  1. My TI came to life cosmetically using Predge Multi Surface. http://www.pledge.com/en-US/Products/Pages/multi-surface-everyday-cleaner-natural.aspx I will admit that I am biased, being from Racine, WI.
  2. I had a TI-99/4A and a Kaypro in my childhood. I had the Kaypro in the 90's that I bought for 5 bucks to replace my IBM XT. Yes, I was always behind the times. Oh well.
  3. I can't help to notice the AARP commercial on the TV in Kevan's den. I'm just taking notice.
  4. I think some are doing this by getting from SCSI to CF card.
  5. I added a few to mine even though I have not really done anything.

  9. I bet that there are some that are compatable with RS232.
  10. TI-Sissy, I believe the F18A supports a 512 color palette. Much more colors than stock. I could be wrong. That is what I gathered from Matt's website. http://codehackcreate.com/archives/30
  11. Does HDX use something that normal RS232 Serial ports do not support? Why is a hack needed?
  12. I wonder if the 512K ones will surface? The fact that it has an AVR intrigues me..
  13. If I was a betting man, I bet he used the remote jack portion. I am guessing that toggling a relay or transistor is not worth screwing around with the audio.
  14. I use xubuntu. On my Windows desktop at work I just right click files and choose "Open With" or something like that.
  15. Something like this might be cool to have on this forum... http://www.bbcboards.net/champion-boats/53838-lets-see-some-champion-boat-pics-700-pixels-wide-less-please.html
  16. I am sure that you can cannibalize one from something.
  17. Rich, Just open them with any text editor.. Notepad or even Wordpad if you have windows. They are text files with an asm extension. Just like xml is a text file. No need to give it a different extension.
  18. Quick question idea related to the sound idea.. Could the tape deck port be used to send sounds to some sort of D/A convertor and control things? That analog protocol is already defined. He would just have to know what the protocol is in order to decode it.
  19. Good point. Common interests. I was thinking monkey see monkey do.. oops I kind of forget that we are talking about a little group of people here.
  20. I would like to think that most people buy something because they want it and not because they want to feel part of something like sheeple.
