  1. MM5 fetches in upwards of $30, and MM6 can command a $60 price tag. >< I'll eventually get them, but, yeeeesh. $30 is fair for that MM, but $60 for a MM game... wow Game Speculation is destroying todays prices. Sorry, didn't see this before. That's exactly the understanding I'm looking for - I have absolutely NO desire to unfairly profit here. One part of modding UGCs that most people don;t factor in is the physical pain. I bruised my hand pretty bad with my end nippers on the first 80 or so. Using a Dremel can ruin cases pretty quick, if you aren't careful. Some folks buy CIB for display purposes, adding 100-1000% cost on their collecting budget, which I have never understood. I truly appreciate the open discussion here - it really means a lot. Thanks! No worries, for sure... for sure. I'm right there with you - that's why I thought 2 bucks a pop for that kinda effort/time is definitely not a bad number... and I feel that most would agree with that. Well... for most systems, it's financially feasible to do so... for NES/SNES/Game Boy/Game Boy Color games, 9/10... it makes no sense what people ask for those games, cib. Sealed, lol..... for example, there is a guy on this board that thinks a sealed Super Mario Bros. for the NES is worth a K. Lol... I told him, good luck there with your hand out No problem, keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure some will appreciate it. I apologize if my message came off as hostile... I come off like an asshole 9/10 when in reality, I'm a pretty nice guy... albeit extremely passionate about the things I believe in. Thanks for not taking what I said the wrong way.
  2. Heck, at $4/case, including your time to print out the graphic insert, and put it all together... that's basically $2/case for your time to do the graphic insert/etc "work"... and that is not a bad deal tbch... that's actually pretty fair. $2/pop... that's a lot of time. I'd much rather do it myself though, it's a DIY project for a reason imho. But all the more power to you for offering your time/services at such a cheap rate... after thinking about it, $2/pop is a pretty good deal actually, 'especially' for people who simply don't have the time. I would reply to my last statement (though) with - if one doesn't have the time, then why are they collecting... but I guess that's for another convo. Yeah, cost prohibitive. I can make the cases, though. LMAO What are they going for these days? (loose, vg-nm Label, clean cart overall) I paid around $20-30 for 5, and same for 6... I believe... grabbed 'em back in early '10.
  3. The responses in this thread about buying used HDs scare me. I didn't know people did such things... to save a buck (wow)
  4. I paid $39.99 for a sealed copy in the last couple months... I waited around 6+ months for it to drop.. didn't take long. I paid $29.99 for both system copies of Arkham Asylum GOTYE sealed... saw that bs coming a miiiiiile away with the first release, and knew they'd pull the same stunt with the sequel. The whole thing of, "I'm a Publisher, please give me full price for an incomplete and buggy game" - is nothing more than a Game, and as Gamers, we have to dominate them at these silly pricing schemes they attempt to pull on everyone. As long as fools continue to support said inane policies, there will continue to be shady practices perpetuated by todays Pubs/Devs on the Gaming Public. The only thing that can stop them... is you guessed it... Gamers
  5. What surprises me is that so many are disappointed/jaded with the current affairs of todayGen Gaming, yet they're still willing to support companies at launch. I don't get it.
  6. I just looked again, are you seriously missing Mega Man 5 and 6????
  7. These types of cases when purchased in bulk average a buck or two. Guys like this buy them at said price, and then turn around and usually ask anywhere from $5-20/ea for said cases. This guy isn't as bad as some of the clowns on Ebay, but these prices are still way above market value. On the site, the max you'll pay is $7 shipped, and the lowest is $5 shipped for UGCs. Larger orders (above ten), I'm really flexible. There are other vendors that go as high as $10 or $11 per case. All I'm looking to recoup is the cost of shipping, ink, and paper (and a little for my time/effort). I would like to make it absolutely clear that I'm very transparent with what I am doing, and I encourage people to make their own cases on the site. Some folks don't want to be bothered with modding the cases, and I respect that. I'm selling the service of puting the cases together, not promoting myself as a source of the cases themselves. That's why I named the business BudgetGameCases - The other vendors that I found would have cost me over $350 to case my entire collection - that's ridiculous. I just wanted to give other people in my position another option, IF they don't want to make their own cases. Also, a lot of the covers I have, I had to make myself - try getting a quick turnaround on that from anywhere else. I'm not looking to make a fortune - just a small difference for someone that wants the help.. Fair enough According to the link you posted, that comes to $2.38/case... that site is making a little over a buck a case. It costs around $1-2/case to have these manufactured, so that's not a bad price directly from them... they're not adding too much on top which is solid. I'm sure it's a looooot of time spent finding assets for starters, and then going through the process of printing everything out, fitting it to the cases/etc... not sure how to put a price on that... but at your prices, Casing my Collection would be prohibitive. For example, I have well over 130 for my Genny library alone, similar for SNES/etc/etc... what is $130 x $7 = lol... that's $910 for 130 cases. Yeeeeeaaaah... I think I'll be able to put those together myself, for a fraction of the cost. Time is money though, but this is something that should be done by the Collector imho. What's the point of a DIY project if you pay someone else to do it.... (makes zero sense)
  8. Any service that says, "Pay me to store your data, and to backup your data.... with no promise or guarantee that said data will in any way now or in the future, be secure in any capacity. Also, we might claim rights to some or all of your data if we see fit for any number of reasons. These policies can change at any time with or without notification to you, the customer." ^ ain't gettin my mula or my support I'll take care of my own business when and where I can have full control, thank you very much. Same thing with regard to social networking services, "We retain the right to assert ownership of any data you upload to our networks. This includes pictures, music, and any written information. Your acceptance of this EULA is an agreement on your part to our demands." Yeah... I'll stay in the "50s" where it's safe.
  9. Strictly depends on condition... need more input. What does the label look like on either of those? condition of box/manual for Shadowrun? Condition is such an important factor for price, I'm not sure why soooo many people ignore condition. No visible damage to either label. The instruction book for Shadowrun has no creases, water damage or missing pages. It looks like it's barely been looked at, if it ever was. Shadowrun... Gamers price $15-20, market imho... $30-50 depending on current availability/demand. PSIV.... ? $10-20? CIB in nm-vg condition for the hard box is easily worth $30-50 depending on current availability/demand. Together in said condition in this market... $30-40 shipped would be solid imo.
  10. I think you have a really nice start!!! Those are some great looking games for the 7800!!
  11. lolololololololololol you are funny Mike, all that money could go to charity, I almost spit my coffee out when I read that. I'll give you some trolling advice, since you can use it. Now, the charity line was epic, seriously I really laughed but...if you want anyone to take you seriously as a troll you need to establish a little more of a rep. If you drop a bomb like this with only 5 total posts, nobody will even respond to you, well, maybe Ax but he responds to everyone Don't give everything in the first post, start with asking why he doesn't just do emulation, then about 3 or 4 posts in you can drop the "donate to charity" bomb on him. Have an avatar, every good troll has one. Nothing too flashy but something other people use. Everybody always looks at a posters post count with no avatar and then we can tell you are new. You might be able to slip by un-noticed and get a few laughs before we catch you. Oh, and I almost forgot, go F yourself (just a preview of some awesome responses you might get if you learn to troll properly) In closing, even though Mike is obviously a joke poster, it's terrible that there are actually people in the world that think this way. Just because you work hard, sacrifice and get ahead in life some people feel you "owe" the world something just because you made the right choices in life and reached your goals. Don't let this guy get to you at all ccatalyst, he is just trying to get a reaction (unsuccessfully I might add) Charity, lol, classic... First bold...proof that you're a geek an nobody can take you serious. Only forum losers that sit on a computer all day like you use that word...10,000 posts? sun light kid. ' second bold...I couldn't care less if you take me serious or not, Its a public forum on the internet. You obviously take this way to seriously. Third bold...Don't want one. I can't tell if thats you in your "avatar" or if you're just "trolling" because anyone with common sense knows, You look like that, or worse. forth bold...U mad? I wasn't even talking to you to begin with so please hop off my nuts. I was just asking a legit question. I just don't see the point in this (unless the.golden.ax is right, then I take what I said back). I know many people who are successful , "work hard", "sacrifice" and "get ahead in life", but they don't just throw money away just because they can. My uncle makes 400,000+ a year and he drives a mini van. You need to get your priorities straight if you have to reply to me, when I wasn't talking to you to begin with. That's someone who looks for a "reaction". Now calm down and go cry yourself to sleep big guy. Pce. A) ccatalyst has an awesome collection B) Crazyclimber is a chick magnet in real life. If he wasn't married with family responsibilities, and I was a chick... whoa watch out. C) Ask your uncle if he wants to donate some money to my cause. I call it "cause I want money." I got trolled, and I'm quite upset about it... considering I was making a concerted effort to troll the community, this very much angers me. That's exactly what I was thinking.

  14. Hi, I see you. I've noticed your quotes of me... I can see that you'd like to invoke a reaction out of me. Is me noticing you good enough? Will that suffice? Hi, I see you.
  15. It does not. Past Email, there is zero reason to store my information on someone elses server, and allow them to "not take responsibility" for my information. No thanks.... I am counting the days until Businesses lose their secrets along with God knows what else due to espionage. And for gamers (myself included, Hi PSN and XboxLive - for the few exclusives I couldn't find in a physical format) who are supporting DL only 'licensed' games, yup... eventually said company will go out of business, and the gamer will have nothing to show for it. I still haven't figured out how I'm supposed to properly back up all of my DL purchased games... without having to rely on the companies I bought the games from. Physical is King, and my Data is my Data.
  16. Probably more suprising to you is that I don't pay to play Multi Player games... never have, never will. I've literally 'only' been a horses ass on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the PSN. That game is so stupid, there's no other way for me to play it and attempt to get my $15 worth. Lol, can't block anything because all the opponents are constantly throwing projecticles and doing mega special blahblah moves... it's a joke, definitely the biggest joke of a Fighter I've ever seen. So in order to make myself feel better for being ripped off out of $15, I get on there and have fun ****ing with the 'hardcore' fighter fans who take that bs game seriously. SFII all the way for me, this whole "team fighter" thing is just g*y. At one point, with minimal effort... I managed to become ranked in the 70s at Tetris on the PSN... so I take some of these MP games seriously. When I'm hot on Tetris, I average 60 tpm, and 11 Tetrises in a game... I've only run into a few who could **** w/me when I'm jamming, and it's usually the Asians 9/10. They're the Masters of Tetris and RTS. So... next time, before assuming someone doesn't take any MP gaming seriously, you can simply ask instead of making rude assumptions.
  17. I hear you... that's pretty funny. How can I dive into part V when I haven't even completed part III, and have barely started IV? I guess where I beg to differ from the average gamer, is that when I see, "such and such game release date yada yada... I'm thinking, that's not the real release date, there's still multiple bits of dlc, bugs to be fixed, and patches to be included... before the real, and 100% true official release comes out". I worry that with a lot of these console games, that the patches won't be available 10-20 years from now (no idea if activists are truely going to make them available online for the sake of gamers, independent of what the Pubs/Devs want, if said Pubs/Devs go out of business and are no longer able to make patches available, for example..), so for my 'biggest' RPG type games, I would much rather prefer having the latest patches on the physical disc. But 99% of it, is simply wanting the complete experience available to me from the first moment my newly created character steps foot into his new world. Otherwise, imho... you're just playing a beta. that's my lil opinion though
  18. My little world is better than yours. I refuse to play a game until it is at least 30 years old and running on an emulator. Before I play, I put on a blindfold and tie one hand behind my back to make it more fun. Then to celebrate when I get a high score, I set off a string of firecrackers in my pants. My little world is more unique and special than your lil world could ever be. You might as well stop playing games because your lil world sucks in comparison. You mad?
  19. This is literally the most organized 'for sale' thread I've ever seen... bravo on the way you described everything including your pics/etc. Top notch presentation all around!
  20. spreadsheet, nothing fancy at the moment I have everything catalogued except for PC, and Digital DL only games.
  21. agreed ^ I did not know that to be the case... are you serious? That doesn't make much sense...
  22. Does anyone plan on supporting it at Launch?
  23. It'll definitely be a year or two away... it took 2-3 years for FO3 to get it's act together. I pride myself in doing what others are not doing... I have enough RPGs to last me a lifetime, there is zero reason for me to 'stay current' with games, lol. For example, I've been playing the same character in Morrowind on the PC (with the MGE mod of course) since '06. ESV who?... lol, I'm still on III & IV. My character barely has 10-12 hrs in IV. As you can see, I'm not ready for V... and won't be for years... which (for me) perfectly coincides when the GOTYE of V will surface. My lil world rules.
  24. That's another thing I've done... is quit right before someone gets the win. They love that
  25. Interesting, guys... I never knew there were issues with M. not properly supporting driving wheel peripherals.
