  1. There were two released versions. One has a 1982 © and the other a 1983, if I remember correctly. I have both carts. They both have the same label (brown with 1982 ©). I believe there were also some gray label releases of the 1983 version.
  2. I agree with Larry on all counts. I just tried the Super Nintendo version on my xbox (emulator). Very playable. The PC version will always be my favorite because that's the one I played in college (probably should've been studying).
  3. Do both of them have the label on THAT side? How are the labels on your Boulderdash and Astro Chase placed?
  4. I'd give 100+ ... I'm amazed to hear that anyone has two Flip and Flop carts. Cool thing about this game is that it's rare and also VERY fun to play. The disk version looks a little better (mainly fonts), but plays the same. Good luck Chris. Wish I had something to trade (maybe 37 basic carts?).
  5. I don't believe that anything like you've described exists. Sounds cool, tho. Why do you like pokey over SID (just outta curiosity)? pokey sounds more retro?
  6. Man, I'll have to hope to get some scores on one of the catch-up weeks. I've been playing the Pac-Man games on and off over the last several days, but I totally forgot that this round ended over the weekend.
  7. I believe this would have been a CBS (not Atari) release, but I could be wrong. Nice looking label either way.
  8. Yeah, I remember those mags. Giant. A friend of mine used to buy them about every month in the 80s, but when he moved (and I helped him) it was decided that they were too big to move.
  9. Q *freakin* Bert! Also, iirc, The Last V8 is almost unplayable on NTSC. I'll play whatever the group chooses, however.
  10. 4600. Bit of a learning curve with this one, but I'm glad to finally play it.
  11. Glad to see 'em go to a good home (and to avoid ebay).
  12. *sold* I am offering two complete boxed sets of Ultima II and Ultima III for the Atari 8-bit series. Both sets are complete-in-box (as far as I know). Both include the cloth maps and manuals, etc. (see pictures). U3 includes some personal notes and an extra user disk. While I am a fan of the Ultima series, I have not played these particular disks. I offer no warranties, but guarantee that you will receive what is pictured. I ask $45 for each item, or $80 for both. Preference given to offers for both. Shipping within the continental US will be $10 per parcel (if you order both, they will ship together in one parcel). This offer is good until Feb. 14, 2013. Please send offers by PM (including low-balls).
  13. Was there really a company called Afflatus Link, Inc.?
  14. Very nice work! All of the ones I tried have worked perfectly (and I've tried quite a few).
  15. Glad to hear these are archived. Speaking of "hearing" and sorry to go OT ... is there any way to use such titles as "Conversational Spanish" on any emulator? And less OT, can the dorsett tape images be used with the Educational MS cart? -Henry Falinger Sorthington
  16. There is some info here. Look toward the end of the document. I think quite a few label variations are not mentioned there however.
  17. Crap, I should have guessed that. Good catch either way.
  18. It's actually the opposite of what you said, but I just did it because I thought it was funny (I do that on occasion). Turd Ferguson is a handle I have used once in a while in the ##atari IRC chat. Therein lies the relationship.
  19. I like the "Add warranty from 19.99" ... extended warranty? How can I lose?
  20. Astonishing, absurd, and very playable. Well done! Thanks for the NTSC version. I look forward to playing this on the "real" ...
