Arcade ports from the 80's are usually easier than the actual arcade games. Emulating the game through MAME may be free, but many of the gameplay elements designed to take your quarter as fast as possible are still there. I'm not interested in investing the time it takes to get good at the arcade version, when I can get up to speed with a port in half the time.

CV HSC Season 11 Suggestions
sega_SHARK replied to Northcoastgamer's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
I liked last season's format. Games I'd like to see: Galaxian Frogger Tutankham Nova Blast -
OK, everyone should have received a PM asking for shirt size and address. Except for Mangia-Boy whom I can't PM.

Sweet! Now that we have final standings, I can submit them for t-shirt artwork. I'll send out an PM regarding shirts by the end of the week. Super Excited to get shirts printed! -

Opcode Prototypes Video Series - #1 : Mouser

I would LOVE to see Exerion! -
Read my signature I actually prefer the ColecoVision version of Tutankham over the arcade. The player death animation is faster, and the TURBO bats don't show up until level 9 on the CV. It's also better looking than the Vic 20 and INTV ports. Some forum members are fans of the 2600 version, but its so different than the arcade version, it's almost an unrelated game.

I always die on the 1st inverted volcano. I just skip it now with the bonus stage. Fly through through the mountain tunnel in stage 1. Then fly through the mountain tunnels in stage 4. Warp to the bonus round. No inverse volcano!

There is a way on the MSX to switch your ship to Twin Bee. I think you have to have a Twin Bee cart in the second slot on the MSX. I messed around with the keypad for about an hour trying to find easter eggs in this version. No luck yet.

I have an idea. I'm willing to print up 15 t-shirts for the top 15 players in the CV high score club. Top 15 will be determined at the end of the season. White Haynes pre-shrunk beefy T's. 100% cotton. Three color front. T-shirts will be SCREEN PRINTED, I'm not using that direct to garment process that so many web stores use. The shirts will say: "ColecoVision High Score Club Season 10" on the front. Picture the first screen of Donkey Kong with the girders. The girders will be printed in red, the High Score Club Season 10 text will sit on top of the girders, that will be in navy blue, probably in a Donkey Kong style font (the puffy letters with the stars in the "o's.") Light blue ladders behind the text. No "official" Coleco fonts or logos will be used. We could do a left sleeve print that says: "Not Endorsed By River West Brands" I will pay for shirts, I will pay to ship them out. They will not be for sale. Only the top 15 High Score Club Players will get them.

Probably fake. But it worked for me.

I don't have an Atari Joystick currently : ( So this is with a dpad. easy mode, 3 lives, auto shoot and auto power up. This seriously messed up my timing not playing through the MSX bone stage. I managed to loop the levels twice today. 1,813,100

I just hit all of the bonus rounds last night for the first time. It took me a while to get there though... The dinosaurs believe in you VS. : )

Coleco strong-arming homebrew publishers and fan sites

Good. : ) Why should we surrender creative control after we were kicked in the teeth with a DMCA and the Chameleon?
