MIA in the literal sense. The Paperboy code was rumored to exist on some former developer's stash of computers/floppies, but the guy serached for it and presumably didn't find it or never responded back. Sad that Paperboy may be permanently lost to time and the ether that all deleted data goes to, but Toki is a better find anyway.

The Official Turbografx 16 Thread!
Andromeda Stardust replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yeah this game has been climbing according to pricecharting, so glad to get it before it becomes unobtainium. Still a fairly common game but it's a must have so hard to find. -
Nothing like a good Dremel job and some hot glue can't fix. LOL!

2600 games that astounded you back in the 80 ' s (or even 90's)
Andromeda Stardust replied to ave1's topic in Atari 2600
I need to play Solaris. It's been sitting on my shelf for a while... -
If your trackball uses an optical encoder, you may need to add some sort of power circuit to supply the IR LEDs as well as transistor logic to boost the output of the photo diodes so that the Atari can read it across the joystick inputs.

Man, wish I could have been there with you guys. I'm a product of the NES generation who didn't play Atari until 2012. You know what blows me away? Homebrew. I mean, imagine if this came out in 1982: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/229152-new-pacman-for-atari-2600/ instead of the abomination that passed for Pacman? -
WB Games offers Batman Refunds Again

This is why I don't game on PC. Too many configuration issues. A console just works. Well used to. Before day one mandatory updates were a thing... -
Crap, the 'boys lost. Damn dirty birds...

Wow, that's amazing! Do want! Will a Xonox even fit in a stock 7800 cartridge boot? Mine broke when I crammed in an Activision cart...

The timing is off on the Flashbacks. If he fixed the ROM for Flashback 2, the original console would be glitched up. Also nice score SIO2!

Atari 2600 "Red sea crossing" Real or fake
Andromeda Stardust replied to Max_Revolver's topic in Atari 2600
Max, I seriously hope you can get your money back for this. If you just wanted a repro to play, Albert or Hozer or someone else could have hooked you up for $20. It's a sad day when thieves try to scam innocent collectors of their hard earned money. You thought you were getting a deal on a holy grail game but in reality you got ripped off. And for every 10 guys that buy into this scam, probably 9 of them are none the wiser. The nerve of people like this, also the fake "PVC pipe" Air Raid seller in the other thread. I sure do hope you get your money back for this. -
This thread will never lock. He/She/Rosa/whomever will go down in infamy like Back in '89 and Natalie888.

I hope you can file a claim and get your money back dude. -
Paperboy is Missing In Action. No pun intended.

whats your rarest 2600 game you have?
Andromeda Stardust replied to segasaturn's topic in Atari 2600
Bumper Bash is awesome. I'm glad I picked it up for $50 when I did in 2012. I do wonder if this game is really an R9 though. Digitpress lists it as an R7. -
Compatibility rears it's ugly head again... Can't wait for this to come out but for the delays. Good luck nipping this in the bud Batari.
-
Aaand he's gone. Thanks for sending this troll to bed Albert.
-
No need to get defensive dude, but an obvious repro is still a repro. $50 AUD is not a bad price for yours, and whomever created it obviously went the extra mile to paint it blue and add the T-handle. But don't get angry at our collector community for calling a spade a spade. There's no PAL version of Air Raid, unless somebody made a hack by converting the colors. In reality Air Raid is neither NTSC (262 lines) nor PAL (312 lines) standard, it's scanline count being in between the two at 290, far enough off from NTSC to the point it makes one of my CRTs roll. It's color pallet is based on NTSC colors but I have no idea how it would display on PAL consoles.

Well at least it's not blue waffles!
