  1. If you have not played Konami's Ping-Pong, you should check it out. I realize it is table tennis, but it's a very addicting game with well programmed difficulty levels and excellent controls. I got Pixelboy's Colecovision homebrew version, and I am very impressed.
  2. Playstation Chrono Trigger - 210 minutes Colecovision Pac-man Collection - 10 minutes NES Super C - 20 minutes Gunsmoke - 20 minutes
  3. Intellivision Ice Trek - 15 minutes NES Crisis Force - 8 minutes Guardian Legend - 10 minutes Gunsmoke - 10 minutes Summer Carnival 92 - Recca - 20 minutes Zombie Nation - 15 minutes Tetris - 30 minutes Tengen Tetris - 25 minutes Playstation Chrono Trigger - 30 minutes Very little time for retro gaming this week, as life has been getting a bit too serious for my taste lately. I've been so busy, I even bowed out of the Intellivision Knockout Tournament, which was unfortunate. After that, I decided to play some NES! Sleep was traded to make sure at least some games were played. It's important to have one's priorities straight, after all. Anyway, back to being a cog in a big machine. Bye for now.
  4. 11,220 I haven't had as much time as I would like with this game, but that's how it always feels lately. Here is my score after a couple play sessions.
  5. I am envious. Today is my day off, and I would gladly spend it playing Smash TV or some other great games, but I know of no retro arcade around Indianapolis.. Very few flea markets or game stores are around as well. Oh well. Play a round for me.
  6. You've inspired me on my day off to finally post my pictures and unboxing video of my one of a kind Christmas Carol Elf-Knight Edition!
  7. Colecovision Pac-man Collection - 60 minutes Centipede - 30 minutes Cix - 15 minutes Mouse Trap - 30 minutes Galaxian - 25 minutes Intellivision Ice Trek - 25 minutes
  8. It's my own fault. I was distracted by a slew of other games and did not submit a new score.
  9. No worries. It will take some practice, and I have so many games I'm playing right now. You are doing really well. Keep jumping those barrels and dodging those springs!
  10. I don't own any PAL equipment, only NTSC.
  11. I need to revisit this game soon. I'm sure I can break 300,000.
  12. Colecovision Cix - 80 minutes Galaxian - 120 minutes Bankruptcy Builder - 80 minutes Pac-man Collection - 60 minutes Mouse Trap - 25 minutes I have been recklessly addicted to Colecovision lately. It's a good thing I've got a tuned up Yurkievision which can handle all the playing time!
  13. I bought Cix and Bankruptcy Builder. I have to say these two games are blowing my mind. I agree with a couple of your sentiments about additions to the game, but the most important one to me is being able to reset the game with the controller like I can with Galaxian, since Cix can be risky and fast paced depending on your playing style. Either way, I am quite pleased and impressed with the games. I really need to check out more games by this author. When I saw videos of the Crown Jewels games, I didn't think they looked like my kind of games, but I'm so impressed with the two I did get I might have to reconsider. What other games has this guy made? Schlange and Shunting Puzzle are on my list of possible pickups. I can't seem to find a Shunting Puzzle video.
  14. Name ideas: Dictator Super Pro Colonies Empire of Peace (an ironic name akin to the original "Utopia") Sands of Chaos Diplomacy Isolation Vitriolic Vacation Paradise and Desolation Peaceful Demise The Art of Leadership Chaos Cove Tyrannical Relations Sun Tzu's Sandbox Pride and Prestige Elemental Order
  15. Yeah the pirates could get more dangerous as levels or difficulties progress. Maybe your army could even be sent on risky, but profitable raids to the secret pirate island, only accessible by obtaining information, map pieces found in random treasure drops on farmland, or from taking prisoners to an upgraded fort.
  16. I agree with cmart. Utopia was a favorite of mine when I was younger. I played many hours of it. One thing I would love to see would be an active computer opponent with different difficulty settings. Maybe each boat and building could be upgraded, so instead of building a bunch of the same thing to achieve a desired outcome, you could upgrade things for a higher cost. I think upgrading would also extend game play since the islands wouldn't get crowded as quickly. It would also hurt more when an upgraded building gets hit by weather or rebels, which would be utilized in higher difficulties.. Which brings me to my next suggestion. I wonder if it's possible to have roaming rebels and instead of weather and rebels flat out destroying things instantly, perhaps they could damage things. This would create the need for the ability to repair things. Also, it could be fun to have durability upgrades like weather proofing or anti rebel defenses such as barbed wire fences or land mines! I have so many ideas about Utopia sequels, because it is such a great game.
  17. 18. I think the person in the video above did not set up their emulator properly.
  19. Alright, I decided to try the low-score challenge. Here is my first attempt.
  20. I'm definitely enjoying the long term statistics. Thanks for all the work! It looks like I need to get going on some more Colecovision and NES! My two favorite consoles need to climb the list.
