  1. So what is a decent condition (near mint) C64 worth these days?
  2. I was thinking that the function keys in the detachable keyboard (while present) do not work through the 15 pin connector. Also, some of the plastic under the location where one of the function keys would have been was filed off last couple of times I looked at an XEGM/S keyboard, if I remember correctly.
  3. Back in the day, a 64k ramdrive came in pretty handy. I was pretty jealous of my friends who had 256k 800XLs, however.
  4. Nice work. I think Atarimania.com has a pretty good archive of (mostly game) releases.
  5. 800 was my first a8. It was massive. 130XE was my 2nd. I like my 130XE. I use it more often than my other a8s. It has a squishy keyboard, but I'm not typing term papers anymore on it so it's not that big of a deal. My 800XL is my cart machine -- I like the top cart port, and it's smaller than an XEGS (with keyboard attached) and the XEGS had horrible placement of the joystick ports. The video from the 800XL is not great, but satisfactory for games.
  6. Looks pretty cool for a mono iso convo. Great music too. Nice work!
  7. Very nice. I can't think of any enjoyable games that used scrolling Gr.9 mode. This looks very promising. I also like the music (hoping for some nice sfx too).
  8. T. J. Hooker, at this moment in time.
  9. Karateka, Lode Runner, and Spy Hunter were better with the keyboard and no joystick because of the one button limitation, in my opinion.
  10. Fred is an unusual name for a woman, but the whole thing seems legitimate to me.
  11. I also have a couple of 1702 monitors, and they are quite nice. However, my near-mint looking MG66 130XE (320k) with built-in SIO2pc is probably my favorite item.
  12. So, the 800, 1050, and MidiMate (pending) are sold. UPS for the 1050 was quite a bit cheaper than USPS for the 800. Still expensive, though. Guess I should come up with a new post for everything else. I don't think I have much left, however, except maybe a few common carts (400/800/xl/xe).
  13. I think mine have that. I have a Star Trek, Congo Bongo, Buck Rogers ... think that's it. At one point I owned a Zaxxon, but I don't think I have one now. Would LOVE to have seen a Tapper cart. Most of my carts are at the office or I would check (I'm at home).
  14. Probably around $107.00.
  15. Damage repaired, sir. - Star Trek @!#[email protected]! - Q*Bert
  16. Yeah, shipping is rough for these things. I'm going to try UPS for the 1050 (sold) and see what happens. Still have a 410, 1010, and 1027, XM301, MidiMate, bunch of disks? Anyone? I would happily take some pics if there were even an ounce of interest.
  17. Good gravy, that thing is huge! What were they thinking?
  18. Very impressive. And hilarious.
  19. I wish there were some way to emulate (or simulate) the releases with audio. I have a 410 and a 1010 and a handful of cassettes but they won't last forever.
  20. Just once I wish that whilst re-organizing my carts I would come upon some random piece that no one has ever heard of. Just once.
  21. Well, the 800 has found its way to a good home, even if USPS killed me on shipping ($30+ should I have gone with UPS?). I was unable to unload the 1050 and 1027. Much as I dislike using ebay, I will give it a try. Orph: you need not bid since these things will likely end up in your basement anyway.
