  1. I would like any ideas for displaying my 5200 cartridges other than the sandwich bags they are in. I'm not really crazy about clamshells. With my other systems; Nintendo for example, I use the clear protectors one can find on ebay. It makes them look clean and sharp, however, I've not been able to find any to fit the 5200 carts. Does anyone have any good ideas?
  2. Received my vecmulti today totally awesome and works nicely. A must have and top notch Atari Age member! Great price and super fast shipping!
  3. I want to jump into lynx and I'm going to begin my research what is your number advice on getting a lynx?
  4. I wish I knew other Fairchild owners But I am the only one who I ever met who owns a Fairchild. However, I let people know at my local gameshop.
  5. Looking for a vectrex multicart any good ones out there? I would like on I can load or a cool menu. I'd rather not have switches. Anyone know where I can buy a good multi cart? Thanks,
  6. I just paid my preorder can't wait. I'd tell my friends to get one... Oh that's right I'm the only one in town who we know of who has a fairchild
  7. It was atari 5200 circa 1984 we got it used at years sale got dig dug, popeye, and pacman
  8. Like most people on this thread I don't think I would buy anything that's 10 years or older. I just recently picked up at Fairchild of which I traded for an Atari 2600. It was a good trade because the seller just wanted something to look good on his shelf. Things like my contra I will probably never give up yet they cost a fortune
  9. Here is my find at a local computer repair shop. They had it on a shelf as space filler after 3 years they tossed it in box in their storage room, . I convinced them to give it to me they said it was "Junk". Well I said one man's junk another man's treasure.I had to go dig it out from under a VCR and other crap They wanted to hand it to me for free, I said I would trade them a spare Atari 2600. They thought it was an awesome swap and so did I . The game #12 in the picture I picked it up from my local gameshop it was their only Fairchild They were happy to sell it since it has sat for years. item overall an awesome day. Barn finds still exist al be it its rare and I am jazzed I was able get the Fairchild and treat it with the respect it deserves.
  10. You may want to message the seller and see if they can look around for it if they're simply just an average every day person. You can describe it to them or send them a picture and maybe they can dig through their junk drawer, garage or wherever they may have it. If there one of these resellers they probably don't have it.
  11. I don't know about other people but in my experience I have only run across one Y cable by itself in the past 30 years. Unfortunately the seller knew what he had and wanted to charge an arm and a leg for it.
  12. So I picked up a 2600 Junior while at my local game shop somebody was trading it in with a bunch of Nintendo items. The clerk at the counter did not take the Atari because it did not have the power chord nor did it have the video cord to be tested. So when their transaction was done I asked the guy if you would sell it to me and he did for a couple of dollars. Turns out it works okay. I used my and television audiovideo cord which seems to work fine. I went to RadioShack today and bought a brand-new RCA to RCA a cord and it seems to have issues. Looks a little bit pixelated but the sound seems to work fine. The cord I bought is for RCA to RCA a audio and I was hoping that it would work the same. Any questions or thoughts
  13. Transaction perfect I bought some Intelevision overlays as well they got directly to me :-)
  14. I will also take into consideration shipping because I know this is a big item. I will also sure I pack this with extremely secure
  15. I picked up my first Jaguar about a year and a half ago for $100 I got the machine two controllers alien versus predator, Wolfenstein tempest 2000 and a couple of other throw away games. That is until yesterday when I picked up a sealed copy of Bubsy I also picked up a copy of brutal sports and Dino dudes but those two are unsealed all for the price of one of the games normally.
  16. I recently found an Atari 1010 and I had to rescue it. The thing is I do not have a use for it and I would like to trade it or sell it to someone who could use it.I am open for sale or trade, I am a 5200 fanboy so I'd be interested in most anything along those lines. I only have the unit not hookups or power cords. I cannot test it since I do not have an Atari Computer. I am also not sure of the voltage if you know and I have an adaptor I can test to ensure that it receives power. There are no cracks, yellowing or marks. I would like to see this go to another collector rather than just trading it to a reseller. PM me If your interested.
  17. I would have liked to seen updated Star Raiders Or perhaps start flight would've been nice too
  18. I will be drinking beer and playing Popeye and Star raiders tonight. :-)
  19. I just got the stick to work on my 2-port :-). I followed the instructions thanks, now there appears to be trouble in paradise with my 4-port but that's another issue. Thank you :-)
  20. So I bought a wico stick. It turns out that my machine does not register turning right, and after little while no longer registering down or right now. Does anyone know what's happening to my 5200? I take good care of these machines so I know it's not a matter of me dropping it. Or a power surge sensor usually on a search protector when I use them. Also I do not have them hooked up when I'm not using them.
  21. Thank you I cracked it open I wonder if I'm having problems with my machine because when I try my other controllers doesn't seem to register moving right. I wonder if there's a problem with the machine and with the wico. Maybe my machine can't register right and the controller cannot register down things are getting really funky
