  1. Hah, yes, that would be funny! But I just tried the game and mode 28 is, indeed, single-player with an AI-controlled opponent. Sorry to spoil it for you.
  2. It's curious that, just a couple of days ago, I came across a super funny one. The expression "better late than never" in Portuguese is "mais vale tarde" (better late) "do que nunca" (than never). I was reading through a gaming discussion about the very late addition of the Portuguese in Civilization VI and someone replied "mais vale tarde Duke Nukem" which had me dying. ("Duke Nukem" sounds very similar to "do que nunca" and I'm assuming you're familiar with the Duke Nukem Forever debacle.)
  3. Hi! Been a while! Yes, it seems the previous/next links are no longer needed. Actually strange that they ever were on a blogging platform... I hope they were helpful for some!
  4. Hah! This was unexpectedly fun! I do like soccer, but I thought the game would be too archaic to enjoy. I was wrong. I jumped my chair (kind of) every time I scored! Heh. I think there's a typo in your entry, I'm sure you meant that you played the easier one-player mode, not two. :-) I don't know about you, but I'm going to play another match. Hopefully when I'm finished there'll be another blog entry. :]
  5. What a fish game! (There's a word in Portuguese that sounds like fish (fixe) and means "cool", so I guess I just made an international pun.) That visual effect on the water surface sure looks good. Very well executed, and I'm glad you pointed it out so I paid closer attention. I had fun with this one, but probably because it brought back some memories from my old days on the MSX. I'm sure I played a clone of this.
  6. "Let's pummel each other's uterus with our ovaries! It'll be fun!" LOL ^ Ok, this game is extremely fun! Had a blast fighting the CPU. Wish I could play this with someone else. I don't think any of my friends would want to come over to play a 1980's game with me. But yeah, this was surprisingly entertaining! Thanks for that explanation EricBall. I was aware of the 1st and 3rd party definitions, the 2nd party was news to me. Good to know!
  7. Well hello there! I'm finally getting up to date with your new blog entries. Unfortunately, it seems that your return didn't last long... I played the game and did enjoy it, though I always think that the invisible modes in games like these are kinda cheap, and hard. Hey, what happened to your videos? Was saving them to watch later and now they're not working? :-\
  8. Welcome baaaaaack! Not sure if it means you're really back or if it's just an update on the hiatus. Good to know you're at least thinking about writing again. :-) I didn't know about Chrontendo (shame on me, what kind of chronogamer am I?) so I'll surely spend some time there. Also realized they have some sister projects, like Chronsega, so this is great stuff. Thanks!

I just went through all your Japan photos and I found them amazing. And I just loved your descriptions, man! Your writing always makes me laugh! I've always been curious about Japan - not just because of the girls - but your pictures really made me want to go there on vacation sometime. It's an amazing culture. And now... i'm done with the blog. :-( It took me almost one and a half years to go through all your entries. Yes, my chronogaming had a few breaks over that period but, still, this blog kept me company for a long, long time. I'll keep going and I hope you'll eventually get back to this. Another fan awaits your return!
