Payment sent. Now, for the hard part- waiting.

I'm considering getting one of these, as well. Is the difference between this and the Vision-dapter just support for the oddball devices such as the synth keyboard? Does the Vision-dapter work as well? I'm just wondering since I doubt I will be hooking up something besides a controller, so the half priced option is looking better for me.

I had a Tomy Atomic Pinball when I was a kid. I was just talking with my brother a few days ago about all the great Tomy toys we grew up with! I was thinking I wouldn't mind getting a nice Atomic Pinball again, but I don't know where I'd put it.

Does anyone know if any homebrews have similar elements which only come into play at levels three and four?
-
Uh oh. What have I started?
A blessing and a curse: great video game related display items I can enjoy hunting and haggling for, but also something else to chomp on my coinage like Pacman.

Thank you for all the great stuff! The trading cards are a nice touch! I have a compete and minty set minus two of the oddball scratch-offs which I believe aren't technically part of the set. I'm tempted to open the pack you sent to see if the fates have sent them my way...

Shockingly awesome. You have given me hope I will be able to display my collections some day instead of keeping them hidden away in bags and boxes.
Also, I now have a new item I want to collect: marquees!

Nice score! I need to work on a strategy for Space Panic, as I am new to that game. I did, however beat my Tapper score again (423,775). I think I could have gotten an even better score, but it was a long game- I was almost late to work. I'm glad you decided to participate. Having to learn new strategies is part of the fun of playing on skill three.
I also heard something intriguing recently, and I wonder if anyone can confirm it. Apparently, cv arcade ports have game play elements or features which are only included on higher difficulty settings. I've got a stack of games to "research!"

I find many Colecovision games maintain a good balance of difficulty and fun when played at skill level three. I wanted a place to challenge others and to be challenged at level three- no time frame, post whatever game you wish, whenever. If you have a game you are adept at and want to see how you match up against others, let this thread be an informal place to throw down the gauntlet. Post your high score pictures and let the challenge begin!

I just tried cleaning it. There was hardly anything on the contacts to clean off. No resurrection yet, which is unfortunate. The cartridge is in excellent condition.

So, I have started testing some of these games. I have a couple questions. My Space Fury cart just makes a dissonant chord when I power on the cv. I'm going to try cleaning the contacts, but I was wondering if there are any other tricks to try or if this is a symptom of cart death. My next question- why have I never heard Subroc on the hardest setting is incredibly fun?!

Then you may want to pick up a second job or have your credit card company raise your limit!

You should refer to NIAD's rarity list for the most "difficult" titles to obtain, but the quick run down for Original US releases (not including homebrew) is:
Aquattack (Currently available at Atari2600.Com for 279.95)
Motocross Racer (XONOX version)
Sammy Lightfoot
Sector Alpha
Slurpy
Super Sketch - Sketch Master
Tomarc the Barbarian
Tournament Tennis (Imagic)
Wizmath, The Wizard of Id's
Word Feud
Those 10 titles alone would cost you roughly $3500. That's assuming they are all CIB and in good shape.
NIAD Disclaimer:
Estimate is from my observations only.....actual costs may run you higher or lower depending on condition and demand for any particular title at the time of purchase. Game rarity was listed in alphabetical order and does not imply that Aquattack is more difficult to obtain than Word Feud (even tho Word Feud is more difficult to obtain
). These are simply your top 10.I have those games cib and near mint minus Aquattack, Super Sketch, Sammy Lightfoot, and Tennis.

The links provided worked for me but the follow-up pic makes things a lot easier. That's another great pick-up that you made there, but this time around you have acquired a bunch of the more common and therefore easier games to be had in CIB form. From what I can tell of the condition of each box (they look very good) and assuming they include the overlays where appropriate, manuals and a decent condition cart and label, I would estimate the retail value of this lot at $280-$300.
Now aren't you glad you didn't flip all those other ColecoVision CIBs!
I probably should have tried to talk you into selling them so that I could have had a chance to acquire the handful that I need, but I don't roll that way. Thanks for the info yet again! I always appreciate your CV insights and information. I am extremely happy I stuck with my original plans of keeping everything. Getting these great items today helped me realize I wouldn't mind going for a complete set. It is my most complete collection out of all the consoles I have (and the most quickly acquired in only about seven months). I am getting hooked on CV quickly- it's the only system I have bought homebrews for, but I think I need to take a break from purchasing those for now. What are the hardest to find cv games?

I went browsing on a whim today and found more great stuff than I expected to. I would appreciate any thoughts, opinions, or value estimates anyone would care to share. My cib CV collection is getting stronger by leaps and bounds!

Official Super Game Module thread (thoughts & reviews about SGM and games)
in Opcode Games

Maybe it's the collector side of me, maybe it's the ocd, or perhaps it's a bit of both- I'm wondering if anyone can produce a custom and snug fitting clear plastic case for the sgm box like the ones you can get for cib games. I want to keep the excellent piece of art which is the sgm packaging in mint condition so I can look upon it for many years in all it's glory. When I have a nice minty item, getting slight scratches, nicks, or even dents only noticeable under certain lighting conditions really bums me out. I know, I'm crazy.
