A young player comes on for his debut for Manchester United. Within 2-3 minutes, his Wikipedia page had been updated to show this.

England 20 Latvia 0 - Not rugby, women's football. Spain have scored 43 times in 5 games without conceding a goal. The gulf in class between teams in the women's game is incredible.

Norway also beat Armenia on the road 10-0 after a fog break yesterday.
Usually that is a sign of a small sport when a few teams win over the rest 15-0 and only when the top 2-3 teams meet there are even games. I'm not sure if it builds the sport.
OTOH England defeat San Marino 10-0 on the men's side just the other week. We all know that San Marino consists of amateur players and is in the bottom rankings so perhaps the same can be said about the differences in women's football. The only anomalies I have spotted is how the Balkan countries tend to under perform - i.e. Croatia, Serbia, even Bosnia would be expected to do better in women's football given how good they are on the men's side but perhaps that will come over time.

Babysitting grandkids today. The two oldest were a nightmare. So much so that daughter asked: "Have we got any bleach? ... Kids, do you want a drink?"

Trust a storm with a Welsh name to cause so much havoc. Electricity's been out since 11am and doesn't look like it'll be up until 8pm tomorrow.

I have come to the conclusion that women are cows. They have at least two stomachs. One for their main meals and the other for pudding. No matter how full they are, there's always room for pudding.

I had some bad experiences with employers 30 years ago that completely put me off working for others. The company I've joined, though, are completely different. They've just given all employees an extra 2 days off for Christmas. They've also announced the winners of the annual employee awards, with winners getting all expenses paid trips to the US.

@GoldLeader ? It's IT or some kind of tech. ? I work for a large plant hire company that does most of its business in the US. They have their own in-house software development teams.

Wow! That was underhanded. Fuck Paramount.

Fun Fact: The Welsh national anthem owes its existence to the United States.

I never remember trailers for very long, but the one I do was for a 2002 movie. We all thought it was for a new Batman movie. Really clever. ?

Someone had an amazing find in the UK. An unused Atari STE Discovery Pack in his grandparents' attic. It was still in giftwrap. He or his parents had no idea why it was never gifted. I want, but wife would slaughter me like a pig.

Starfleet built a ship of exploration but named it after a series of warships. Nothing says "we come in peace ... but ..." more than that.

Wow! You really find things out later in life. My great Aunt passed away today at 93. I only saw her about 4 times in the previous 40 years but up until the age of 9, I lived not far from her so I would regularly visit. She'd mention that she looked after me when I was a baby. I posted a photo she gave me of me with my grandad outside her house on FB a few weeks ago and another aunt mentioned that I lived there for about 3 months. First time I'd heard of it. Now, my mother's just told me that the pair of us lived there for a couple of months after she gave us a place to stay when my grandmother refused to do so. My mother was pregnant at 15 and had just turned 16 when she had me and, like she said, it was "worse than murder" back then. She and my dad got married a couple of months after I was born.

Brad raises his prices on low-stock items. Found out that he isn't the only one. Large retail chains do too.

Ugh! Awake at 5am because I went to bed too early.

@Tickled_Pink I was looking through my books on the lead you gave on him being in a bed. Are these either one bro?
-
@fdurso224 The Abu Dhabi one's the one. ? Bottom one's not showing up. The top one's one I've seen as well. Not sure what it was. All I know is that the book either had a green cover or a red one. ?
-
Excellent. Glad the Aby Dhabi is to your liking and the one you were looking for. Now as the exercise that's not showing up.
How about now bro. He's in a bed from what was mentioned. Here's the link.

Take a bow, and the trophy and $1.8million home, Emma Raducanu. Kind of makes her A-levels useless, though.

Best online comment found this morning: I wonder if anyone ever chokes on food in the Imperial cafeteria and Vader has to say "That's not me."

When I saw it, I thought, "aren't you going to look stupid?" If you're going to make a point, make it AFTER the deal's been done. Burning your old Ronaldo shirt because of rumours he was moving to City. Dear oh dear. Too funny.

I can't see it happening. PSG might want Haaland but first, they have to be clear that Dortmund are willing to sell before they let Mbappe go. And if Real had any sense, they'd be signing Haaland themselves for that kind of money. Not only that, but I don't think Real are as good a team as PSG at the moment, so it would be a sideways step at best. If he does go and PSG haven't pushed him out the door to make way for Haaland, he would have been badly advised.

Who's going to have the heart to tell him that buying Atari tokens is not the same as buying Atari? ?♂️

The lunatics have taken over Edinburgh Castle, citing Article 61 of the Magna Carta and its alleged "legal rebellion" clause. Just one problem. Article 61 is no longer valid and hasn't been since 1216. It also had no "legal rebellion" clause and it only applied to 25 barons elected by other barons. Lesson: be careful what bullshit you choose to believe on social media.

New job's currently a bit of a shit-show but hopefully it'll sort itself out.

@jd_1138 Software development for an American-owned plant hire company. They had to start me the week that the one guy who can provide admin privileges for the repositories is on holiday, didn't they?

Starting new job on Monday. Starting with some MS Teams meetings in the morning before heading off on a 4 hour round trip to pick up some equipment. Principally a laptop and apparently two monitors. I think I'm going to need a bigger desk.
