Best Atari ST Paint Program(s)?
fedepede04 replied to OldSchoolRetroGamer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
exxosuk is right. there was a Deluxe Paint for the ST. but it was not in any way as good as the Amiga version, as i recall (maybe i remember wrong) it was very unstable. then you have Degas Elite, but i also think that program is bad and very annoying to use. Neochrome is only low resolutions, and also pretty bad. many talk about that crack-art should be one of the best for the ST, but i have never try it, so i can't personally say any thing about it. I have not found any drawing program for the ST, that fit my needs, the reason for why i made a ST drawing program for windows -
to save you some trouble looking for it. here is what i have but it is unsorted pretty messy, but there should both be a floppy version and a HD-version, please let me know when you have download it, so i can remove the link. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3083462/Music%20Studio.rar

ST game reviewers wanted for the new issue of ST Gamer
fedepede04 replied to Greyfox's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Hi Darren. sorry but my English is way to bad, for I dare to make a review, so I'll just have to settle buying it plus i really don't have any time at the moment, i am in the beginning of a big project for the ST, so maybe if you make a 3 issue i have something to show for your magazine. then do you think that 2 issue will be release? Best Regards Peter -

nice front cover for the new mag -
yes it is newer, i have removed 2 very small bugs, but nothing that matters when using it on a emulator, the reason why i not have released it is, I have waited for it to be tested. it is not only my computer spaces that have been reduced, i used to have my own office, where i had all my stuff, but then we got Maria, so new all my music-keyboards are under my bed, in the closets, but i think that it could be worse, i still have two desktop computer and my digital piano my xbox 360 and my sega mega drive, in the living room. but it is a continuous struggle to keep it

you are right, it is probably age, and also please remember, do not let a surgeon have to much fun inside of you, it is also a bad idea . and i also know the wife thing every day my space is getting smaller and smaller . another thing i can see it is the first version that is uploaded here, maybe i should try to get the latest upload later today.

Hi Steve thx again friend YMT is on hold right now need to have something tested on real hardware first. so right now i am working on my drawing program, one of my friends found an error in it, and i have decided to expand a feature so it can save the clip as sprites. the altering of clip routine should have taken max a week to do, but it has taken a couple of months now. i have also started on a interface for a new program, can't say more about it here, will tell you later but all is moving so slow at the moment, i just can't seem to find the energy for it.

YMTPLAY.rar Hi all now that it is Christmas and other have give things to the community, i thought that i all will add to that, so i been fighting to get this little program finish. i have add mouse control to make it easier to control, but that was not so simple and meant that i had to redo big parts of the program. so there can very well be some bugs in it, i have not tested it on real hardware, mine is stash away. it should works under STeem. know bug, if switching to Drive A/B and there is no disk in, the program will come with a standard dialogue box and hang. THX to the people that help me tested earlier versions of the program to see the program in action a little info about the program. YMT files are like the YM/AY files. Music files where you sampled data from the sound chip register (YM2149/AY8910) in a certain interval, instead of having a dedicate player. up to now (to my knowledge), there have only been YM/AY player that could play tune/score files, that was sampled at 50HZ, but the YMT player can play files up to 300hz (there are some 50hz+ tunes/scores include in the examples) the advantaged of AY/YM/YMT format, is that to replay these tunes/scores cost very little CPU power, so if you need a lot power for a eg. a 3D demo, when it could be a wise choice to use it, because it leaves most of the CPU power for 3D calculations and the graphic etc. and the disadvantaged is that it use a lot of memory, and also that it is nearly impossible to make a routine that can capture and use the SID sound and Samples etc. it is also why those files need to be hand made, that is the reason why YMT-Player only support pure YM2149 sound. Merry Christmas all and may 2015 be a good Atari year Peter (this post was copy from Atari-Forum.com)

if your disk is also very dirty, then the dirt and dust, will be transferred onto your cleansed floppy-drive and make it dirty again. try clean your floppy-drive again using your cleaning set, and maybe consider to clean your disks, or buy some new one. -
i am with you on this one. just pop a disk in the Atari and you where up and running. The Amiga OS was to slow and heavy.
