They are on buttons 1 and 2 on port 2 so the emulators would need to send the correct grey code through these buttons when processing a spinner controller.
-
Bill, Hopefully it'll show up soon but please PM me your full name you used to pay so I can check your order tracking. Thanks.

The hidden game is accessed via a secret button combo. There's a clue on the back of the DC instructions.

There's a lot of optimisation in Thomas' drawing routines. By not using the stock Vectrex BIOS functions you can save quite a significant amount of CPU time.

Here's a pic of the games before they went into shipping boxes

Hi Bill,
I'm afraid shipping was delayed by a couple weeks as the foam inserts for NOX/DC came later than we expected. However, I am currently shipping out the first 100 orders so I would expect you should all have your copies in 1-2 weeks depending on your location. Folks in UK/Europe should expect their copies this week or next.
I hope the games are worth the wait

Updated to v1.01 which allows you to use whichever button you press to start as the fire button. Should help extend your button 4s life

-
‘Quick Shot’ is a simple skill test application.
Press button 4 as many times as you can within 10 seconds.
Try and beat your friends best fire rate!

Using the Atari driving controller in port 2, you can only use it for steering and buttons 3 and 4 on the Vectrex controller for gear/pedal. It is not possible to use the button on the Atari driving controller for acceleration without making an adapter as the pin it uses is used by the joystick Y axis on the Vectrex controller.

I think a lot more releases should be "double sided" two games on one cart in one CIB is a beautiful thing.
I'm an overlay nerd so I thought I was gonna miss out on this release and I couldn't figure out 2 + 2 when I was hung up on trying to get my order in.
More cheers more beers, we all got a great package. Binary should do more double releases!
Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope you enjoy the games when they arrive. Technically, there are 3 games on the NOX/DC cartridge but I'll leave it up to you guys to find out how to get to "Skull Soccer"

And the same goes for Galaxy Wars/Space Launcher and the 2 player "Space Race"

-
The first run of NOX/Death Chase is now sold out. However Galaxy Wars/Space Launcher is still available and preorders are open for the next run of NOX/DC.

Sorry guys, it's been a busy weekend! The order page should be back up later today.
Overdrive controller is not supported but Vectrosis controllers and Atari driving controllers are both supported.
-

Interesting. I've used sampled audio on Vectrex before but I used the method of modulating the volume. I thought that was what Spike did too? Does anyone have any code examples of doing this and bypassing the sound chip?

Can you explain the "Direct modulation of the speaker via the 6809 itself" part?
-
Yeah, the built in speaker makes it sound great imo. Its a pretty average sound chip. Nowhere as good as the likes of the c64s SID or even the NES or Gameboy sound chips. The Vectrex sound chip only produces square waves, you cannot alter PWM. However, you can generate some very cool sounding tones and effects by using the amplitude modulation feature of the chip.

The ,manuals arrived yesterday. That was the final part to be printed so we are aiming to release probably around the end of the month.

NOX / Death Chase
in Vectrex

My response (for the benefit of others who may ask the same question)
I'm afraid I cannot give an exact date for the second run atm. The overlays job is in the hands of the printers and has been for the past 5 weeks. I'll be updating the website and sending a mass email once copies are available again but unfortunately we can only move as quickly as the printers do.
Thanks,
Chris
