Here is the "Hot Dog" game I am reffering to.Happy New Year, Atari fans! Hope you are enjoying the recent holidays and spent time with friends and family. I just posted a catalog update in the Jaguar forum, however I have not forgotten about Lynx fans! I'm getting more carts built and will have all Songbird games back in stock sometime in the first quarter of 2017. After that I may resume one of my Lynx projects since I will (finally) have the ability to get more carts produced.

It is Awsome.
I Dont know if you are familiar with this game or not.
Check it out. https://youtu.be/P65q9CndTkc
Its sort of like Fat Bobby.
If you guys could get permission or source codes for this and make carts for it, that would be awesome. I imagine this would sell out on day one.
I'd be first in line. 😀
Peace, and Happy New Year.
P.s, "Relief Pitcher" would be an Awsome prototype to put in SongBird store also.

I look forward to you restocking Lynx Store.
I purchased most games in Songbird, Alpine Games is a personal favorite of mine. Great game.
I'm still trying to get Hyperdrome and I hope you release it again.
Also, there is a prototype game for the Lynx that was almost completed in the early 1990s called "Hot Dog" that was finally released with a limited run a few years back. It is very hard to find.
Is there a possibility of Songbird getting a hold of the game "Hot Dog" for your store?
Of so, that would be awesome.
Also, I hope you guys come out with some new games. Songbird has made some good games over the years.
Thanks.

Well I think Mario was what made Nintendo "win" in the end....which indeed can turn us back to the Lynx.......what was the "killer-app" for the Lynx ? I think there wasn't one.
If I had to choose it was probably Chip's Challenge. Although graphically it didn't pull the max out of the system, it really works well on the small screen and the handling of Chip is much better than the PC version f.i. And this coming from a guy who generally hates puzzle games
But even so....it's hard to call CC the killer-app.But Atari had the problem they had from day 1: They didn't have a "hero" for any system. Nintendo had Mario, Sega tried to catch up with Sonic and partly succeeded, but that was it. Atari had nothing....They failed to see this someway. Atari Inc. was lucky with the Space Invaders conversion at the time of the 2600 which became it's killer app by accident. They were also foolish to never include it with a system. Coleco was very clever bundling DK with the system....that sold a lof of systems for them for sure.
The Lynx is more than capable of running a game like SMW or Sonic games. It's just too bad they would never arrive on the system because Sega and Nintendo would never allow it to.
But Atari had Bently Bear though. 😀

Any updates on Toki release for the 7800?
I'd really like to purchase a cart or two of this.
Thanks.

Hi all! My first real post on the forums. I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on what are the best/worst games to play with the original 7800 joystick. For me, games like Ms. Pacman, Ballblazer, and Centipede work great because the movement/aiming dies not have to be super precise, although with Ms Pacman, I do sometimes have a problem turning sharply and quickly. Now a game I find nearly impossible to play WELL with the joystick is Asteroids. I just can't seem to aim precisely enough, while, say, on a 2600, I can. Does anyone have any opinions on that or other games? Thanks!
You should purchase the 7800 European Dpad controllers. Thee are similar to Tue NES controllers.
They are available for purchase on BestElectronics website.

Alpha Race has been sold.
😩😦😢😭

I currently have 2 PAG-201's and both look quite different when viewed using the same game. One has had a full recap and ZD1 replaced, the other to my knowledge has never been opened up.
You would expect the One that has had work done to be the best but its not, its LCD colours and contrast are no where near that of the other, although it does have significantly better picture when it comes to vertical line shadow.
Is the contrast anything that can be improved? or is it just a case of one LCD has seen more use that the other and so has lost the ability for the crystals to produce colours aswell as the other?
I cant believe that Lynx's would vary like that when they came out the factory in terms of LCD build quality tolerances.
You should get a Mcwill screen installed.
Its so good, you'll never want to see an old LCD screen again. 😎

All games listed are still available. Thanks for your interest!
Hello, is alpha race still available?

Don't underestimate your hard work. The f-ing soundtrack is worth 40 alone, the game is a bonus!
I agree, the music is Awsome.
I can't wait to plug my lynx into loud speakers and blast it in my car while driving.

D'oh! I missed out too.
. Someone post an update here when I can place an order for the second run. Please and Thx. -
And S.I.M.I.S for the Lynx. 😀
-
Thanks for the direct link! I saw it pop up in my feed and followed it to success

I Got home from work late and just logged in and its sold out the exact moment i was getting ready to place my order....
I'm pretty sad about that.
😟
I was really looking forward to this game.
Can I please preorder so I Dont miss it again?
I work long hours and there no way i can keep logging in and out checking every hour to see when its avaialble. And I actually did check site once every hour the last few days even while busy.
When I was logging in to order earlier, I mist of just missed it before it sold out..
It hurts because I made a real solid effort to check site every hour and still missed first run.
😣
