Thanks for sharing - I was trying to find the Victorian house with the coleco sign on it but no luck. I guess that will be another excuse to stop again at some point down the road! I hope they do something with these old factory buildings, I know that things don't get made in america anymore (sad) but hopefully the area and buildings can be revived into something great again (preserving the coleco sign of course)

Greetings! I don't live that far away from Amsterdam, NY where the headquarters for coleco was and I have been meaning to stop there to take a few pictures. The factory buildings and the area in general is definitely on a decline - its sad but I think its part of video game history and interesting to 'fanboys' like myself. I was in the area and this time snapped a few pictures! It would be cool to find original pictures taken from the 80's in the same spot for comparison. This building I believe was the main office/administration building. It apparently has some history to it and has a cool clock tower on it. I believe it got converted to condos. This building is the corner to a series of factories that I assume was where the action happened. I'm not sure what its used for now but its certainly seen better days, you can see a garage in the foreground that is currently an auto repair shop. This building was across the street from the office/admin building - not sure if this was part of coleco or not. Its an interesting creepshow nonetheless. Got closer to the coleco sign in all its faded glory. This is to the right of the coleco sign where you can see what appears to be a series of interconnected factory buildings - which I didn't really 'explore'. There was some random guys with drinks covered in paper bags walking around which I don't think were really amused by me taking pictures around their hang out. Hope you find these interesting!

It might remind people of Missile Command but the action is slower and spread over six screens which represent different areas of the U.S.A. Enemy missiles, planes, and subs will attack and you must direct your own forces, which include missiles, planes, subs, and satellites, to intercept them. Each type of defense has strengths and weaknesses (missiles are fast but limited in range, planes are slower but have unlimited range). Satellites are a better all-around defense but are only available every so often. Some weapons aren't available in certain areas, and some enemies are resistant to certain weapons, so you must alter your strategy accordingly. Yeah I know this is a bit odd but I had to do it to see what you all can do! Now that we have all practiced skill 1 (some mastering it!) - I thought it would be pretty interesting to bump up the skill level to 3 and I'm too impatient to wait till another season! Lets see some more high scores!

ROUND 4 - SEASON 9 As Popeye, you are trying to win Olive Oyl's love! She is at the top of the screen dropping tokens of her love, and you need to collect them before they hit the ground. After you have collected the required number of items, you can move on to the next, more difficult level. There are many obstacles trying to stop you from completing your task, though! Brutus wanders around the screen and is constantly trying to catch you. If you collect a can of spinach, you can temporarily knock him out, otherwise Brutus will knock you out. Other objects such as bottles or birds are also flying around the screen and will cause you to lose one of your lives if you are hit. Each level features a different layout of platforms and ladders, and will have you collecting different items as they float towards the bottom of the screen! Yeah I understand Tapper can be exploited but in my book that would be against the rules. Since we are all on the honor system here and we are not requiring video recording - I think playing fair is something that we can all agree on. I would say it would be acceptable to maximize points in the later levels if you choose but the risk has to be there. If you progress though the levels like your supposed to it does ramp up - at least the last time I played it - I felt like it did - here is a recording I did of a 300,000 score and I think my pace is acceptable. I did think about excluding this one or starting at a higher skill level but in my opinion its too good of a game to exclude! I think it was on my top list and also someone elses. If you think your score may be in question, it might be helpful to let us know how many screens you got to or take a snapshot of it (all optional of course). The only games I'd really like to stay away from is those that can be played straight up and marathoned. Tapper does ramp up eventually - so if you can marathon it without cheating, you deserve the 100 points!
