When oh when is Battlesphere going up on ebay?
classicvidgamer replied to courtesi's topic in Atari Jaguar
He had that waiting list, alright, but there were most certainly people on it for the majority of that time who were never contacted about getting those games. I had just missed out on the initial run of BS:G and shortly after put myself on the waiting list for the second run, only to never be contacted when he ran his final run. I know of several others who were in the same situation as well, although to be fair I haven't followed up with them to see if they ever got their copies. I tried emailing him about this but never got a response, and didn't press the issue any further since I was certain that no amount of bitching would get me a copy due to being on Doug's shit list. Seeing him auction off copies like this kinda sucks for those of us who got shafted. 918216[/snapback] I too was on one of the waiting lists to purchase a copy of BS . Then my name just kind of disappeared off the list and they ran out of copies. Oh well. -
I voted for 2D space shooter also. I love those games. The Dreamcast is still getting new 2D shooters in Japan. Why can't the Jaguar get an awesome one? A port of Raiden 2 would be killer.

Dead pixels bother me big time. I would definitely ask for a replacement if I bought a psp with a dead pixel. Though I wouldn't want to send it to Sony and have to wait 4-6 weeks for another one! I'd try my luck at the store where I purchased it from. I bought a new tv last year and though it wasn't a fancy new flat screen or anything like that, I was surprised that it had some dead pixels on it. I took it back to Best Buy and they exchanged it right away. Hopefully they would do the same for a defective psp. I think it's a crock of $hit that Sony's manual states that some dead pixels are normal. F-you Sony! (and no I'm not a Nintendo fanboy. I actually have , like, and play systems from all current and past console makers! Though I do not own a NeoGeo yet. Someday! )

Where were you when you found out Atari was officially dead?
classicvidgamer replied to Joey Kay's topic in Atari Jaguar
I wasn't too surprised when it finally happened. It seemed like the window of opportunity for Atari and the Jaguar was very small and they just didn't make it happen. I can't remember now if I bought my Jag at launch or waited a few months. But at the launch it just didn't seem like Atari was very serious about winning any battles against Nintendo and Sega. The launch games did not excite me. Not until I saw Tempest and Doom did I think "Yes! Now we're talking!" After that, great games like Iron Soldier and AVP kept me interested but there was too huge of a gap between decent games. I could tell then that Atari would not survive much longer. Of course I really wanted Atari to kick ass again and stomp all over Sega And Nintendo but the games weren't coming out frequently enough. Once Sony jumped in it was all over. So when they finally announced that Atari was no more it was sad but it wasn't a shock. -
Definitely check out Rayman. It's a colorful platfomer with great graphics. Also Cannon Fodder is tons of fun. The graphics, though not spectacular, get the job done. But the best thing is the game play. It's fun and addicting!

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
classicvidgamer replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
sorta new at this but thought I'd share a cool find. Sega Master System in box Double Dragon cart only Zillion cart only Phantasy Star in box -though no instructions All for $29 bucks. Only problem is that the Phantasy Star game doesn't seem to be working. Tried cleaning with alcohol/q-tip and eraser. The system won't even turn on when that cart is inserted. -
Please count me in for a CD of American Hero! I'm in the US and will not be attending JAGFEST UK
