  1. I've been picking up a crap-ton of Castlevania games. Trying to get that "collection" back to where it was years ago, having pretty much all of the important releases. Just need Legacy of Darkness CIB on the N64, and Dracula X on the SNES CIB. Not a cheap endeavor by any stretch of the word, but totally worth it.

I should really try some of these.. Haven't played anything except the first one thru emulation..

  2. That's pretty much what the "Thrift Finds" thread is used for. It doesn't actually have to have been a find in a thrift store. It's more of a "what have you gotten a good deal on lately?" thread.

    Chris

I suppose so, but I usually refrain from posting "New" current gen stuff there.. Eh, oh well, just a thought..

  3. I think this forum needs a pickups thread, not just for thrifting finds, but for anything!

Quick & dirty or polished & purdy, let's see what you've picked up lately!

New &/or used, doesn't matter. Show us your new games, movies, music, toys, whatever.

If this thread already exists somewhere, & I have failed to find, please point me in the right direction.

Amazing! Doom II is such an amazing game, and of course it is amazing on the Jag!

  5. It's not a homebrew, it's a hack of the Doom ROM

There are plenty of videos of it in action on YouTube.

I knew these things.. I wrongly used the term homebrew. I just meant, someone did this on there own.. Which in fact really means to "hack" it. My appologies..

I've seen videos, I was mainly just asking if anyone had it & actually played it I suppose.

Thanks for all for the feeback tho, I probably will check it out on Virtual Jag.

  6. I have heard that there exists somewhere, a Doom 2 homebrew port for the Jag..

If it says that on the internet its true right? :P

Anyone around here have any experience with this, or know if it in fact exists?

  7. Found what I think is a good deal today!

    Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Wii $7

    Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Xbox 360 - $5

    Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - Xbox 360 - $5

Also found a Model 2 Genesis with a few sports games and a couple controllers, no power cord or RF for $8. Passed on it tho... Not sure if I regret this or not...

  8. 4. Halo 2 - Xbox

Great game! I like the improvements from Halo 1. Love the SMGs!

Very short, ended rather abruptly. If I would have played this game when it was new, I would have been pissed. Thankfully I already have 3 & 4.. :D

  9. 2. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Xbox 360

What?! 2 games in 24 hours?! Naw, I just finished this one this evening.. Interesting game.. Great visuals, decent Hack-n-slash action & platforming.. Story is a bit hard to follow. I only paid $15 for it new.

    Cheap, Short, Decent.

  10. Oh, I played it coop with my little daughter and we basically just ran through it without spending time on exploring. I think it was only 30-40 minutes. It's quite easy with two players, maybe you should try that? :)

LOL! Yes, I can definitely imagine that the skill level of kids is FAR more advanced than mine... Perhaps I'll recruit my niece to help me.. HAHA!

I've yet to play it for an extended period. Just long enough to test the cart out.
