  1. If Asterix is NTSC, then yes, it is rare.

The AA rarity guide is an okay start, but it is out of date here and there, and when it comes to R8s, 9s, and 10s, there are varying interpretations on those rankings. (You can see these discussions in the Rarity Guide forum.)

How does one determine if it's NTSC or PAL?

  2. So my name is Matt Trego, and I've owned, played, and collected Atari 2600 games since before I can remember. (I'm 25 years old, born in 1986) I started playing Tanks and Cops vs Robbers, Pitfall soon after. I borrowed my Grandmother's boyfriend's system, before I started going to yardsales, and collected at least 100 different cartriges. Along with Colecovision, NES, and Intellivision, I purged my vintage game collection when I got my Sega Genesis. At the time, this was the right move, but I'm thankful that I cannot remember what cartriges I owned, fearing a few might have been rare, and a lot of them had the original boxes/manuals. So from there I went Genesis to Playstaion to Playstation 2 to Playstation 3, and only a few months ago my father found a relatively large collection of Atari Games, System, Controllers, and Case for 5 dollars at a yard sale. I found out there were a few that are relatively rare, including Asterix. I was wondering if I were to list my games if you guys could tell me if I have any more rare titles?

    Anyway,

Glad to be a part of the forum!

    Blessings, Matt Trego
