  1. I don't have many GameBoy Color-specific titles but here's another vote for the Zeldas (Links Awakening DX, Ages, and Seasons).
  2. Haven't played in a while but some blocks can be pushed into water to create a bridge, IIRC.
  3. The title screen made me hungry for a ring pop. Still haven't finished FF:CC for the Cube. Started it enough to get a good idea of the gameplay but at the time I was in the middle of Windwaker or Metroid Prime so it got pushed to the back burner.
  4. This is only available through GameStop? I hate buying new games from them. Did they take the shrinkwrap off the games for you when you went to pick 'em up?
  5. Actually it was the first. But if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. I have one too. My only disappointment with it is it doesn't work with the recently released Pac-Man Collection. I get graphical glitches and such. Not sure if this is the case with all 7800s w/expansion interfaces though.
  6. I prefer prices in the marketplace too but when it's otherwise, I just offer what I think the item is worth to me. If it's something uncommon or it commands a higher price than usual, I consult a price guide, ask for a pic, and go from there.
  7. Can't wait for Metroid Prime 3. I bought Red Steel on sale at Best Buy and thought it was okay. I'm not a huge fan of first-person shoot-anything-that-moves games but I though I'd give it a try and didn't have a problem with the controls. The only thing I can't stand is the "move the remote towards the screen to zoom" thing. That doesn't work out so well...
  8. Sweet! That worked. To wit... In Terminal, type "cd " (to change directory, don't forget the space), then what I did was drag the CC3Editor folder into the Terminal window (or type out the path) and hit return to set the directory. Then, as Chad wrote, type "./cc3editor.ppc" (or drag the program file to the Terminal window). Voila. Thanks Chad! Now I just need to save my pennies to order a CC3.
  9. Hey Emehr, So it does work with 3.9? Great! Is this a command line program for the Mac? It's not an icon that you can click on so I wasn't sure how to run it. Allan If you change the extension from .ppc to .app you can then double-click it to launch. I tried that for grins and it worked. Otherwise, you can launch Terminal, drag the program to the Terminal window (as opposed to typing the file path), and hit return to launch. The missing gamelist.txt error is still a head-scratcher though...
  10. I downloaded it just to see if it would run (as I'm running OS 10.3.9 and it says it requires 10.4) and surprisingly, it did. I got the same error (couldn't load gamelist.txt). Also, the window defaults to larger than my monitor! So I can't resize it unless I up my resolution. I have it set to 1024x768. EDIT: Disregard the window size thing. Didn't try the window zoom button in the menu bar. That fixed it. Yeah, I'm still running on only one cup of coffee this morning
  11. I would probably grab a pitchfork and rally a mob. Let's get the monster!
  12. Count me out as someone that would buy a Flashback 1 NES Cart. I paid $4.95 for my FB1 (secondhand) and feel like that was too much. I keep it for the novelty factor and I like the mini-7800 case design and mini-7800 controllers. Other than that, I have plugged it in exactly once since I owned it and played it long enough to confirm that the ported games are, indeed, utter crap. Why anyone would want a cart they could plug into their NES to play these games ported abominations as opposed to playing the originals on Atari hardware is beyond me. I say let's leave the game code in the FB1 and not let the beasts out. These titles need to be remembered for how they were originally, not for how they were bastardized.
  13. <-- 4-switch woody. My original from back in the day.
  14. Just tossing a guess out, but are you using a PS1 memory card? It may require that.
  15. I just got an outstanding recomendation on Sega-16's reader round table. I'm not saying it can't be enjoyed. If the reviewer enjoys mindlessly pressing buttons to watch something funny happen onscreen then hey, no problem. As a game, though, well, I don't even think it can be defined as a game. And that's why I suggested it That site slammed Dracula for the SegaCD but at least it was semi-playable.
  16. I hate to suggest another SegaCD game for the list but if there's room, I gotta say (as I've said in other similar threads) 'Panic!'. For those that have not "played" it, let me just say that this is not a game but a series of random on-screen button pressing. It's about as much fun as having to double-flush the toilet.
  17. Heh, that's exactly the reason why I bought it too! Saw it at a game exchange, read the over-the-top description on the back and thought I'd give it a try. Of course, my expectations were low to begin with so it wasn't exactly a let down when I found out the game was crap.
  18. 2600, 5200, 7800 and a Lynx II. I'd pick up a Jag if I were to see one at a yard sale for cheap. Otherwise...no interest in that one.
  19. That's good news! Are you still thinking of selling your Intellivision? If so I may be interested. I have a Tandyvision that gives me the black screen of death (think it's a voltage regulator). I'm still trying to figure out if I want to fix it or replace the system entirely.
  20. Raise your hand if you're sick of seeing me-too lists that have E.T. and Pac-Man in them as "worst games of all time". Anyway, there are two things I'd like to address... Agree with: PoP-Warrior Within. I played the demo and that convinced me NOT to buy the game. Way too...EXTREME!!! Nothing like out-of-place cheesy-guitar-riffs set against a time when electric guitars didn't even exist. Disagree with: Typing of the Dead as a runner-up?! WTF? That game is the reason I even own keyboards for my DC. BTW, who has even played Elf Bowling on their DS? I hadn't even heard of it.
  21. I saw four Wiis at Best Buy the other day. Had to do a double-take. I was wondering when the day would come when one could just walk into a store and see Wiis on a shelf. Thought that would be in December!
  22. Just a Wii and I'm enjoying it immensely. I can't stop buying games for this thing. Definitely broke my vow of not paying $50 for a game ever again. I currently have no interest in the Xbox 360 or the PS3. Couldn't justify paying $600 for a system back when the Neo-Geo and 3DO were out and I still can't bring myself to shell out that kind of coin for a system...especially when said $600 can buy me 12 new Wii games
  23. I know I've mentioned this before: Panic! for SegaCD That title is devoid of gameplay. Your character must, by trial and error mind you, push the right button onscreen to advance to the next, umm, level. Push the wrong one and a "hilarious" death animation occurs. There is no logic involved at all. No thinking whatsoever. All you have to do is remember which button NOT to press when you get another chance. It's as much of a game as randomly pressing buttons on your DVD remote. Oops! You pressed "Stop"! The DVD stopped playing! Whoopsee, that was the "Scan" button! Marvel at the way the movie fast forwards! I bought this game, regretted it, and sold it as soon as I could. I feel like I'm losing the same moments of my life writing about it as when I "played" it but if I could just keep one person from not getting this game I will feel like my efforts were not in vain. I suffered. You don't have to!
  24. For those in the market for a Cube controller, check your local Target. I recently picked up a wired controller for $15 and a week later they had a Wavebird for $20. Check the clearance endcaps!
