. Then last Summer justba week before my birthday I went to a local gaming store where I live called Movie Trading Company in North Dallas. Right in the case. Low and behold out in the wild. A Heavy Sixer 2600 in mint condition for $50!! Grabbed it, took it home, took It apart and cleaned It up all nice, and plays flawlessly. One ne of the best birthday gifts to myself ever!! I love to keep it in fantastic shape and play it sparingly.

Some duplicates that I have that I am giving away. Triple Play 99 (PS1): The front jewel case is busted off, but the disk is in excellent shape NHL Hitz 2002 (PS2): Only in a disc sleeve, disc has some scratches, but plays fine. NHL 09 (PS3): Complete and disc is in great shape Antarctic Adventure (Famicom): Loose, plays great. Whoever calls for dibs on these items only pays for shipping. PM me your address. Thanks!
