  1. For some reason, every time I try to download any of these hack files, it gives me an error. Is anyone else experiencing that also?
  2. Absolutely loved Double Dash and the addition of two riders on a kart. Also has the best course of all-time... Baby Park!!!! I could play that course with friends for hours and hours!!!
  3. I love the fact that Mario Kart: Double Dash, one of my all-time favorite games, made it onto one of my favorite tv shows (Veronica Mars).

1st game convinced me to buy my first Playstation. Toasted everything I had previously seen on the Jaguar+CD which was my newest console at the time.

I didn't know they were making HD remakes of the three PSX games, that's really cool! :)

  5. Moon Patrol Freeway Maze Craze Crystal Castles Solar Fox Kaboom! Stampede Indy 500 Outlaw Space Attack
  6. I've found that Water Ski actually plays very well with the ProLine joystick. Other than that, Ms. Pac Man, Pole Position 2 and Robotron: 2084 are all alright. Games that require you to press buttons frequently are very, very bad though. lol
  7. You can always try a local retro gaming shop. It might be more expensive but at least you know it doesn't run the risk of getting damaged in shipping.
  8. The Sony Playstation gets my vote due to the amazingness that is Point Blank.

  10. Happy to hear you finally got what you wanted as a kid. It's a great feeling!
  11. Alien Storm for the Sega Genesis. Didn't really have too many choices though. The only other Halloween-themed coop game I have is Zombies Ate My Neighbors... but I like Alien Storm better.
  12. Ghostbusters - Atari 2600 Super Smash TV - SNES Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest - SNES
  13. This isn't related to this topic but I just had to say something because I'm so happy to see Harold the dog from the Mr. Rossi cartoon as your avatar. You just made my day! I used to watch those cartoon movies as a child and I've never met another person who knew who Mr. Rossi was.
  14. Killer Instinct - SNES - Got completely destroyed by Eyedol... had to give up after about 10 tries to beat him... Wipeout XL - Sony Playstation Joe and Mac - SNES
  15. I am very bad at Killer Instinct for the SNES but I really do love the soundtrack! Especially the intro... :)

I was impressed back in the day, although the controls (unless you had the arcade stuff) were pretty tiny. All the half circle, full circle, quarter circle moves and having to keep doing them over and over to keep up combos. Had fun with it, though.

Yeah unlike Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat it's all about how many combos you can do which are really difficult to pull off sometimes.

  16. I'm excited that I'm already halfway done with my "Sharknado" Halloween costume!! :)

  17. Just bought a Super Retro Trio, it's pretty cool! For anyone who doesn't have a lot of space (or doesn't want all of that clutter) but still wants the NES/SNES/Genesis all hooked up and still play the original games it's not a bad way to go!

Oh! I've never heard of the Retro Freak, I had to look it up. It looks pretty cool! Interesting that they added the Turbo Graphx 16 on it!

  20. I usually end up spending a lot of time on Level 3 getting weapons and health and the fact that it's so huge makes that task a pain. Otherwise, it's not a difficult level. I think "rolling alien guys" is probably an accurate description. Oh yeah, almost forgot about the porcupines, those are really bad too! So yeah, that game is extremely tough for me and without save states I still can't beat it... but maybe someday I'll get lucky! lol
  21. Yeah, the dam level isn't too bad. The level after is just sooo long... with all of that driving around. The last two levels are the worst for me between the enemies that roll on the 2nd to last level that are impossible to kill and the jetpack troopers in the technodrome that are equally as difficult to kill. I'm not sure what the Shredder glitch is, but after getting past the "Tunnel of Death" Shredder was a piece of cake lol.
  22. Wow! Thank you so much for your in-depth response! I am motivated to try to beat it without save states now. On a side note, I REALLY HATE the jetpack troopers in the Technodrome.
  23. I've been playing the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the NES the past few days and was curious, has anyone ever beaten this game WITHOUT using an emulator for save states or a game genie??? The game is so ridiculously hard! It doesn't seem possible... The only time I ever beat the game I remember literally having to save the game every few seconds after I defeated each enemy just to have a chance in the final stage...
  24. Honestly, anything Atari related is underrated in my opinion nowadays, especially the Atari 2600. When I go into any retro game shop, I rarely see Atari games given the "love" that other systems have. What I mean by that is they aren't displayed like everything else. NES, SNES and Genesis games are almost always in a display case that's locked up. Atari 2600 games are usually scattered in some random container or box or shelf somewhere that aren't as visible or they don't even bother to carry the games at all. I remember walking into a store one time that had Atari games on the ground in a dirty beaten-up box. They were still all dusty and dirty, obviously the store owner didn't care to clean them up before they tried to sell them. Plus new "retro gamers" these days usually don't even bother with the Atari 2600, they usually start with the NES or later, which is a huge shame because the Atari 2600 has some really good games.
