  1. .... or contains a lot of information. There are ways to do it but we always end up at the same point: The pause button.
  2. We have this conversation regularly, being a long podcast. Look at it as an audio magazine that you don't listen to, or read, in one sitting, and of course we have pause technology. The problem with giving people the whole story rather than a snapshot is that things run long but for good reason. The other problem with breaking the show up, even with bookmarks, is that we have to cater to all mp3 players everywhere, and not all support it. I have investigated inserting bookmarks into the show rather than just publishing the timestamps, which we do in the rss fed, and the issue is that it breaks playback on some devices and we simply can't do that, so we cater to the masses and publish timestamps but put out a single, large show. We have also polled our listeners more than once and the consensus is that they prefer the long show format, so we do what the majority of our listeners want to hear.
  3. Next up, the web browser version. http://www.retrogamingroundup.com/games/newyorktoyfair/index.php This one is a bit easier.
  4. Oops. Found a bug and corrected it. Luckily it isn't available on cartridge.
  5. New York Toy Fair: The Text Adventure http://www.retrogamingroundup.com/games/newyorktoyfair/index.php
  6. BTW I will soon be going to Kickstarter myself. See, I have some magic beans....
  7. It was us but it was actually Shane and not Shaun. We were also joking.
  8. Last I heard which was direct from him did not say that.
  9. It was initially called Postal Gamer but there were issues with the name, Postal meaning postal, and the game too. It was later named EKGaming. The idea was taken to first party developers so they could put preprinted envelopes in their new games to send them in when completed. To be fair, Mike did get meetings with people from Nintendo among others and they thought about it for a while as they would get a cut of the used game value too. They all thought it would hurt their new trade too much and backed out. There was talk of a deal with Play n Trade at the tiime as well but that fell through.
  10. According to our interview with Eli that was Lee in the Goldeneye room at the company with lawyers and showers.
  11. As Mike took on and let go people for various projects he couldn't pay wages and paid in shares that may have value if he hit it big. He gave so many he was a minority holder if they all discovered each other. He also ran out of shares to give away for new projects so started a new company. This had 2 benefits. He could give away more stock and cut all previous shareholders out of any success.
  12. As far as I know only 1 set of jag molds exist and are not complete as there is no controller mold. They were bought by Mike for around $6,000.
  13. Like everybody who goes through the mill he likely had Kennedy stock.
  14. Yeah rather than hear the details in depth, direct from the man involved, better to listen to 15 minutes of somebody with a webcam say what they think.
  15. OK Peeps, check out our interview with Eli of Piko Interactive. It's on iTunes etc at 64kbps and there is a higher 128kbps version on our shownotes page here: http://www.retrogamingroundup.com/shownotes/2016/roundup099_2016.03.php I do believe I said "or your money back." Ain't nobody getting their money back...............
  16. Well he's a pretty reliable source. "Just wait. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'm not even standing by what I'm saying very firmly here." haha
  17. You're right. How about if investors do due diligence and ask the right questions but are lied to? That is fraud. Yes but usually there is something there to back it up and the truth is stretched rather than invented. Are you sure you read this thread? It includes a first class example of what you are saying has not happened. More will come to light if this console ever gets funded.
