  1. This is obviously a homage to that design, i didnt wish to nor do i like to copy and existing work exactly, I added the ATARI series label instead of the action series and i decided to keep the character and name logo level to show obvious differences from the original whilst still tipping the hat , Thanks for your feedback though
  2. thanks man, yep thats exactly what i wanted
  3. Thanks guys, i think marc can testify to my design improvements from some shoddy stuff i sent him about six months ago ha ha
  4. Hi guys i wanted to share these with you as im so happy to have them, I got both of these made through the store and i like to thank Chris for not minding that i wished to change his design on Princess Rescue and thanks to Andreas for allowing me to make a cartridge of Donkey kong vcs, I know it isnt finished but this game is so amazing i wanted to play it on real hardware. So here we have my NES homage Princess Rescue and Donkey Kong vcs
  5. There is no pal star wars arcade, if so lets see a screenshot of it running, I have the NTsc version, it runs correctly but the colours are dull, The laser cannons of your ship are closer to pink than red.

    5200 Mini Arcade

Man as a custom builder myself i just wanna say fantastic job, That controller is awesome, Why not make a proper arcade cabinet and saddle all these controls into it, it would easily fit on a control panel and finished properly in 5200 colour scheme would look amazing, if i had room i would build a 7800 cabinet but space in my home arcade is running out and i already have several in the pipeline, great work though you should be really pleased with what youve achieved here
  7. kevin i did say so before but please count me in for both carts please, Im also gonna get a custom of your water ski at some point its awesome
  8. Its definitely something to aim for and something i would love to do but another 80,000 i think will take me sometime, Its all about the focus can pretty much stroll up to about 170,000 and then all of a sudden drop straight off, I will be back!!
  9. Sorry for quality of the shots, the other thing is that part of my play style it says is outlawed in the above play description, silly thing is that the technique that you dont allow is actually how all the world records were set in the arcade. Anyways heres me:
  10. Kevin this is simply awesome, i dont care for the original much but i would consider a cart of your incredible work
  11. I love it, i love designing things such as this, 80's product boxes were simply the best
  12. I feel bad for you and wish you luck. I personally sent many e mails and only got one answered which didnt actually address any of the things i wished to know, But as far as just not sending you a game that is completely out of order, they could at very least offer a full refund.
  13. Thank you i appreciate you saying that, ive gotta tell you ive just started on the first customer unit and ive got controller envy, this next one is better than the first one, its going to be a Pac Man themed controller and it looks amazing, i literally want it for myself ha ha. i cant tell you enough how much it transforms the game play, For some games its like playing them for the first time, for shooting games like alien brigade the precision you can get with your cross hair that just wasn't previously manageable makes it so much more fun and with pole position the control and feel of the car is much much better.
  14. The point is predominantly arcade machines were built for right handed players, And no im sorry but i dont see myself building one for left handed players at this point in time, me personally i play every game with the joystick in my left hand this goes for track ball's too
  15. Im not really confident about wiring multiple button set-ups not am i really into splitting the things up or a huge manufacturing operation, it was simply something i made for my own use but that i thought would be cool to share with the atari family. if people are really into it im sure there must be plenty of guys that could make one stateside although i would hope not a copy of my unit.
  16. Yo T yes you are correct, all the american Happ style controls are concave the japanese sanwa are very slightly convex and seimitsu are generally flat sometimes also convex, Sanwa created the silent button which is what i usually use and for me there is no better. Its all mostly personal preference or what your used to. none of them are vastly different
  17. yea thanks Trebor thats a cool attitude, its just difficult when you make something that looks nice and people get excited about it but you cant offer it at a very affordable price but this is the difference between hand /custom building and a production line i guess. but yes you are right if you had played with one of these you would never use anything else again its a total game changer in every sense of the phrase
  18. I know it sounds like a lot but it is what it is, Each one of these will probably take 3-5 days of my own time to make in between my work hours but if people still wish to purchase one i am willing to do it, I have several confirmed orders already and i can honestly say that for all the games ive tried it with so far it has completely changed the playing experience, Everything feels so sharp and responsive its really great. Im going to build one strictly for the 2600 soon also so look out for that along with various different themed pro-line versions.
  19. O.k guys this will probably be the point where most of you bow out of this plan, But last night i started costing these things and it runs over £100 a unit realistically probably more like £130 and to achieve this i have dropped the sanwa joystick for a similar but more affordable option nearing in mind the joystick alone was u.e equivalent of about $40.00 , i will still use sanwa buttons and ball top but looking at a cheaper version i can see no real differences and in my hand it feels and works just the same. On top of this for you guys that are in the states i guess your probably looking at a further £20.00 postage, Im sorry that it amounts to this much but as i said i wanted to strive to make something strong and professional but this comes at a price.
  20. Thanks everybody for you great feedback..........And bob it works really great with Pac man Collection
  21. swapping out parts would be simple if you are familiar with the arcade snap connectors but to be honest it shouldnt be a problem, i use these same components in the arcade machines i build and ive never had to change anything, the weight i have no idea i shall weigh one and get back to you, They are quite hefty
  22. This is a right handed version, you mean a left handed version or rather a version with the joystick on the right of the board, it is possible, I might build a custom robotron controller
  23. After years of attempting to play 7800 games with the various arcade sticks made for other formats and being constantly faced with the non two button support i decided i was going to make my own, Inspired by some other forum members recent hacks of plug and play boxes i wanted to make a high quality arcade stick with good weight , Strong build and high quality components, I was thinking along the lines of Neo Geo joystick but for the beloved 7800 and also to keep within a design and finish that would make it look legit or so i think anyways. I have an arcade background but have never attempted anything like this before and iv'e gotta say i'm really happy with the result, The arcade stick is machined from half inch polished acrylic which gives it a very robust and quality feel, the buttons and joystick are all Sanwa and i designed the graphics for the panel and had them professionally printed and finished. I have two other designs in what im calling the ' Competition Series ' of joysticks one is a Pac-man themed and the other is Donkey kong both will borrow heavily from their arcade control designs and will both be for sale when finished, I haven't worked out a price yet but with this level of finish they aren't going to be too cheap but i will make and sell them for exactly what they cost me.
  24. Bob i cannot wait to see what else you might have to show us.....Does anybody know anything about 'ICY ' the ice climber a like that curt showed on demo at the convention the other day?? It looked incredible and that is one of my favorite games..............Wait Bob is this the surprise???? And to scmutzpuppe way to go man frogger is absolutely bad ass, its a timeless awesome game, your version is perfect and this is definitely something the 7800 should of had back in 86. Please add my name to any cart lists if there is one
