That bloody hospital has fucked up once too often. Two year-old Grandaughter had to take a 2 hour trip to a children's hospital after trapping her finger in a door. The local hospital said that she needed to get there between 9 and 9.30 am. So that's what happened - only to be told that she needed to be there by 8am because it was the weekend and all the surgeons had gone home!! Now we need to be there by 8am on Monday morning to get in first.

A few years ago, my brother suffered a slipped disc. Couldn't stand up or walk without searing pain. They had to fuse two of his vertebrae. The wait time to get the surgery was four months, while he lay in bed on workers compensation. Maybe with the US system, he might intended up broke, but I doubt he would have waited that long.

Yep, 4 years ago my kid needed hand surgery. Our PPO Insurance allowed us to pick and choose nearly any surgeon in the nation and after much research we chose who we thought was the best pediatric hand surgeon on the East Coast. Thx to Obamacare passive agressive regulations creating a hostile environment for such "cadillac" plans (deemed too generous), let's just say that PPO plan is gone after over a decade of having it. Thankfully we got that surgery when we did. Thanks Obama.
