      It's not pretty, but, it's functional. :)

  2. Bump. If you're going to view, at least vote, please. I've got a skeleton, but functional, website up already.
  3. I bought a bunch of cases off of GameCaseWorld.com. Those folks are great, and do great work, but, my collection is just too damn big to spend $10 a case on. Instead, I invested in a good printer, plastic shears, a paper cutter, and a case of UGCs. Making my own cases is great, but, I know not everyone wants to be bothered with it. Of course, most of us know about Universal Game Cases, and that this entire conversation would never happen without the hard work being done over at The Cover Project. Most of my covers come from there, including designs from GameCaseWorld.com, which are, incidentally, usually adapted from TCP community-donated templates, anyway. My pointis this: this is a more-or-less open source sort of thing, but I know people don't have a lot of time or money to spend on that sort of thing, but want their games cased. Given the fact that I don;t use paper as thick as GCW.com, and that my case mods do not include foam, etc., would there be anyone here that would be in the market for custom UGCs for $6-7 shipped? I'm not trying to undercut Game Case World, as I freely admit that their cases are the best in the business, and truly of archival quality. I'm not trying to cheapen the work that the folks at The Cover Project do, nor do I wish to take ANY credit for their art. I simply want to provide an alternative for the gamer/collector that doesn't need archival quality, has a large collection, and simply doesn't want to be bothered with making their own. I will also do DVD cases for PS1, DC, GC, etc. If there is enough interest, I will post again when the cases can be produced (waiting on a new case of UGCs). If not, we can forget this conversation ever took place.
  4. Agreed. Now, if he had the phrase "reproduction cart" on the label and in the auction, I'd buy one, to be honest. If it plays, it plays.
  5. Per his feedback, he's sold two others in the space of a monh at the same price. NO WAY he has three originals.
  6. Interested in the 2600 jr. lot. Waiting on an ebay auction to end. I'll PM you tomorrow if it's still available.
  7. I have a couple of those. I was going to send you an old NES controller, hoping it could be a twofer: Mod it for Atari use, and extend the cord, etc. blah.
  8. CHecking out the new Harry S. Plinkett commentary on Star Wars: Ep IV.

  9. I'm all in for Simon's Quest for NES, the PS1 memory card, NES Marble Madness, and the 2600 GI Joe. PM sent.
  10. Even casual fans of this flick should get their hands on the collector's 25th anniversary edition of this movie. I managed to snag it on DVD for about $5. It has some of the best BTS documentaries I've seen. Yes, it IS a must watch.
  11. I'd say it's worth it for the Kinect and XBLA titles alone. The Kinect gets a bad rap - there is a lot of functionality in that little guy. I've had an Xbox 360 since 2006, and I haven't regretted a day of it. I've never paid one cent for repair, and I was able to upgrade to an S model with a Kinect for about $100 out of pocket (SO worth it). Obviously, the back catalog speaks for itself. Think of tit this way: You can get most of the first three years' worth of titles at flea market prices on eBay. If you buy a 360 today, and only play good games on it that already exist, you have at least five years of gaming ahead of you. Now, factor in the XBL Gold membership at $60 a year, plus the aforementioned $299 price tag, and you're talking about a net cost of $9.98 a month to have a great cosole for the next five years, to say nothing of beyond. If you're even on the fence, get one. There's no telling if the next generation systems will be worth sneezing at.
  12. My new printer came! Just printed out 7 replacement covers for some GC, PS1, and PS2 games. I am elated! Can't wait for my UGCs to arrive!

  13. Metal Storm poster on the way, and I haven't even made coffee yet!

I will, as soon as I get it. There's a great pic in the.golden.ax's FS thread right now, though. ;)

  14. I'll be grabbing a NES modified one of these days. Curious: Can you extend the cord of the controller while you are at it?
  15. ...OOH, annnnnd the Sega Genesis X-Men with insert. Paypal on the way.
  16. Watching video games is just as fun as playing them, sometimes... if the game sucks!

Same here he is funny. He also helps me not play certain games. Though still having them is a different story.

See, that's the one trap I've managed to avoid so far, is having games not worth playing. HOWEVER, COMMA: Having only one or two must-play games per consoles in some cases is overkill (Example: Super Wing Commander, stay thee back!). >_<
