Just spent 4 hours trying to get a Friesian stallion out of a ditch. Was touch and go for a while. Needed two sets of fire crew, including a specialist animal rescue team an hour away, plus additional 'helping hands' to eventually secure him, drag him out and force him to get back on his feet. Looks like he'll be okay now, though.

  I just help out at the yard. I take him out to his field most mornings. People in the horse world seem to think that stallions, especially Friesian stallions, are dangerous. In fact, his breeders kept him locked up in a stable with iron bars and beat the shit out of him to get him to do things. His current owner, who is a relative novice, was warned that he'd kill her.
