I don't think there is anything unreasonable for some who missed the first two runs to ask for the game to be run again.
SFT are asking for payment up front to cover costs of production.
They do not have to bow to pressure or demand, they have made a business decision to do another run and are making sure risks are mitigated by the payment upfront agreement.
I am grateful they have listened to their customer and will be looking forward to receiving my copy when it is released.
Ultimately it is down to the individual to order or not.
Again, well done SFT for visiting this site, keeping us informed and for releasing the game again, I wish more companies listened to their customers
I agree 110%

The only "Last Will & Testament" will be for the preorder monies. Keep an eye out for "deceased wallet" in the obituaries...

I've ported the classic computer game Serpentine from the A8 to the 7800. The port is playable and complete, though I may add some additional features to this game in the future.
The game requires a POKEY @$450, and additional RAM @$4000. For now, that limits real hardware to the MCP Dev Cart or XBoard. I expect the new Harmony will be able to support it too. Emulation is probably limited to newish versions of MAME/MESS.
For those of you unfamiliar with this game...
The goal is to eat the other serpents and avoid being eaten. Head-on collisions with snakes that aren't smaller than you will result in death. You can grow by eating frogs, eggs, and smaller snakes head-on. You can eat the tail/side segments of snakes of any size.
Your snake and the enemy snakes will periodically lay eggs. The enemy eggs hatch fairly quickly into new enemy snakes. Your egg only hatches at the end of a level, at which point it will give you an extra life - until it hatches, your egg is vulnerable to being eaten by enemy snakes and frogs.
Enjoy!
Looks like an addictive fun game.
If you ever make carts of this game for sale,or work with Al to get this game in the Atariage Store, I'd definitely buy.
Thanks for sharing.

Its not really that much worth it for Super Fighter Team to even produce this game again. It's not about the amount, its about wanting the FULL price over 1,5 years upfront.
That _IS_ totally unreasonable in my book.
Do you get your salary 1,5 years ahead of time ?
I appreciate that they are willing to put in the time to do it. Its not like making a Lynx game for the small number of people that own a lynx and few enthusiasts is making Super Fighter Team rich...lol...They have other bigger projects consuming there time. If anything, they are doing us a favor. In my statement earlier in this thread where I said "everyone order this now" what I meant by my very sane statement was that the more people that order and the higher the demand is for SFT to make another run of Zaku, the faster the process may speed up.
And this was explained to me directly in my emails to the president of Super Fighter Team.
Besides all that, Zaku may arguably be one of the most impressive games for the Lynx. Its a great game. Super Fighter Teams Zaku carts are professionally and very well constructed and look just like the early 1990s curved lip carts.
And as mentioned here, this particular game for an official cart goes for 200 dollars plus.........So 50 dollars is a good investment for the last official run of Zaku, which certainly will be a collectors item, hence way worth more than 50 dollars stashed away in a piggy bank.
(Zaku is Lynx is Atari Lynx Gold, period.....)
Super Fighter Team will deliver and are trustworthy, my devine intuition is 99.9999% sure.
Sorry if my reply seems like a response from a salesman or spokesperson for S.F.T......😆
Now, as far your point about whether we will still be alive in 2018 to receive Zaku in the mail, what if we arnt still alive to recieve any other investments like retirement, social security or to cash in money invested in gold-silver-stocks etc etc etc etc etc........
Welp, if you are no longer with us in 2018, I'll make a special obituary-tribute post in your honor & remembrance right here in the Atariage Lynx Forum....Zaku himself will also send his condolences....
P.s, if you do happen to change your mind and do preorder Zaku, could you write me in your Last will & Testament to recieve your Zaku Cartridge if you arnt alive in 2018?
I'd appreciate it ,thanks..
Have a nice day. 😀😃😂😅😎

Would making a custum snap together atari logo designed molded lynx carrying case that stores console , all accessories and all carts a possibility?
Of course some sort of cushioning should be inside case to protect everything.
I know, crazy idea. 😶

Ugh, so jealous. You are embarking on the best part of Lynx collecting when everything is really exciting. Discovering new games every day (I am still discovering new games). Hunting for unknown places and websites to buy/find rare games, waiting on eBay for that CIB Ninja Gaiden III that isn't over priced and hustling for that Krazy Ace Golf you think/hope no one else has seen on eBay (they have).
Then, half way through, thinking "I don't just want every game, I want everything boxed" so re-buying a few titles. Then maybe considering going for all the variants (big box Electrocop, and BOTH small box versions (with, without grey bar) etc). Then, suddenly, the French blister pack versions start looking more appealing. Or the enamel badges. And then there are the Japanese versions of some of the games.
Oh my.

Hi there! Just wanted to say hi after signing up to this forum - I've recently 'rediscovered' the Lynx (I've had one since the 90's), and after finally finishing Rygar (took me long enough!), I decided to start collecting all the officially released Lynx games when I found out how doable a task that might be. I was also surprised to learn how easy it is to find new, sealed games relatively cheaply (the less common ones are, obviously, more expensive)! I've attached a photo of a few new purchases

Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but has anyone else noticed how the evil tomatoes in 'Kung Food' look like a certain politican?
Rotten trump tomatoes.

If anyone has an Atari Lynx 1 (1989 version) that is in crisp clean excellant as close mint looking as possible, in working condition that you want to sell for a fair price, let me know.
P.s, on speifically looking for one that doesnt have the paint worn or chipped off which is a common known issue..
Also, of you have original box, that would be a plus also... but I'm interested with or without box.

So why aren't a few of those ROM available? Zaku I can understand, it is going to be available in over a year. But games like Hyperdome were planned by Atari and never finished.
I have Lode Runner ROM and it plays fine on my Lynx SD cart.
I love your profile pic. 😆
Flux capacitor.

Damn, I payed over 200.00 for a mint boxed and sealed Tank Command in 2012.
😢
I like your price better.

Check the first post in this thread for all information about the cart.
One quick question, Are all the Lynx game ROMs already downloaded onto cart, or do I have to download them onto cart myself.
I apologize if this sounds like a bad question, I just wasn't sure and I'm a bit pressed for time, so it would be difficult for me to read through every page of this thread.
Thank you friend. ✌

Check the first post in this thread for all information about the cart.
LoL, okay, thank you.

How much is the SD cart again?
I think I want to order one too.

Road Riot and Alien vs Predator are "just" reproductions as you have them. There's many of those around and they are created from the ROMs of actual prototypes. Nothing special about those unfortunately.
But my fat bobby, raiden and minigolf are original, correct?

Did you have to post this vid in every homebrew thread?

Yes, because with the news of 4 new games in the AtariAge store, this calls for celebration.
I'm pumped 😀

There are TIA and POKEY versions of the game. I will be demoing a POKEY version at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Does sound better than the TIA version, but that will not come as a surprise to anyone.
