So I just scored a Wico controllerwith the Y adapter, however the Wico control does not seem to go down itgoes left right up and the fire button works beautifully, but down seems to be a problem. Does anyone know what might be going on? I rather not crack it open unless I have to Thanks,

Atari 5200 Megamania proto found in the wild!

What a cool find! :-) Congratulations -
Find of the year! Pictures of both 5200 cases together!
Atari the Jedi replied to Atari the Jedi's topic in Atari 5200
Thank you very much, I've always loved my 5200s and now I get the really take care of them nicely more than just a cardboard box. I'm just a lucky bum who happened to stumble upon these, actually my friend did. What I like about it is it's still very once in a while maybe every year so, you can come across an amazing deal. In a world where everything gaming is overpriced it is nice to find stuff out in the wild. -
I got both Atari 5200 cases now! Of course I bit the bullet on buying them both it cost me more than I'd like to admit. I never saw one in person, After,I got one and was able to buy the other and here they are now housing my machines. The pleather 5200 cover I got off eBay couple years ago. I can't believe that these cases were just sitting there waiting for me. The cases are in good shape and foam is still great. In aworld where anything gaming is outrageously priced and or out of reach I am more than happy I pulled the trigger.

Atari 5200 lot. Straight from the hardshell case.
Atari the Jedi replied to Atari the Jedi's topic in Auction Central
Oh snap me try fixing that Here is the item number. 331221327665 I am on my phone right now so I don't think it'll work if I simply copy the link But here's it is. http://m.ebay.com/itm/331221327665?nav=SEARCH -
I recently bought a hardshell Atari 5200 case, the only way I could buy the case was I also had to buy the machine with it. So I bit the bullet and bought everything but to recoup some of the money that I had to spend I need to sell the machine. This is the actual machine that was in the hard case for well over two decades. You can see with the metal band that has no major dings scratches rust etc. Again this machine was a Sleeper for many many years and looks excellent Here is the link. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=33122132766

I would be interested, how much do you think the shipping might be? Thanks :-)

So I could not let it go! A couple of weeks ago I got a 5200 hard shell case from my friend who got two shells. One had a 4-port machine in it. Tonight I picked up the 4-port machine and the second case, I had to buy the system in order to get the case he said. There was no way I could pass on buying the case. The case is in awesome condition with foam and everything. The thing is now I have to sell the machine that case came with. My wife will shoot me if I tell her I got another 5200. It is in excellent condition as it has been in the case since the 80's the metal band no scratches or anything even the power/signal box has the tape on the back. I'm thinking of listing it on eBay minus the shell of course. So I can try and recoupe some of the money I spent. My thought is would it be worth it to tell the story behind the machine? Being stored for the past 30 some years in a case and looks relatively new or should I just list it? the stick with it is perfect too. Thoughts? Thanks,

Some Help With My New Gameshark Pro 3.3 For N64?
Atari the Jedi replied to Bowser N64's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I just bought a game shark and I had trouble with it. I was trying Zelda. So the only other generic game that I had was Star Wars pod racers. That seem to do the trick. I am happy because I bought the game shark while I was out of town and could not tested at that game shop. -
I got my first 2'-port at a yard sale circa 1985-ish at yard sale got my 4-port off eBay with a ton of games 2011. 2-port S.N. 287114 4-port S.N. 0555224 The 4-port says SV-01 the 2-port also says Sears discontinued sticker.

Not ONE but TWO 5200 carrying cases found Wow!
Atari the Jedi replied to Atari the Jedi's topic in Atari 5200
I bought the empty case for a fair price. :-) no shipping which is nice gonna see about the other one -
So I got a Zaxxon cart from my friend who got it with some system stuff. I was distracted with the carrying cases. But I don't have a copy Zaxxon yet and it would nearly complete my collection. The game appears to have missing graphics and garbled sound. I cleaned it but it still has trouble. Should I make an offer ? I am tring to get some other things first but I have not seen a Zaxxon in the wild before. Cool to find. :-)

Atari the Jedi replied to Atari the Jedi's topic in Atari 5200
Should I try to buy the machine that's in it. It only appears to be a four port with one controller. Though the machine is obviously in good condition it didn't seem like anything special. Already have case to port and a four port -

What should I offer him for the cases. I really don't need another system although the one in the case is really nice? i saw one on eBay and it indigo for about $50 but I bet they were shipping costs were pretty high. I thought about offering $20 apiece for the cases that seems fair to me -
So A buddy of mine came across two 5200 cases one complete with near mint 4-port complete with great working controller. He picked them up because he knows I am a 5200 fan boy. He called me because he said he picked up some 5200 games so I go visit him. After I crapped my pants, He let me take the empty one home and said we could settle up later. I knew they were rare but IDK they were pricey. I would take care of the items but he asked me to price it and tell him. I know he will want near full price once I tell him. Of course I am honest and will not lie to him but there's no way I have an extra $50 or so right now wife would shoot me in the face :0. Nice find, just wish it was mine being a collector and hunting down the bargains is hard these days, what should I do?

One looks a little warble just a hair. Warbling? kind of shakes a little. When I turn the brightness up on the one you can see the vector lines and the other one you can't see any. I thought about taking a dust can and blowing out the dust I'm pretty sure is inside the machine that I will buy. Any other tips I need tips I'm going to spend good money on this I want to make sure I get the better of the two Thanks everyone :-). How do I take care and maintain a 30-year-old TV set? I'm assuming I turn it on occasionally and pot necessarily turn on and blast the speaker. Both of them have a small hum But one is a little bit more pronounced
