  2. I would highly suggest a private preorder campaign first in the community to see how much you might be able to raise and still keep it on the Quiet. Bah! let them try to sue me for helping a good cause...after all it's only their PR status. I seriously doubt they give a rats ass.

The arcade machine and the Jaguar are the only versions of Gorf with Galaxians. I own all version of Gorf so I know. Coleco only has Astro Battle, Lazer Attack. Space Warp and the Flagship, like all other home versions. the sprite look very little like the game, not to mention Space Warp and flagship are awful. But none the less, thanks for your support.
  4. Yeah, lets just hope I dont get my ass handed to me over it...it would still be worth it though.

I will as soon as we figure out how we want to go about this. It might be few weeks but Im sure we're going to do it. Remember, no of you need to wait to donate to a worthy cause. Keep in mind that this could someday be your loved one with an incurable desease or maybe even you yourself. The day to act is now. Some one's life is depending on it.
  6. Thanks...it's the least I can do for them. I plan to do alot more in the futre with Cystic Fibrosis research funding.
  7. Here is why...... My good friend Neil, passed away Monday 2/26/2007 from Cystic Fibrosis. He was easily the most loving accepting man I ever knew. He was truly the best friend I ever had. I never met anyone who did not adore him. He was always there for you and accepted you for who you were. He was an elder of our chuch and one who truly honored God and Christ and the golden rule. He knew what it meant to love thy neighbor. With that said. I will decide this week to re-release Gorf and put all proceeds to finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. I will probably charge a few dollars more this time around, but I want to make as much money for this as I can. I want to present a check to Ruthie and Kelly(his perfect wife and perfect young daugther, as it is these two I morn most for) so that the may give it to the foundation of thier choice. These two ladies, gladly let me into there house at least once a week to spend time with their ailing husband and father. Knowing what little time he had with them, they still looked forward to having me there as they knew Neil loved having me there.(Ok, ok so the guy had questionable taste in his choice of friends, ) Neil was the kind of church leader you could only hope to find in your local church. He never let his illness stop him from being there for you. He was the true definition of a selfless man. Neil was a man with incredible smarts and a killer sense of humor. Let's put it this way...as a church elder, marraige counseling is just one of the many tasks you perform. His idea of helping others through some things, was usually solved by him sitting you down, carefully pulling out the appropriate episiode of "Married with Children", make you watch the whole thing, and simply ask, "Now tell me again, why you think you got it so bad?" Worked every time. I mean come on folks....how many church elders would wait with anticipation for you to come over to watch a Kevin Smith film or 3 Stooges episodes with them? That's right. He knew where to draw the line between serious and fun. With all his suffering, he still could not wait to guide me through some difficult life choices. I owe him and unpayable debt of gratitue as well as his wife and daugter, who treated me equally as kind. They made me feel like a king when I was at thier house. I will miss this man sorely. Yet I will remember all the wisdom he tried to instill in me. I have vowed since that sad day, that I will do something to help fight the good fight against CF. I have also vowed to be there for Ruth and Kelly what ever their need may be. I do this in his memory and his honor. Anyway...enough blabbing....I will decide this week. I will weigh the possible trouble I could get into against the good cause...Im quite sure the cause will win this one. Then again.....let Midway try to sue me for a charitable cause. Details will be forthcoming. the FROG

    New Jaguar GCC

Until someone writes a new C compiler for the Jag that utilizes the gpu main ram technique's the Frog and Atari Owl pioneered. by the way, does this technique is described somewhere ? so we can try to make a C compiler. Inside the Frog's and Atari Owl's head. It's not out and out described but it seems there are a lot of clues given on how it works. Like you said, it will never be as fast as assembly. Probably best to mix them if a proper C compiler does see the light of day. You wont likely have an easy time of getting this to happen on a C compiler without all kinds of speacial features and functions to handle the main code. For now its asm plus the debugulator in the works will make RISC asm a breeze as you will be abel to see what every last register and flag in the risc is doing as it executes.

    New Jaguar GCC

It's just the way it is. The asm is not at all difficult and it is fast.
  12. You should try and find that landfill fillied with those old ET carts so you dont waste a good combat cart next time!
  13. Actually bleem does count. I have bleem for tekken 3, gt2 and mgs. It really does enhance the graphics from 32bit to 64. No it does'nt.....the DC does not have 64 bit graphics and the Playstations is usually 8 bit graphics.
  14. As far as i am aware this is absolutely true. Even my project still uses the 68k for the vbl handler - though it does STOP in between vbls. So does ours still....we do know it can be done though...its just a matter of getting to it. I know what you mean. For me its a question of enough finding enough registers, i'll probably end up having to store registers or something. I'm sure though its further in the future than yours Not with the current 'toys' where playing with....Too busy for that at the moment. Hey at least you had your eyes open when you where figuring out the trick for local to main jumping...I still feel like a class 'A' putz for not seeing that one.

  16. I have a suggestion. You should call that game "D3 Frog"... hehe. Something Frog is still a possibility. Gorf is indeed FROG backwards if you dont already know the story behind it. Jamie(then Jay) Fenton was nick named froggy and it some how got to Gorf. Stranger things have happened.
  17. Aw, don't tease us like that! Oh stop...you know you love it when we tease you!!!
  18. Yeah, last time I attempted to get my Jag BJL capable I killed it but I don't have a JAG CD yet so either way I'm in the dark Thus why I hope Jagware gets their JagCF out! Too bad Gorf 2000 had the plug pulled on it, I was hoping for some more 2000 series games for my Jag Still dissappointed I heard about Jag Gorf only after all production ceased. Not nearly as disappointed as I. But, chin up! Better to do it properly and that is not possible at this time. Well, again, if some miracle happens and Midway and Nutting finally get back to me, who the heck knows, but untill then, we'll have to come up with something else for a name. The game however , whatever it is finally called, will DEFINITELY bring you back to the days when you heard "My Gorfian Robots are unbeatable!"
  19. I assume you mean 'Surrounded!' demo available, if you simply hook those cables up, you could be playing. I understand that getting those uploaders to work can be trying sometimes. It really all depends on the OS you use. If you have an old '98 machine not doing anything, that is youe best bet for simplicity and sucess with BJL. You dont even need to mod the Jaguar anymore. A simple BJL CD verion burn and a cable and you're in! Again, as far as releases, we are currently doing other most exciting work for someone else at the moment and have no choice but to lower the jag stuff on the priority list. We still work on those jag apps when we have a moment or two, but we also are totally diggin the stuff we are doing now. I love coding my Jag to much to ever have to completely give it up.

    Jaguar Wallpaper

Yeah...its like your name.....all Atari! Looks great dude!
  21. Can I ask if you are still planning to release some more Jaguar games? I was under the impression that you had moved on to other platforms.... That would be fantastic - those screenshots & videos of "GORF 3D" look sweet... Jag releases are up in the air due to other projects. We certainly still put time and effort in to them but not nearly as much. We also feel that even for the Jag fans, the current work we do is something Im sure they and any true gamer would appreciate. No small dev outfit like ourselves would pass up the opportunity. It is not like we can retire now...no,no,no,no,no! We are loving the current work we aer doing and I am quite sure everyone else will. besides... How can one retire his true love? It just wont let me! Belive me , I've tried! Oh...and Gorf 3D is no longer the name. Unless I ever hear back from Dave Nutting and Midway, the original Gorf and 3DSSS are no longer and item.
  22. Im impressed! That is certainly a sign of owning pair to take on such a project...cool stuff!
  23. put me down for a protector That request should be to Carl...His comapny, SongBird publishes that title. You'll want to look out for other titles from us like Surrounded, Mad Bodies, Might Frog and what ever Gorf 3D is actually called.
  24. No game I know of eliminates the 68k completely. Ours will be the first. Battlesphere is the best you'll get doing things without main code. That game would probabley be fully textured at the same FPS with not having to flip the 5 4k modules every frame. That is over 3,000,000 cycles a second saved. That is a lot of polies or AI not there due to waste. Carmack said that he could have done MUCH better on the Jag if he knew some of the things he learned while making DOOM. Due to Atari breathing down thier necks, that never happened. Carmack even considered the Jag for the FIRST machine to get Quake. The Jaguar has hardly been exhausted. We plan and intend to prove just that.
