  1. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€, I almost forgot you were sending me the pouch with the Lynx you sent out.The one you sent me will be the second lynx I recieved in the mail this week. Now i will have both the original LCD screen Lynx 1 i recieved in the mail yesterday, and the Mcwill Modded Lynx 1 you sent me which I hope is in the mail by the end of this week. These are the first Lynx model 1s I've ever owned and there are a few things I like about the model 1 than the model 2. I can't wait to see how the McWill looks like on a model 1. I'm still going to have to find me an extra larger version pouch for the other one I just got. lol. I have 4 Lynx's now..... 2 ones and 2 twos, im running out of room.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. Okay, I received one Lynx 1 models I purchased in the mail today unmodded like brand new in its original state, and working perfectly. I did a full comparison of the Lynx 1 and the Lynx 2. Here is my opinions. As far as looks, I like the Lynx 1 just a tad bit better, pretty much because I like the larger size. I think the screen looks more sharper than the Lynx 2, including in colors. As far as the speaker, its a no brainer. The Lynx 1 has a much more powerful speaker and deeper base tone that you can feel in your hands when playing games on it. Even though its not stereo, it certain is louder and more crisp sound. As far as durability, I would go with the model 2 Lynx. If you bump something or Dont handle with real care, i hear the Lynx 1s paint can and will chip off. And also sweaty hands from playing for a long period of time can wear paint off. The Lynx I own doesn't have scratches or paint wear, but I know if not handeles with special care it can easily become victim to paint chips and wear. The integrity of the she'll on the Lynx 2 is longer lasting from a cosmetic perspective. As far as battery life, Lynx model 2 is slightky longer lasting, and also the battery life indicater light is useful for having a warning of when battery life is about to die. The Lynx model 1 does not have that option. Also Lynx model 2 has a backlight on and off to reserve battery life when game is on pause, which is another option not available on Lynx model 1. Certain custum made carts are very difficult to go in and out the Lynx 1 if it can take it at all. Lynx model 2 is better in this category as any Lynx cart slides in and out without issue, however I do think the Lynx 1 cart insert door is pretty cool, an option not available on Lynx 2. As far as buttons, I like the rounder buttons on Lynx model 1 better, not saying the Lynx 2 buttons are bad or anything as I like them also. I like the joypad better on the Lynx 2 better as it is more comfortable and seems to be slightly more accurate in gameplay, but that could just be because of comfort. As far as sunviser and sheild, I like the Lynx 1 better. Reason being because of the design. On the lynx 1 it just connects into 4 prong perfect fit holes and doesn't cause damage to shell and no matter how many times you take it on and off because it doesn't slide around. On the Lynx 2 model, the sun viser can easily scratch the area around the screen and shell because it can move around because it just snaps onto the actual shell unperfectly the way it comes on and off. Also it covers over the chrome Atari logo on the Lynx 2. On the Lynx 1 you can still see the chrome atari logo even when on. Lynx 1 wins the sun viser contest. As far as carrying, the Lynx 2 fits perfect in pouch and can be shut closed. The Carrying pouch does not fit over the whole Lynx 1 model because of the length. When puting the Lynx 1 in carrying pouch you cannot Velcro the pouch shut because about 10% of the shell sticks out therefore the Lynx isn't perfectly protected. As far as the big Lynx carrying suitcase, bother the Lynx 1 and Lynx 2 fit just fine. However with the Lynx 1 model you have to remove one of the Velcro inserts and that leaves less romm for other items you may want to store in carrying suitcase... Therefore the Lynx 2 is better for the carrying pouch and the carrying suitcase for all the above reasons. The design of the Lynx 2 is probably better than the design on the Lynx 1 because of the extra options and too some people may have a more modern sleek apperence, but in my humble opinion I still like how the appearance of the Lynx 1 better for reasons hard to explain...lol So my final answer for now will be that I like the Lynx 1 better because it has a more old school original style to it despite its flaws and a few lesser options that the Lynx 2 has........... Still my opinion might change from day to day because its a real close call and is hard to say that one is better than the other. It basically comes down to preference depending on who you are and if you feel that the Couole of extra options on the Lynx 2 is important to you or not. Never mind, LoL, its a draw. Both the Lynx 1 and 2 are Awsome well designed quality handhelds..... Atari Lynx still to this day is my favorite handheld game console of all time. Its very unique and lighy years ahead of its time.......A very underrated and underappreciated system back in the days........Perhaps one of Atari's best inventions. Hope my long long rants were helpful. Now, that's just my assessment of the Lynx 1 and 2 in there orininal state. One day when I have more time to type i let y'all know my opinion on my Lynx 1 and Lynx 2 McWill modded consoles, with the VGA ports which are my two favorite items in my video game collection. ๐Ÿ˜€ please excuse any typing errors that may or may not be in my report.........I'll proof read another time. Have a good day, or night.
  3. You got an Awsome collection. I wish I could find a relief pitcher, hot dog and hyperdrome cart. Can't find anywhere.
  4. I know, but I don't count it as a dedicated stand alone cart title. Although I love California Games. And Te Dirt bike game on it is my favorite .
  5. Its too bad the programmers didn't make it a complete game, especially since no motorcycle or dirtbike games ever came out for the Lynx.๐Ÿ˜•
  6. I seen pics of the all red and white Lynx in Google images. I also saw a link in an old post in one if these forums. The link was to an eBay auction where the Custum Red White shelled Lynx. It was very very high priced.
  7. Ok, I completed first track. Then the crew runs up cheering. And then a message comes on screen. It days, "your doing great" as if I'm about to go to the next track level. No matter what button I press, all it does is go back to title screen, then same track. Is that it? Does this cart have the whole game on it, was it originally an unfinished game, was this game intended to be a practical joke, or is there a complete version somewhere?. This can't be all there is to this game. I heard that this game was originally some sort of Marlboro promotional game or prize in the 1990s over seas. LoL, it seems more like a tease than a prize. Maybe its a last place consilation prize, or punishment for losing a contest. Marlbiro Go has decent graphics. Its a Shame, because it has potential to be a fun game more like Excite Bike, only with better graphics of course. It would be a decent game if there were other tracks with more scenery, more obstacles, hills, and opponents to race. Maybe even holes and other things to jump over. Is this a demo, incomplete, or us there another version out there?
  8. I own a Couple Lynx model 2's. And in the past owned multiple Lynx 2's. I've never owned a Lynx 1. But next week when I get my Lynx 1 in the mail, I will come back to this post with my opinion. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. I didn't know which forum was proper to post this in. But I found and read an interesting Atari related article in regards to new Television show that I thought I'd share with you. Link below: http://www.lazygamer.net/entertainment/atari-wants-take-tv-theyre-starting-south-africa/ Thoughts?
  10. Very interesting. If you find the photos, repost it so I can see. https://youtu.be/5Qf6Sv3A9zs ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  11. I'm going to get Atari logos silk screened onto my gloves so they will be official. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  13. I feel Motor Psycho and Pole Position work better with the stick also, especially when shifting from low gear to high gear. On the Euro Game pad controllers, it seems a lot harder to navigate the car or bike. And as far as old school arcade ports, stickshift. a more arcadelike feel. But as you said, depends on the game as some games play better on pads and vice versa. Rapid fire games like galaga are much better with Europad
  14. Is there an offical release date set for when these 4 new 7800 games will be available in the Atariage store? Let me know and I'll go dive in my Uncle Scrooge Ducktail style money bin. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. Am I the only one on the world that likes the 7800 joysticks better? LOL ๐Ÿ˜€
  16. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘ Thanks buddy. I will give it a great home with plenty of games and other Little Lynx's to keep it company. ๐Ÿ˜€
  17. Thanks guys. Ive never had a Lynx 1, but ive owned many Lynx 2 models. I asked the question about paint wear on the Lynx 1 because most of the used ones I've seen usually look like they were dipped in acid, and people have told me that the paint wear is a common issue with those. LoL And as you guys said, I too have pretty much figured that its all about how one takes care of it. I just purchased a Lynx 1 that is mint in perfect condition and I want to keep it perfect. And I just was looking for advice on upkeep. I'm glad I Dont have sweaty hands so I guess I'll be alright. Too be on the safe side, I may just pick up some real thin soft cotton gloves as a preventive measure so that I may keep it looking new. Again, as always, thanks guys for your insight. THE PEOPLE HERE AT ATARIAGE ARE AWSOME AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HELPFUL TO ME. RIGHT ON ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  18. Hello, I am just wondering if there is some sort of protective spray or something that can prevent paint from chipping or wearing off of Lynx 1 models.....Is there another way besides using latex rubber gloves when playing the console. The reason I ask, is because I am in the process of purchasing a mint Lynx 1 and upon purchasing, I'd like to keep it mint looking. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks.
  19. Please contact me and send me a private message......... I am looking for this, and i will purchase this item from you today if you could negotiate on the shipping cost. If you can knock off the shipping cost , I'll give you $300.00 USD right now for your item. I cannot go above that, as that will my bottom line offer. That would be pretty much exactly what you are asking for it, minus shipping. Let's make a deal shall we. How does that sound? Please let me know yes or no either way soon, so that I can search elsewhere if you are not interested. Thank you and have a nice day. โœŒ
