Anyone interested in a pristine (MIB) NTSC Atari 130XE from 1990? I'd ship it to anywhere in the continental US for $110. The box is pristine as well as the machine. It comes exactly as shipped from Atari with all factory accessories. I bought it NEW OLD STOCK off an ebay seller a couple of years ago and I used it for about a week. I did not use the power supply, manual, or TV adapter (all included). It is unmodified and unmuddled (still has factory seals). I paid a bit more than I'm asking. I'm avoiding ebay at the suggestion of some friends on the #atari channel (IRC). I still like my Atari stuff and I use my other ones daily, but I'm worried that I will not be able to store this one properly as I'm simply running out of room. Price is (somewhat) negotiable. Pics available upon request. If there's no interest, I won't bother taking pics. PM me if interested or reply here. I'm in no hurry. Insurance is optional and up to the buyer. Paypal is preferred, but I'm open to suggestions if you have a better idea. p.s. I also have an XEGS and 65XE that I'll be unloading soon ...

"This screen will remain displayed." ... I like that (in case you were waiting for something else to happen).

Haha! I did something similar once with FUKR.

just read that in a cleveland voice and laughed. Hehe. Oh ... Thas humorous.

ICE-T has a smooth scroll option, if I remember correctly. I was pretty amazed the first time I saw that in action (not to mention 80 columns with VT-100 emulation).

Well, Star Raiders has some slowdowns at times. While not intentional, some might say that add to the drama when they occur.

Thanks should be enough to keep everyone busy hopefully. Was thinking about doing a comnined score but some games may be heavy on points... we'll see how things go. Do you guys spell "Leap" "Leep" or did the author need a dictionary perhaps it stands for something like in M*U*L*E... something something Exploding Pieces no, we spell it 'leap' as well. Not sure what the deal is with the author's spelling. He probably just wanted to make sure it would show up more reliably after Google searches.

I suppose I could play some dyslexic trade of a moth coat.

My vote broke no tie, but I'm ready to play.

Donkey Kong Junior XL/XE - do you like it?
Fres replied to Mister VCS's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I sort of remember reading that, but I was thinking it was a different game that she (the programmer) was working on. -
Kong: 17950 (not bad for a basic game) Junior: 50000 Banana: 150 (so sir, didn't like it) No pics since the scores are fairly low.

Thanks, TRBB. Maybe the thread could discuss which "budget tapes" were actually fun or worth playing, and we can just avoid the ones that don't get mentioned.

Works fine. I've only tried it with a few dozen games. Great loader. Works really well with joystick or keyboard (fast). And being able to drag and drop xex files to the slave CF card is very convenient. FYI: I tested this with an AtariMax Maxflash+MyIDE cart and a dual CF to IDE adapter (with two cards installed). Thanks Candle and SteveS.

HAHAHA! Yeah, right.

Outstanding! Orpheus, why are we not doing this?

I think it's just about timing. You need to press jump when you're bouncing back up. If you miss, you can back up and try again, but don't waste too many bonus points. I don't think it really helps much anyway, but the super jump looks cool.

You guys have all the fun No Atari meetings on this side of the pond. Well, there's ACEC (Atari Computer Enthusiasts of Columbus) They have a 'vintage computer swap meet' on Sept. 10. http://www.angelfire.com/oh4/acec/acecswapmeet.html I should go this year. You're in Akron, that's not too far from Columbus. Hmm. That's only about 3 hours from my place. Oh, and ... sorry to mess with this thread.

You guys have all the fun No Atari meetings on this side of the pond. Maybe Orph has something up his sleeve, Mopar. Can't imagine we'd get a group THAT size, but ...

Funny, score from earlier was from work. I played it when I got home ... exact same score. Interestingly, I got a lot further in the game at work than at home. Scratch that. 46500 at home. Not taking a pic, because I plan to play some more.

40700 on DK JR.

I think I was once decent at this game (for me), but I'm not sure. I used to borrow the cart from a friend back in the day (he had everything). That KONG (basic) game is not too bad. It kind of reminds me of those old Coleco Tabletop games. Someone should convert it to TB and add some new levels. I will say, it took me several lives just to get the timing right to jump over the first barrel. Then, I never saw another. Anyone know where this game came from? Type-in? Very curious.

I guess I don't believe in anything enough to get a new tattoo. Hell, I'm 40 yrs. old. Seen plenty of dorky tattoos at the pool, tho.

67450 No Atari around at the moment, so I had to play it emulated and with a keyboard. Baah!

I know pre-order is not open, but I'm hoping to get one of these if you have enough (assembled). I'm good for the cash.

I think you can hold "space" while booting.
