  1. Thanks. I know it's an abstract.  I played with the Smear effect.  Looked to me like buildings getting buzzsawed.  Kind of a statement on urban decay.  So, Detroit Falls became its title.  Love Detroit, but it has gone through some rough times in the past 25 years or so.  Some place are seeing revitalization.  That's the positive news.

  2. All is public info.  Nothing disclosed that a 10 year old cannot find, but I understand your sentiments.  Anywho, I found some email addresses and just emailed him.  He indeed may just be taking a break.  But I let him know we care and just want he and his the best.  DBM.

There's been threads in the past, trying to figure out the name of the tune, who wrote it, etc.  I think it's still a mystery.  Also, it's a great tune.  I'll never forget it - I can't tell you how many times I heard it playing States & Capitals.

It is a catchy tune. Never "tuned" into it until today.  Love it.  This kind of stuff keeps me an Atarian.

  4. All this recent talk of Cassette Recorders and S & C program made me load my original program cassette today.  I never thought about it until today (played it hundreds of times), but the opening audio soundtrack has a disco tune playing in the background while the data loads.  It sounds like a typical disco tune you'd hear in a 70s-era TV show like ChiPS or Dallas.  Funny stuff.  It appropriately captures the timeframe this program was created.  Mirror balls, lite dance floors and John Travolta.  I think Atari used that same track for other tape programs (those with separate audio and data tracks), or one similar to it.

  5. Thanks.  Yes, the connector (barrel) is breaking down, intermittent within the molded strain relief.  I've cut strain reliefs open before and tried to solder the weaken strands of wire, but would just like to cut the old barrel plug off, and splice/solder and new one on.  Then again, 9VAC PSU are plenty plentiful.  Used to have a plethora of unused old cell phone adapters laying about, but alas, I must have dumped them in a spring cleaning.
