I use a 1040 ste with two monitors (sm 124; sc 1224) without switchbox.

 

I've now facing a sound problem with only the sc 1224 I don't understand : the monitor sound speaker is weak and " blowing ". The stranger is that the sound is also bad from external speakers linked to the stereo rca port of the STE....(If I connect the monochrom monitor, the sound is good from this stereo rca port...).

 

So, what's the problem ?

i'v a SCANDOUBLER vga box for my atari st. I bought the box 3 years ago on eBay to the Creator I think.

 

The problem I'v always had is about the power cable through the mouse port : it seems that ATARI doesn't like very much the thing, and whatever I connect after the power interface, a mouse or a joystick, it often makes it not usable (the power for BOX is still ok but the mouse or the joystik is not working fluently...)

 

What can i do to avoid connecting the BOX to the mouse / joystick port ?

 

Any idea to power the VGA box ?

I report you what I've done :

 

1) I've loaded ICDBOOT PRG from hard disk, medium resolution desktop : ICD window appeared with some lines of informations in German, then the programme auto quitted and the desktop came back.... well well, i don't know if it normal

 

i've noticed the following words before end of programme :

ICD HOSTADAPTER NICHT GEFUNDEN

i think it means" icd hostadapter has not been found "

 

 

2) Then I've loaded from hard disk, HDPARK TOS.... it required me ICDBOOT.........

 

 

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! please help me

sorry to seem to be so " ignorant ", that is whitout knowledge in France, but I don't manage to do what I want...

 

please tell me step by step how to use ICDHDPARK and to turn off this hd drive...

 

when I launch it, it requests me ICDBOOT...

Is there a way to turn off the hard drive of the mega ste when it is not used ?

the noise of theses old hard drives are annoying me.
