I can highly recommend the Best paddles with 'super pots' for anyone looking for paddles for your 2600: http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/cx30_paddle.htm

The lag on the FB4 is due to the analog to digital conversion. Once you get used to it, the games play ok. Just a different feel from a real 2600.Wow the reviews aren't very good eh? Most are just stating they didn't receive the paddles, but of the ones that did, about half leave a lot to be desired. They mention lag, the fact you get two paddles but only one person can use them? I dunno.

I'm excited! I just recieved a minty, complete in box, Needhams EMP-20 programmer. I downloaded the software a week ago but decided to install it off the original 3 1/4 floppy for fun.
Now all I need is to find my old parallel printer cable.I've made some nice updates to the game which I hope to upload later today.
- The smashed object graphic is correctly animated and multicolored.
- The elevator bouncer uses correct colors.
- Added "help!" graphic to Paulines animation.
- Hammer duration matches arcade and color changes at 50% time left.
- Fixed bug so Pauline is erased when DK grabs here.
- Adjusted bouncer position and collision boundry. Might be a little too forgiving now. I'll look for feedback.
Wow! Can't wait to play this when it is ready!

Bob-hope you have some luck with this...eagerly awaiting the opportunity to play BB on my 7800!

You could check and see if Yurkie will do a 5200 AV mod as he does Colecovision and 7800's. Otherwise, contact this seller on ebay:
For controllers, try Best Electronics:

Just stumbled across this thread...really amazing work...very impressive!

Really awesome review!!! Anyone on the fence about ordering Tempest should watch your video. I also put together some great written info here:

Again, a big thanks for everyone that had a hand in making this a reality after 30 years!

Done!Oh, if people want to post reviews of the game in the AtariAge Store, that would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Al-you are correct!I respectfully disagree, "a unique" is correct. Because "unique" starts with a consonant sound, the proper article to use before it is "a", not "an".

Take a look at the manual where it talks about the fire buttons...got mine, review uploading now, i'll post a new thread when it's done. The only manual mistake i found, which honestly who gives a flying damn is "a unique" should be "an unique" again, who the hell cares, and also I did get the game to glitch which I show in the review.

Not completely...just a little!Good, so I'm not completely crazy!

I like the joystick better than the trak-ball as well!

My copy arrived today...really awesome!!! Loved reading this history of the game! I did notice a mistake with the manual....anyone else catch it?Glad to see many of you received the game in time for the weekend.

Perry-looks awesome and this is perfect timing. Hopefully, Curt is recovering and will get back to the XM's soon!I think I can have the HSC support working in a week. Then I want to let people test for a week or so to make sure there aren't any remaining bugs. I'll need another week to build the carts. I have started the carts. Labels are printed. Shells are stripped and cleaned. I still need to desolder all the boards, which I'm not looking forward to. So it's looking like late March.

A big thanks to Al, Keithen Hayenga, and everyone else to worked to make this a reality. 30 years in the making...looks awesome...can't wait to give this a spin on my 5200!

Congrat's...my main system is a 7800, but I picked up a 5200 a few weeks ago and glad that I did. I also picked up the Atarimax SD mulit-cart which makes it easy to play the games ported over from 8-bit systems. My main motivation was to be able to review 5200 games for my blog, but I also find myself enjoying the 5200 as a game system!Thank you very much for the advice! I just got myself a 5200 on ebay this morning. It's in pristine condition. It's the 1984 2 controller port model. The 2 games that are not compatible with that version are. Pitfall and Mountain King. It has 6 games with it, and I'll buy some more on atari2600.com. The controllers are in excellent shape (knock on wood lol). I will get a wico aftermarket one. Thsnk you very much on all the help and advice! I'm into console collecting. I'd rather have that than the computer. I have a big game room. And I made a spot and a new home for it. I can't wait for the beast to arrive!
