  1. I hope that a % of the money that someone makes building new carts goes to Mitch so he can recover some of the massive outlay he spent on buying the prototype.

And it would be common courtesy to at least ask his permission first.

I agree.........Mitch shouldn't be left out in the cold.......If it wasn't people like Mitch or AL , none of these games would be possible.......Every single member on this site that owns MIA or are in the process of making or purchasing should go to the Currency Exchange and send him some money right now! :) PRONTO!!! :) :( :) Or like I said, the game should be available in the atariage store because then the money will be distrubuted out to the right people fairly...........Plus I must mention that 90 % of all homebrews I've purchsed for the 7800, 5200, and 2600 have been directly from the atariage store...Every single cart from the store I've received have been in crisp, excellent working condition inside and out.............

  2. would be nice wouldnt it? but i get now, why they arent. hang tight man, with any luck i can produce some soon! I cant do labels though, so maybe someone else will come through with that.

I would buy one from you but I gotta have the lable or else it won't look right with my collection...I know it sounds weird, but the labels mean a lot to me, lol....

  3. I'm partial to the...second, I think, music selection in Tengen's NES port ("Bradinsky").

And being Atari, Tengen is a natural fit.

Maybe a 2Pac song would be good for the background music. :)

  4. Bob just posted this comment on my blog site...

    http://retrogameguy....hanks/#comments

I read your blog and Bobs comments.............Bob is such a good guy and stays humble...........I wish nothing but the best for him and his future endeavors................He will be seriously missed in the Atari community........................................................Also, from what I read in his comments is that Bentley Bear wil be finished.....That's very good news as we will have yet another game in the near future to add to Bobs legacy here...................Many thanks and best wishes to Bob..........

  5. When you stop and think that - in its commercial lifetime - the 7800 had fewer than 60 games released, Bob's contributions to the library are all the more amazing. I was going through my Cuttle Cart tonight and am quite simply in awe of how many games he churned out. And also in awe at how he grew and kept exploring ideas like creating a paddle game or making an NES type game or using the high res modes to great effect.

I mean - look at the library ... and I'm probably forgetting a bunch:

    1. Space Invaders

    2. Crazy Brix

    3. Failsafe

    4. Bentley Bear: Crystal Quest

    5. Scramble

    6. Space Duel

    7. Asteroids Deluxe

    8. Moon Cresta

    9. Pacman 320

    10. Ms Pacman 320

    11. Super Pac Man

    12. Pac Man Jr

    13. Pac Man

    14. Meteor Shower

    15. Super Circus Atariage

The man added 15 games to a console that originally didn't have 60 in its lifetime! And he added games of all types ... from updated classic arcade games, to sequels, to NES style games. He shared his source code generously. He always made sure that binary files were available free of charge and still worked to make sure cartridges were there too.

His impact was incredible. When I got back into the 7800 years ago, it was largely out of nostalgia for some original games. But Bob (and other homebrewers) really breathed new life. I mean - think about it. Bob grew the library by more than 25% by himself!

    Wow!

Very well said sir...........Its amazing when you consider that Bob made about 20 % of 7800 games available today.......Does anyone know if Bentley Bear was finished or will be released on cart someday?

  6. Will pac man plus still be available at the atariage store if so, for how long??

My advice to you is to get all the games in the atariage store while they are available........its not like these carts are mass produced by the millions........Get them while there hot, cause you never know, they might not be there tommorow......

  7. Attn. check other thread and see what Ken has done!

I checked it out...This tetris game looks great graphically for the 7800.....Is this the same Ken that made BnQ?............I feel very hopeful now....:) The 7800 lives.........

  8. wip

Thank God...............We really need people like you to make games especiially if PMP is permanatly retired..........Will this game be avaiilable on cart soon?.......I would definately purchase...I love tetris so I'm sure ill dig "wip".....................Please make available on cart...........Plus I am a fan of your BnQ game which I purchased a while back......I also love the Beef Drop game which I also purchased....Thank you And keep up the good work.....One thing for sure, we certainly need your services....:)

P.S, I told everyone that Yoda said there was another hope, I guess he was referring to Ken....Thanks bro......Please don't leave us too......I feel better now that I know there's another. :)

  9. Don't count on GroovyBee creating Super Worm World anytime soon. I am saying that because he has 6 7800 expansion module games that he needs to be complete. GroovyBee also been helping Curt with the 7800 expansion module hardware.

The people on the Intellivision message boarding are waiting for him to be done with the 3 Intellivision games he announced after he's done the 7800 expansion module. GroovyBee also has 3 games that need to be complete for the Atari Jaguar also.

All this means is don't count on GroovyBee creating Super Worm World once the 7800 expansion module is completed and his current 7800 expansion module games are completed. The people on the Intellivision and Atari Jaguar forums have the right to have the games that GroovyBee started for Intellivision, and the Jaguar to be completed also.

Then who is going to be the 7800s new chosen one??????Time will tell.............I wish I new how to program games...

  10. Now that's mean. There's no denying PacManPlus has contributed greatly t the 7800, but it's not like other homebrewers wouldn't do a fine job as well. As mentioned above, the Bee will sting, so all is not lost. There's always movement in the Atari scene, that's why we're still talking new games for all those long discontinues systems today; the era of Bob may have come to an end, but others will follow. :)

That's what I said.....Yoda spoke of another hope....Groovy Bee will bring balence to the force...Starting with Super Worm World. :)

Since Bentley Bear is hybernating for the winter, purhaps Groovy Bee can create a new Mario type sidescrolling game with a bee as the main character....The title of the game can be....."groovy bee".....that would be groovy....:)

  11. Does anyone know if Ken Siders, Groovy B or Gambler still make homebrews or are in the process of doing so for the 7800????

If Bob is indeed leaving us, then they will have to step there game up.......Obi Wan Kenobi said that Bob was our last hope., but Yoda spoke of another......Obi Wan had better not tell me its my sister or else we are truely doomed..She doesn't even know how to use a computer :).....

  12. I just got to thinking and came up with a few conspiracy theories on to why Bob is leaving....

Theory #1 is that maybe The jaggoffs that currently own Atari Inc threatened PMP with legal action for making games with the Atari name on it.

Theory #2 is that maybe He got frusturated with making Bentley Bear.

Theory # 3 is that maybe he had to many requests and felt smothered and just got tired....plus he probably has more reallife thing going on like family issues and work.

Theory #4 is that purhaps he isn't leaving at all and is reading this thread right now just to see if we r3ally appreciate him.

Theory #5 is that maybe he's top secretly building a brand new Atari console that will put Xbox and Playstation to shame.

Theory #6 is that maybe someone pissed him off, plain and simple.

Theory #7 is that maybe Bob got sick of Atari and has decided to join the Nintendo club to homebrew NEs games.

Theory #8 is that maybe he just needs some rest and is taking a vacation in the Bahammas or Jamaica.

Theroy #9 is that maybe Aliens from outerspace saw what a great programmer he was and beamed him up to another planet to help them build a new circuit board for there space crafts.....Plus I believe that beings from other worlds and dimensions are Atari fans too and need Bob to make games for them.

Theory #10 is that maybe my posts are so odd and radical that purhaps reading them on this forum made him ill.

Theory #11 is that purhaps is that maybe he left with Doc Brown and took a trip back in time to the 1980s to kick Jack Tremiels ass for not releasing Pac Man for the 7800....When Bob returns back to good old 2012, the time-space continuum will be altered and this whole thread will vanish and in the alternate newly creaTed universe, we are discussing another topic.

I have more conspiracy theories, but my typing fingers are tired now. Ill share the rest of them later if you want...

  13. I hope PMP isn't leaving Atariage because of my bad posting skills.....Am I that horrible to read?....Purhaps if we all got on our knees and begged PMP not to leave......I'm kneeling right now....PLEASE PACMANPLUS, DON'T LEAVE !!!! ATARI7800 WIL DIE WITHOUT YOU.....THERE WILL BE NOTHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO WITHOUT YOU......Please sir, don't leave......I humbly beg of you....Come back.....come.....back.............Noooooooo!!!!! :( .....I want to find out who pissed Pacmanplus off....Whoever the culprit is that pissed Bob off, when we find him, we will burn him at the stake in the middle of town square....We love you Bob......You are the messiah of Atari......If Jesus could rise from the dead, then so can Bob Christ........All we can do is have faith and pray that Bob ressurects and returns to his kingdom.......

  14. Thank you Bob for helping bring new life for the Atari 7800.....I have purchased every game you have homebrewed and in my personal opinion, they are the best games in my 7800 collection......Your work is appreciated by all of us here....Thank you for sharing your creativity with us all....Peace.............P.S, if you decide to get back into making games, I have a list of about 259 games for you to port. :) LoL, just kidding.......Peace be with you.
