Well, me wanting to be certain, If I did something like this: http://www.bidouille.../hack/nespadusb Then would the same colour wires mean the same thing, like NES pad yellow would be equal to FB1 joy yellow. Or would it be like this: NES pad red is equal to FB1 joy yellow. (I gave up on parrallel port as I intend to by a new PC soon).
[Edit] Does anybody know if the retrofit kit would work on this?

Wait. Looking at my jostick DB9 connecter, pin 6 has no metal contects yer pin 7 does. Should I use pin 7 instead of pin 6?
-
Ohh. Well for anybody else I would probably take a max of £40 if it is unrefurbished, but a bit higher if in good condition.

Thanks. Now I need to buy some parts.

Hi
I am looking for a Light Sixer Atari 2600 Console. I do not mind if it is sears or Atari, it depends on the price. If you have a Jr console I will consider it provided price plus postage and packaging dosn't go above £30. It has to include:console, power supply, any needed video leads, at least one controller and at least one game (preferably millipede, asteroids or adventure).

It wouldn't let me edit my post so I have to make a new reply.
OKay. I did some more searching and found this:

on the NTPAD site. It is for NES clone controllers like the flashback one.
I am assuming that the DB9 pinout is set out like this:

Is this how I should wire my joystick? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks

I was confused by the pinouts on the thread I looked on. Please could you provide the direct pinouts from FB1 controllers to NES controllers for use with directpad pro.
Thanks.
[Edit] i looked on the Linux Kernel Driver documentation and found the pinouts: (X means unused pin)
http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/input/joystick-parport.txt
I presume the NES clone (db9) pinouts are correct and I know just need to hook it up to my parrallel port like you would with a NES. Please let me know if these are the correct pinouts so I can start build my connecter.

I have an FB1 laying around at home and I looked in the controllers and found out they only have 5 wires.
Orange - OUT (Output)
White -SCK (Serial Clock)
Yellow - DO (Data)
Black - GND (Ground)
Red - 5V (Power)
If you could rewire this to a parralell port or serial port (or even PS/2) on a computer, and write some drivers, would it be possible to use them as joystick controllers.
Pinouts from: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/76931-flashback-1-controller-pinouts/

Thanks. I was wondering though. On your other thread someone mentions tracing the Nintendo on a chip lines on the circuit board. You don't neceslary have to find the Atari PCB pinout. If you could find out what the NOAC pinout is and then work out how it connects to controllers it may be possible.

Hello People.
I have the original Atari Flashback and I was wondering, since it was NES-on-a-chip hardware then could you possible install a NES cartridge port. I have some electronics knowledge and I am alright with a solder.
Thanks
P.S. I do not mean add a Atari Cartridge port to a Flashback 2 by the way.

Hi guys, I'm not interested in a Atari, anymore, I plan to just use my raspi as an emulation system
