Apologies if this is not the way to ask as this is the first time I've ever tried to buy a game on a forum. I've done a ton of trades but never specifically looked for a game.
Just looking for a decent price, not the one's on Ebay for $80 - $120, "sold" listings are all under $30 and I'm cool with a price around there. The one game eluding me for the last two years and one of my fav's on the Coleco.
Thanks !

I am in for one of each. I sold my Pac-Man like a dum-dum when I severely down sized my entire video game collection. Sometime you make mistakes...
-
There's this guy I always see, sells 'em sealed. I bought one from him quite some time ago. Looks real to me, lol
-
Rally-X ? I though Opcode was doing it but maybe I just really want it so that's my guess.

Ugh, all these amazing releases. I just can't keep up...that's a good thing though. Archon is one of my favorite games, played it like crazy on the C64 and still pull out the NES regularly.
I'm glad it's quite awhile off as I would love a CIB copy myself !

1 Lord of the Dungeon and 1 Mario Bros. for me if it's not too late. Thanks !

I will refrain from giving my opinion on VGA grading but I will say that it's pretty darn amazing to see a "90" on a Coleco cardboard box. Plastic casing, not so much. Thirty year old paper, very impressive indeed.

I have come to this topic quite a few times over the course of the last year, as many may have read, with my own feelings on the SGM situation. I'm not here to rehash but to say thank you to Eduardo for coming through where he said he would. I received my SGM in the mail today (sorry, never could figure out how to post a pic. The "image" tab does nothing when I paste my url in) and am super exited to finally start trying it out...after I get some games for it, lol. Thanks Eduardo.

Let's just say the prices used to be worth heading over there for but now it's a toss-up. I don't totally blame him as it's a business and he should have it in mind to make money, in all honesty though, today's new collector does not care about the deal or the wait to get the deal, just to get said game in their hands...but...He's still better than any price you can find online, just by a lot closer margin than before. Again, I apologize for not taking a better mental inventory as it occurred only for me to come here and post about a block away from my house and I had just run 3 miles before stopping in. He generally get's in a decent stock but what hit me is that I never see any ColecoVision anywhere, at least not such a sizable lot all at once. Next time I will not forget, lol.

Adam's a little weird when it comes to using your phone in his store and most of the games in question are behind the counter, on the wall right behind where he sits, lol. Good guy though, might send pics if you were to call and ask. I live a few blocks away so it's usually on my Saturday morning run to stop in and say hi. The prices there have gotten pretty competetive with Ebay so I tend to talk more games than actually buy anything. I will try for a few pics but that wouldn't be for another week or so.
No Slurpy though, I know that for sure.

I just left People Play Games and they just got a nice Coleco collection in. A boxed copy and sealed copy of Sierra's Threshold plus quite a few other good sealed and boxed games. Sorry, forgot to ask the price on any of them as I was there for PC Engine stuff today but thought anyone in the area might like to know. Thanks !

Dang...I want Goonies, love The Goonies !

I'm sure your email is flooded as is you in box Eduardo, so I will post here as well. I PM'ed over a copy of our Ebay transaction of my first run SGM order and payment I put in on September 27, 2012. I also included my Ebay ID ([email protected]). I did receive one email regarding the wait for a new name plate over a year ago to which I opted to wait for but haven't had any correspondence since. I'm not saying this in a negative light and I don't even really know you but have read these forums for quite a long time, am happy to see you are ok and just wanted to leave my information as this has ignited a new spark of excitement to finally get to play a few new great games. Thank you.

I've expressed my feelings of disdain in various other threads on this topic so no need to repeat those thoughts here, so with that being said...
...I paid on September 27, 2012 for a first run and am still waiting too but also realize the toll stress can place on you from my own experience. I want communication from Eduardo as much as anyone else but maybe that's just it, retuning to the situation on this forum is a pretty daunting task especially with so much on your plate.
In my posts I have been clear with my feelings on good business practices which have been greatly echoed here in the last 55 pages by so many others but I have always maintained (and stated) my hope that all is well with Eduardo.
I value my $95 greatly but above all, value a person's health and sanity so much more. I don't know if anyone truly does know where he is or the state his personal life is in but if you do, please convey that many of our more insistent posts do not underly an anger to Eduardo personally just a natural response to a tough situation we have all been placed in.

I am not sure who you think you will reach with multiple posts though, his logon says he hasn't been on since september of 2013. I guess it is possible he is looking at the boards as a guest but I doubt it.
He is a one man operation so it is not like someone else can take up the slack.
I do feel for you though and am glad I said no to waiting for the sticker
Honestly, I don't think I am going to reach anybody but it feels good to talk about it and see that there are others in the same predicament, lol. I needed to vent, I vented and now I wait again. I have a great family, a great job and great friends and that's all that really matters in this world. A piece of plastic is pretty far down on my list of concerns but never the less a concern when I have a few free moments.

I ordered a First run SGM and paid on September 27, 2012

I don't want to sound like I'm beating a dead horse but the reality of the situation is that's exactly what I'm going to do here. I've already expressed my frustrations in the much longer thread about this issue but maybe if this board floods with a little "constructive criticism" we may actually get something like an offer to get a refund or an SGM in the mail for a payment I made on September 27, 2012. I realize that many of you hold him in high regard and I have nothing against Eduardo personally but many people are also sugar coating the fact that he disappeared with our money for over a year with no explanation. That's not the definition of something an honest person would do.
Let's pretend you bid on one of my games on Ebay and I decided to not send it out or give you any reasons for not doing so, you would have a case opened up within days demanding the product or your money back. I've been patient for over a year, it's starting to wear thin and I'm certainly not going to just dismiss a loss of $95 especially when, ad nauseum, he's putting them on Ebay and mailing two or three to other people before I get one.
This is the ColecoVision forum, the only place I know where I can go to vent my frustrations to an otherwise great community about a pertinent and relatable topic. I'm not going to come here every day and repeat the same thing but I certainly will check in often as my limits of customer service are tested.

Again, no excuse for lack of communication and the long delay, but these things do happen, particularly with the more ambitious homebrew projects. There have been more egregious acts of non-delivery on the Atari side by some fairly notable individuals and in various other vintage tech communities, so let's not try to make this reflective of what the ColecoVision community is all about.
I certainly don't hold the entire ColecoVision community in contempt over one incident, as a matter of fact, I have bought games from Collectorvision, Pixelboy and even 4 games from Opcode (Pac-Man is amazing) in the past. Everyone was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with and any questions I may have had were answered within hours of asking before/during/after my purchases. I would 100% recommend the former two listed to anyone interested.
I don't post much on any forum that I'm signed up for but do enjoy reading all the great threads and the exciting news coming from them but now I am here with a legitimate concern. I have no issue with the time it has taken, I have an issue with the lack of information to where that time is going. I feel insulted that SGM's would go on Ebay before I received mine, if he needed more money to complete these I would have gladly thrown some extra bucks his way as long as he was up front and communicating regularly. Why would you take a break without even telling anybody ? How hard is is to send a mass email stating you need a few months off and how come only a selected few get responses from personal emails ? This isn't a very good way to hype your product, if my SGM ever does come I certainly will not be buying any games from Opcode again as he's already burned that bridge.
Again, I realize how large of an undertaking it is to put out something of this magnitude and to rely only on yourself and a few others to make it happen. What burns is that SGM's are going on Ebay and many of you got two or three of them before I received my one. I respect many are going to bat for him and trying to lighten the situation but he has my money and I have nothing, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's probably a duck.
Thank you DoctorTom for the kind words, if your friend is consistently complaining to you, your friends and all over Facebook about how his life sucks, don't just tell him to get a beer and stop bitching...listen...and don't pop pills, drugs are bad...

I'm still waiting for really...anything. I ordered and paid for a SGM the day they became available and the only correspondence I have received is an email over a year ago asking if I wanted a newer nameplate, to which I opted to wait for so I knew it may be a bit longer...but... I have periodically checked this forum and have sent Eduardo numerous emails and have yet to hear anything. I can't speak for anyone else but where I come from, when you give someone money and hear nothing from them personally for over a year that means you been had, your money is gone, you were robbed.
I've been through some utter crap this year topping of with a really good friend hanging himself two days before Christmas. I don't want to hear excuses about how bad this guy has been having it as it's no excuse not to respond to paying customers when apparently many have received their SGM, which indicates things can't be as horrible as some would like to make out. Some have even received an email saying a second batch is being worked on and shipping in April. I paid for a first run and see a ton on Ebay, yet where's mine ?
I've been calm and rational the entire time and will continue to do so as I believe in not spreading any more negativity but I would like to urge anyone inquisitive about buying one of these module's to temper their expectations and absolutely not give this guy any money, unless you are a long time member on this board, it seems you will only be out $100. A harsh welcoming for anyone to trying to get into the Coleco scene.
Maybe one will show up months down the road but until then I have no reason to believe it will and still feel my words are appropriate for the lack of customer service and lack of final product even if it does. I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here but since he does have a website, I am going to look into pursuing some kind of action against it, I work hard for my family and would rather give $100 to a needy charity than a disappearing internet thief.

I too have been patiently waiting for my SGM but thought I'd just reply to this thread in case he's reading. I paid for one the day they became available, waited and received the email asking if I wanted to wait for a new name plate which I opted to do...and haven't heard anything since, I tried to email and got nothing as well. Now, I've been keeping up with these threads so I know where I stand but wanted to echo that I'm also a little nervous.

Hey
Someone is selling a big boxed collection piece by piece, including homebrews, if anyone is looking to fill in some holes.
http://rover.ebay.co...=p2047675.l2562
I wonder if he is an AA'er?
Hey, it's me...I've been buying on Ebay since 2006 but I'm totally new to selling and I apologize but I'm not super familiar with all the options yet. I assumed I could ship anywhere unless noted, well, you know what happens when you ass-u-me. I was a little reluctant to do this in the first place and the Coleco is truly probably my favorite console (maybe tied with the Master System) but that's just it...My weird way of showing my family that they mean the most to me and adding money, as little or as much as I get, to buy a house for them is top priority. Yeah, I could say nice things, bring flowers, buy dinners but they know how much I love this stuff and how hard it is to part with it. I could sell my SNES, Genesis, Master System, etc. but Coleco is the hardest so that's what I chose first. I'm not going to sell everything I own (try and pry my 2600 away from me) and will always collect but, like I said, this is my personal way of saying I care. Lol, all collectors are a little crazy in some way though, wouldn't you say ?
I'm always lurking around here and keeping up to date, I just don't post much. Thank you for my small, one-man therapy session and thank you for looking at my auctions, don't bid too high and make sure they get in collectors hands !

Count me in for one Mario Bros. Been working crazy hours for the last month and been sick for like two weeks, nice to return and see this being made available, lol. Now if only Ghosts n Zombies would be made again...Hmmm ?

Someone really needs to make Solar Fox, totally doable too !

And who is going to be the disinterested observer? Making $14k through the raffle, giving it to a friend as the winner, resell it again. Not saying Wonder007 would do that but all doubts would need to be eliminated. Only way I can think of would be a certifying notary.
I've lurked around here for quite awhile before I finally decided to join and I think most people on here seem pretty trustworthy...and...if we stated that $20 was the going rate I wouldn't be too sad to lose it, on principal yes but monetarily I'm ok in life right now.
Maybe to expand on what I've said, a small portion could go to some charity so not only does the seller get paid, one of us could own a boxed freakin' Air Raid and we could make some children a little happier for the holidays...If it was charitable would it be an more legal ? I don't mean that as a front either, I try to do nice things for people as often as possible but it could also bring a ton more traffic here and sell a bunch more tickets possible garnering more press and more ticket "donations."

Thanks for the help everybody. I should have bought one long ago when the price was reasonable. I was just going by the "sold" listings on Ebay and that was around $30. I saw the $80 one but never use a "buy it now" as an indicator of a game's price, those are the one's that just sit and never get sold, you guys know that. That $120 one, or however much it was, has been sitting on Ebay for months now and no one has bit. I mean, a game's worth whatever someone is willing to pay I guess but I'm frugal.
I'll try posting on the "wanted" board and see what happens. Maybe I can get lucky, maybe it's just a game I'll never own until that good deal falls into my lap but I am patient, that's for sure, lol.
Thanks again !
