    Xmas Cart

Hi Folks, It's approaching that time of year again, so I'm offering a new Xmas Cart this year for those who missed the previous years releases. This new cartridge contains my four festive themed games, "Stocking Filler", "Save The Trees", "Parcel Panic" and "Space Tree X". £18 + postage. Order via my website : www.binarystarsoftware.com/?page_id=321
  2. Happy Halloween! Tip for Death Chase : Hold buttons 1+3 together on the Death Chase title/options screen to access the hidden game 'Skull Soccer'.
  3. There have been some delays but we have now had word from the printers that the second run of overlays is finally in production. We should have the next batch of 100 out to preorder customers as soon as we receive them. Thanks for your patience!
  4. They aren't recycled, they are home-made using a mold as far as I can tell, the 'wear' at the edges are due to an imperfect mold. Most homebrewers (including myself) use brand new cartridge shells made using Sean Kellys mold. These are almost indistinguishable from the original GCE shells. All of them have a 1982 copyright as they are molded from the original GCE cartridges.
  5. Yeah Nixie clocks are beautiful things. Thanks for posting the 2600 digi clocks, I wasn't aware of them.
  6. Haven't had any problems fitting them myself though they are quite thick compared to some other overlays.
  7. My response (for the benefit of others who may ask the same question) I'm afraid I cannot give an exact date for the second run atm. The overlays job is in the hands of the printers and has been for the past 5 weeks. I'll be updating the website and sending a mass email once copies are available again but unfortunately we can only move as quickly as the printers do. Thanks, Chris
  8. They are on buttons 1 and 2 on port 2 so the emulators would need to send the correct grey code through these buttons when processing a spinner controller.
  9. Bill, Hopefully it'll show up soon but please PM me your full name you used to pay so I can check your order tracking. Thanks.
  10. The hidden game is accessed via a secret button combo. There's a clue on the back of the DC instructions.
  11. There's a lot of optimisation in Thomas' drawing routines. By not using the stock Vectrex BIOS functions you can save quite a significant amount of CPU time.
  12. Here's a pic of the games before they went into shipping boxes
  13. Hi Bill, I'm afraid shipping was delayed by a couple weeks as the foam inserts for NOX/DC came later than we expected. However, I am currently shipping out the first 100 orders so I would expect you should all have your copies in 1-2 weeks depending on your location. Folks in UK/Europe should expect their copies this week or next. I hope the games are worth the wait
  14. Updated to v1.01 which allows you to use whichever button you press to start as the fire button. Should help extend your button 4s life http://binarystarsoftware.com/bin/QuickShotv101.BIN

    Quick Shot

‘Quick Shot’ is a simple skill test application. Press button 4 as many times as you can within 10 seconds. Try and beat your friends best fire rate! Download http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/?p=363
  16. A slightly wobbly video of me playing arcade mode in NOX :
  17. A short video demo of Death Chase with overlay.
  18. Using the Atari driving controller in port 2, you can only use it for steering and buttons 3 and 4 on the Vectrex controller for gear/pedal. It is not possible to use the button on the Atari driving controller for acceleration without making an adapter as the pin it uses is used by the joystick Y axis on the Vectrex controller.
  19. Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope you enjoy the games when they arrive. Technically, there are 3 games on the NOX/DC cartridge but I'll leave it up to you guys to find out how to get to "Skull Soccer" And the same goes for Galaxy Wars/Space Launcher and the 2 player "Space Race"
  20. The first run of NOX/Death Chase is now sold out. However Galaxy Wars/Space Launcher is still available and preorders are open for the next run of NOX/DC.
  21. Orders back up at : http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/?page_id=321 Be quick!
  22. Sorry guys, it's been a busy weekend! The order page should be back up later today. Overdrive controller is not supported but Vectrosis controllers and Atari driving controllers are both supported.
  23. NOX / Death Chase package contents. We will start taking orders this weekend.
  24. I'll be taking orders via the website/paypal once we release properly.
