I know I mentioned it it the form of a question but just wanted to mention it again.

For those who live close to west virginia theres a young man who opened a vintage game store in the old mountianeer mall.He has a little bit of everything from atari to xbox.He does get trade ins so you never know what you may find.He does have a web page vintagegamers.com but hes kind of new at trying to get his store running so if your in the area maybe stop by his store vintagegames..I actually found quest for quintra and a few activision blue label games there.I would just like to see him be able to keep his store up and running..He also is trying to set up thru the mall some kind of swap meet/show sometime in January.

Its the last atari cart beside the three red ones I need.I think it along with flag capture are the hardest ones to find.

I know the flea markets here theres a guy who runs up to the cars as the park and asks if they have video games.Unless they want to much he buys everything.Guess try and be the first one at the flea market and maybe you can find some stuff.I know around here Iam battling with about a dozen others for games only two of us collect the others just to ebay.I have run across some good stuff at yard sales tho

Actually I run across more atari systems and games at yard sales and flea markets then any other systems.I got about 20 systems Iam sitting on til november to ebay.Over the past 5 years Ive run across hundreds of 2600 systems and thousands of games..guess it depends on what part of the country your in.Over those years Ive only found 2 colecovisions and a handful of games.Plus for every atari system I found Ive had twice as many people say they still had there old atari and games packed away.I know there is still untold treasure hidden away in attics and basement but if it ever surfaces is another story.

Thats ok I want people to visit the store so he can keep it going..Right now he doesnt have the biggest slection but hopefully once people know about it he can get a better slection.any way the store is vintage games and its in the old mountianeer mall in morgantown west virginia.Being the game stop quit taking or selling anything pre playstation I hope he can keep his store open so there is still a place to find the good stuff.There is a website vintagegammer.com but like I said he just starting out and if any members are close they may want to check the place out.Best thing is he will take trades or trade in,s which is nice.

They opened a new vintage game store locally and I was wondering if its ok to mention it here on the boards.

Could be that a lot of the hard core collectors have filled their collections with a lot of the rare stuff..Theres probally only a small percentage of collectors that want the stuff enough to pay hundreds for the rare games..I would like to have river patrol to complete my collection of tigervision games but I probally will never get it because although I would love to have it .. it isnt worth paying 300 to 500 dollars to me.. Anyway I hope you get what you want for it

Heck I would like to sell my stuff on goodwills auction site cant belive the prices they bring in..I know goodwill is a charitible organization but they sure get way over the normal value on their stuff.

Just wanted to give Joel a big thumbs up ..I went to his house and bought several nintendo games and got a great deal...Joel has an awsome collection of stuff.....Any way thanks again....plus I hope you do hold on to your 2600 stuff awsome collection.

I always look at shipping as part of the price if I see a game Im willing to pay 10.00 dollars for I bid what ever the shipping and cost of the game add up to...if I see a game and shipping is 5.00 I only bid 5.00...To many have the I want it now syndrome...I have been bidding on fun with numbers picture label for over a year and until I win it for what I am willing to pay I just wont have it...The only way shipping will come down is if people quit bidding on the stuff with high shipping...but that wont happen..cause there is to many that want a atari collection right now that they dont mind paying up to 50 percent over what normal shipping would be...plus in some cases shipping is high I just sent a nintendo with 15 games from the east coast to the west cost and it was over 21.00 dollars...I ate a few dollars because unless you want to run to the post office with every item you cant get an exact amount..I never bid on an auction that I can not have a shipping total up front...I got burned once an I learned my lesson..anyway thats my 2 cents

I have the following nes game boxes......boxes only...I dont want to get started collecting boxes so I want to eliminate the temptation. temco basketball super gloveball monster party simons quest faxanadu blaster master wrestle mania steel cage quattro adventure4 big nose the cave man adventures of dizzy rally bike little mermaid baseball stars all the boxes are in good shape,but big nose has a sticker on front of box,and a small tear by the star cut out.and monster party has one of the bottom flaps that you cant see when box is refolded... All the boxes are broken down for shipping.. If anyones interested pm me ....

I thought collecting was suspose to be fun..I dont have hardly any 9 or 10 games but I dont lose any sleep over it.I would much rather have a new four wheeler or bike than elis ladder but thats me..I personally think auctions should be run til the end.if its a rare game the bids will be there.If someone has a air raid in a lot it will be found and go for what its worth.W hat I find a shame is those that had to have every rare game in a matter of months only to end up selling off thier collection becase they were broke.I like collecting but I personally would rather be outdoors looking at yard sales etc instead of sitting in front of a computer endless hours watching for a deal.I agree that the collecting of the rare games seems to be getting very cut throat.I ve never personally met anyone here on AA and I dont post a lot but I assume that the Als started this site for those that like collecting not for a competition of who could get the most rare games.I say forgive and forget.anyway thats my 2 cents.
