Yeah I couldn't agree with a lot of what SegaLord said in regards to his games release strategy but it was an interesting video to say the least.

To be fair, save states were never really a thing for most any Analogue products. It was only in the Pocket where all of a sudden they popped up for certain cores. However I do agree.. having save states finally for the TG16/PCE core is going to be sweet.. when and if it happens.. although I'd be looking for it on the Pocket. 😜
Well being more than fair they did say Q1 sometime, and clearly we're still in Q1.
I just assumed the save states would come before the jail break! 🤪

So am I to understand that the unit has been jailbroken, before an update containing save saves has been released?
FFS. I bought this thing to beat my real games using save states.

As always with doubledown, absolutely top shelf, gorgeous stuff.

I think an average shooter on PCE means it is pretty good! Avenger has always hit just right with me. I enjoy the gunsmoke style aiming, the power up choices, and the tunes.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer on the NES was the first game I really beat. I still play it once in a while to this day. Is it bad....ehhhhhh I dunno. But it ain't good!

Any word on when save states will be enabled? I didn't miss an update did I?

I tried my XE-1 with the same result.
Darn, this sucks. For games I want a stick for (not all, but many) it is my go to.

My original US sleeves seem in good shape across the board.
OTOH, many of my PC-E sleeves got replaced upon purchase as they all seemed to arrive slightly sticky....or were yellowed by nicotine, or both.

Anyone have any issues ejecting any discs? At first I thought it was just my PCE works games but the eject seems very...variable...on many of my games. Stick out 1/2 inch....stick out 1/8 inch.....etc etc. The discs never seem to eject to the the same spot twice which kind of concerns me.
Also, anyone have any issues with any controllers? My Micomsoft XE-1 didn't seem to be recognized...though the turbo indicators did light up on the controller.

DD, I thought some paddle games required the paddle to be in port 2 to work? That is the only reason I thought you might need two cords, but you clearly know a lot more about this than I! (I really only play Crazy Brix but DAMN do I love Crazy Brix)
Frankly I think 4/8 way is enough, and easy access can be had with a case with hinges. Though I have no pics any longer, I built a 7800 controller into an old Glock handgun box, which turns out to be great for controllers, and is easy to open. Although....plastic snaps...they won't last forever.
I CAN'T steal any of your thunder as your work is leagues above mine but I built this years ago and always want to add a paddle controller to it. I'd just have to lose the sticker.
BTW all your controllers are amazing but that black and orange paddle model....*chef kiss*. Amazing.

This seems like an idiotic glaring oversight for a boutique item catering to a very specific niche market that largely use these chunky pieces from everdrive to legit media and accessories that won't fit without modding or removing the plate. They really should address that.
I gotta agree. Mine is on the way, I saw a video explaining this issue and was like...really? REALLY? I'll just take the plate off but....for sure this should have been planned for.

Some REALLY nice work here, dang.
JM2C as far as combo contollers, to me the "ultimate" would be a controller with a 2/4/8 easily switchable way gate, AND a built in paddle controller (which I assume would necessitate two cords), AND button controls a la Asteroids/Space Rocks.
-
That is an interesting clone for sure. What a weird combo.

Sold in less than an hour after your post.
Jeez CIB but not sealed. The one that sold at 800 was sealed.
I swear this thread had the ebay effect....haven't seen so many Tank Commands available at once in years.

Lats one sold at

They're PAL is all I really know for sure, but I believe they are all the same games. Just cool packaging.

I got started on the HES/Salus as I found two super cheap by luck....realized what I was getting into, decided "stop it" and sold them. Love those cases though.

Then? SNES. Now? Turbo/PC-E.

What ones are you missing?
Luckily, I'm not going for sealed games, so that is a slight relief (although just getting complete ones is too tough really). The aforementioned Tank Command, Mean 18, Ikari Warriors and Rampage are my toughest gets left. Of course, that is what...$1200-1800??? I'm guessing...have to admit I almost bid on the damn $800 Tank Command.
If it was just non-sealed, I'd STILL need Tank Command, but I think that would be it for a complete loosie collection for me.

I don't think I've ever even seen a US Mean 18 for sale ever.
I'm missing a lot of the super rare/pricey ones like Tank Command (which wow, those sold prices just hurt to look at), Ikari Warriors, and most of the 3rd party stuff.Sounds like I should give up on this silly idea to try to get them all.
I'm like 85% there and already have a few of the tougher ones sealed, like Kung Fu Master and Super Skateboardin. Every time I looks at the set I have, I decide I am too far in to quit. But the $800 sale of Tank Command....goddamn.

Good luck finding a reasonably priced Tank Command. I would be happy with just the repro copy! Ebay has gotten so ridiculous now that you could easily pay $150 or up on at least 10 Atari 7800 CIBs/Carts. So happy to have purchased the 30th anniversary 7800 cart# 2 which has 8 7800 games which are getting very expensive these days:
Any time this cart gets brought up..I have to say out loud to no one in particular...."boy it sure would be great if another run of cart #1 was done!"

There has actually been a lot (three) Tank Commands on eBay recently...I follow a search for this on the chance I can replace my repro copy...it is not looking likely. Several hundred for a loosie, and a sealed sold for $800 a while back. Still the hardest one to get, I think. Mean 18 or Ikari right behind?

Have to point out, JMO, once stereo sound comes into the picture (16 bit gen I guess) RF is the ugly stepchild again. I will stan for it on Atari, Coleco, etc, but GTFOH if there is two channel sound available.

Jeez beyond the always scratched up chrome strip, I've got four (?) 7800s (and have sold 2) and none have broken the shell, ever. Reading this thread I guess I got really lucky, you guys make them sound like 5200s.
Which crack just getting looked at. I think my 5200 may have just cracked at home from me talking bad about it.
Popeye homebrew for sale?
in Atari 7800

I can't believe Popeye stayed up as long as it did, frankly (even if not for Al's sale...it was just a matter of time before SOMEONE came knocking).
Now I wish I had bought two! That price is BONKERS.
