SkunkBoard SillyVenture Edition how to BUY.
classicvidgamer replied to willyvmm's topic in Atari Jaguar
Ah ok thanks for the explanation. I have the first Skunk board that came out so wasn't sure what these new versions offered. I'll definitely be on the look out for the next round of Sillyskunks! -
SkunkBoard SillyVenture Edition how to BUY.
classicvidgamer replied to willyvmm's topic in Atari Jaguar
I tried looking for a topic here on AA on what this version of Skunkboard is but can't quite find it. What are the differences or advantages of this version of Skunkboard? (If there is already a topic on this can someone help point me in that direction?) Thanks! -
Are these actual screenshots from the Jag CD version? The screenshots shown look sweet! Love the graphic style. I'll definitely be buying this for my Jag CD! Nice job!

Hi Bob, Is it still possible to get on the list for a copy of MC? Or is it too late? Great job by the way! Eli

I sure hope no news is good news!

I can't wait for this to come out! Ever since I saw the box for this in the Cloak and Dagger movie I've been excited about the reality of playing it on the 5200! I own the 5200 track ball controller so hopefully it will be just as fun to play as with the arcade spinner controller.

Man that is not cool. Thanks Al for helping out and thanks Jay for upgrading the site!
-
Yes just curious if there will be another batch? I wanted to get one but didn't move fast enough.

About the overlays I'm actually interested in buying 2, one for each controller. So either way you go is cool. If you only include 1 with the game then definitely make separate overlays available for those of us to add to the order. Thanks!

Hi Lars, I'd also like to look into doing code for the Jag. Though only for fun at this time since I know making a game can take a long time. I am going to be purchasing the Starcat dev CD in the very near future but am now curious as to what OS works best. I'm currently running XP but have had issues so I will be downgrading to 2000 soon. But you state that Win 98 may be better for dev? I have an older computer that I can reinstall 98 onto. Do you think that would be best? Thanks!

Sounds like a great puzzle game. I'm hoping interest will be high so that the game will be available other than at the JagFest Euro show. I'd be very interested in purchasing a copy. Thanks for supporting the Jag!

The Art Of Blaster - Making a 5200 label.
classicvidgamer replied to Atariboy2600's topic in Atari 5200
Hi Atariboy, Great job on all these labels. I've got a few questions about GIMP. Is it similar to photoshop or illustrator? Have you tried these other programs? I did a quick search on GIMP. It looks like its a freeware program? Just curious because I've never heard of GIMP but all your images look really nice. Thanks! -
Crickey, the SNES version looks like crap! Thanks for the link, the Jag version looks a hella lot better than that. 938443 Those 2 pics may not look great but it would be better to do a side by side comparison to see which is superior. I'll pull out my SNES copy of Total Carnage I picked up at a flea market and start to play it. Then when my Jag version comes I'll compare and see what the differences are.

Let me know if you have any luck finding a Colecovision multicart. I'd love to buy one also. I have a Vectrex multicart and a 5200 multicart which are both great. (though the controllers on the 5200 are a real pain in the behind!)

Zool 2 is VASTLY underappreciated, I think because the speed of it is actually ratched up to the point that it is faster than a Sonic title, but because of this it gives itself tons of slowdown when the action gets really fast. Personally, I like Zool 2 more than Rayman, which may sound crazy but it is true. 940873 Hmmm... I agree with you that it does sound crazy because it is! Rayman looks and sounds like something a 16-bit system might have had trouble pulling off. The graphics are colorful and the animation is amazing. I found the gameplay in Rayman challenging yet fun. Some stages had cool new moves or new gameplay elements thrown in. Like the level where the screen starts to fill with water and you have to keep jumping on platforms above you to keep from drowing. Talk about hectic! Zool 2 was frustrating and gameplay didn't make me want to keep playing. It just doesn't seem to take advantage of any of the Jag's 64 bit power and looks more like a 16 bit game. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it just wasn't that fun for me. But I'll have to pull it outta my closet again and give it another go. Maybe the second time I'll be more into it?

I'd pay up to $80 for this. I think Total Carnage is a great game. I love that style of game play. Similar to Robotron and Smash TV. Anyone know if it's 2 player or just 1 player? It's a great game to play with a friend. I wonder how it plays with the Jag controller? I guess I can pull out my SNES version and play a few levels of that. It'll probably be the same as playing the Jag version control-wise.

Which undiscovered Jag game do most want?
classicvidgamer replied to The_Laird's topic in Atari Jaguar
I voted for Zozyrox. But another web site has it listed as Zzyorxx II. ? I've wanted to see a great 2D shooter on Jag from the time I saw Native. That Native Demo blew me away. I was like "YES! I knew the Jag could do a sweet looking and playing 2D shooter!" It looked better than a lot of PS1 games. But by the time I saw it, it had already been long cancelled. The Raiden port for the Jag was good but the PS1 port (which included Raiden 2) was much better in my opinion. Protector and Defender 2000 are great but they are a different type of 2D shooter. And Trevor McFur is ok but the graphics are kinda cheesy and the gameplay just doesn't hold up. The background graphics leave much to be desired also. They could have done better! -
Braindead 13 Big Box goes cheap on epay
classicvidgamer replied to Cobra Kai's topic in Atari Jaguar
Well I wouldn't call it pristine but it is a really nice copy. Just got it in the mail this past weekend. YES! It's the last JAG CD game I needed to finish my collection of officially released JAG CD games. I couldn't wait to get it and was very happy when it finally came. I didn't want to pick up the jewel case only version so I had to wait patiently for another boxed one to show up on ebay.
