  1. Yeah, cost prohibitive. I can make the cases, though. LMAO
  2. Well, on my site, it lists them per case. When I chenged the cart structure, I forgot to ad the bulk pricing. Good catch. On the site, if you ordered without contacting me, it'd work out to $5/case. For an order like that, I wouldn't charge you more than $4/case. That's why I have a custom order form. That said, I agree with you on the large collections like that. If someone came along wanting to do that, I'd help out, but, I wouldn't gouge.
  3. In the interests of transparency, here's where I buy my UGCs. EDIT: I forgot to mention that my Atari 7800 Jr. came today.: Waiting on my family's ColecoVision to arrive, then I have to acquire a Vader 2600, and I'm probably set on consoles.
  4. On the site, These types of cases when purchased in bulk average a buck or two. Guys like this buy them at said price, and then turn around and usually ask anywhere from $5-20/ea for said cases. This guy isn't as bad as some of the clowns on Ebay, but these prices are still way above market value. On the site, the max you'll pay is $7 shipped, and the lowest is $5 shipped for UGCs. Larger orders (above ten), I'm really flexible. There are other vendors that go as high as $10 or $11 per case. All I'm looking to recoup is the cost of shipping, ink, and paper (and a little for my time/effort). I would like to make it absolutely clear that I'm very transparent with what I am doing, and I encourage people to make their own cases on the site. Some folks don't want to be bothered with modding the cases, and I respect that. I'm selling the service of puting the cases together, not promoting myself as a source of the cases themselves. That's why I named the business BudgetGameCases - The other vendors that I found would have cost me over $350 to case my entire collection - that's ridiculous. I just wanted to give other people in my position another option, IF they don't want to make their own cases. Also, a lot of the covers I have, I had to make myself - try getting a quick turnaround on that from anywhere else. I'm not looking to make a fortune - just a small difference for someone that wants the help..
  5. Made my first sale on BudgetGameCases.com! Feelin' good.

  6. I agree that they should have contacted you before doing ANYTHING. Beyond that, I don't see an issue.
  7. I agree, but, I can't help but feel like eBay is part of the problem. They are making it so you can't sell repros safely on eBay. If it's a REPLICA, why can't you notate that it is?! That makes very little buisiness sense. I realize they're just trying to avoid claims, but, it's a little unfair.
  8. If that's what I wanted I wouldn't have asked the question that I did. Frankly, I could have a Harmony cart, and I would still want these two particular games. So, the question is still open for an answer.
  9. So, where does one get legitimate repriductions at a decent price? I, for one, really want to get my hands on TCM and Halloween reproductions - I already made original UGC covers for them - just need the carts, dammit!
  10. I'm on my fifth copy of Tecmo's Deception. I've owned over four NES's, five PSones, three PS2s, seven Xbox 360s, 3 Ataris, 2 ColecoVisions (never at the same time, and those are just the duplicates!)... what does that tell you?
  11. Party at my house - my friend's list is invited.

Games, I am sure. Grog, however, is welcome.

  12. I have an Atari 7800 Jr, and the 2600 wireless controllers. I have decided that I want more options. What I am looking for is a pair of controllers that are in great shape, work well, and have cords and/or extensions included that are at least nine feet in length. If I have to go to multiple sources to get this, that's fine - I'm just sick and tired of eBay.
  13. I rock Blu Ray, HD-DVD, DVD, VHS/S-Video, Video CDs, and anything digital on my TV, since my Laptop is connected to it.
  14. The Deception/Trapt series - I lost a job, two girlfriends, and, eventually, an apartment over the first one. In the process, I gained a best friend (That I've retained for the better part of 13 years), and a healthy understanding of addiction. In the last six months, I've tracked down all the others in the series, and plan to get 100% of all the traps in each, then copy that data onto a dedicated memory card for each game, and pledge to play through each game annually with ease (not sure if I'm going to do it in one long marathon, or do one game per quarter). I had a healthy Halo addiction for a long time, but that waned once Imy onlione friends dwindled, and I no longer lived with people that played online.
  15. *sarcastically rolls his eyes* FINE: 8/25/2012: Edited for massive reorganization:
  16. I thought it was high time I shared my game collection. I'll post My systems once I get them arranged the way I want (waiting on a one to arrive.) The vast majority of the cases are customs that I sell as BudgetGameCases.com, many of which are original (such as the Kagero cover.) Let me know if you have any questions. :_)
  17. I subscribed from 89-93, myself, and, to further your point: Game Informer was the superior mag until it wet digital a few years back. In this case, I don't think that the writing has suffered - it's just that the format is superior. Maybe we older folk are hard-wired that way.
  18. As far as I was concerned, there was no need for Nintendo Power after the SNES was retired.
  19. In that case, go with a reliable PC capture device, edit the footage however you wish, then burn it to a playable disc. That may have the least amount of moving parts for what you are atempting to achieve. There are a lot of crappy capture devices out there. Oddly enough, the Adaptec Gamebridge is easily the best SD capture device out there, and only runs about $30-35. I've used that with no problems whatsoever. I'm even able to run a splitter off of my AV switch directly to it with no degradation in signal, so, I don't have to unhook anything. DVD recorders are the preferred method for a lot of people, but, I prefer not to have to convert the DVD. To me, that is an extra step. It's all in what you want the end result to be. As for the backup debate, I'd rather spend $100 a year for a 2TB external hard drive than that much on blank DVDs that take up ridiculous amounts of space. That's me $0.02.
  20. Where'd you get the crates? I could use a dozen or so of those.
  21. My hand is pulverized. The "Budget" in BudgetGameCases.com means that I can't afford to get ergonomic end nippers. ><

  22. For the cost of shipping, you can buy the power cord and controllers: Power cord Controllers I bet you'll have better luck trading the games.
  23. The times are changing. Physical media will be gone in 50 years, unless you count hard drives. By then, all those will be reliable solidstate drives, or something better. I'm not saying that I wouldn't love to be able to buy a Blu Ray in 50 years, but, I am saying that it's unlikely. THink of population issues, and the sheer lack of space on the planet.
