  1. That's not really a bug as such ... well it IS ... but we knew about it. It's a bit like when you get a rope, there's always another rope there ... useless after the rope has been tied ... but its there.
  2. IIRC you can use the 1st letter of a word for directions , for example "U" .... for up .... just make sure that pesky spider really HAS gone away first
  3. JS99er runs REALLY good on an Acer Chromebook. It's about the closest I've seen to real hardware as in, no glitches or lag on sound ... however - on every other computer, ie, windows OR linux, it can have issues both on Firefox (sounds like its underwater) and chrome (the sound is there but it comes half a second too late) ..... try a chromebook
  4. Just tried it now on Parsec ... it's working beautifully on the keys now.
  5. Hello there. This URL to click, will send you to evil-bay, and there's vintage recorders on here ... bare in mind they will need the MIC and EAR sockets but im sure most will have them - back when I had my TI-99 as a kid, we didn't have a Texas recorder it was a Realistic one, im certain .... they should work. There are some here for 20 pounds. There will be shipping costs involved but .... good luck! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xcassette+recorder.TRS0&_nkw=cassette+recorder&_sacat=0
  6. Hi Rasmus I've spotted an issue , you're probably already aware of, JS99er doesn't seem to be behaving very well with the EXSD keys during gameplay - the arrow keys for the laptop do the joysticks just fine but TI arrow keys are not working right. This only affects me if the game im playing doesnt have joystick support. It seems to lag?
  7. Would you consider using a Linux computer or Apple just to get away from all this? .... I am. I'm considering dual-booting my Acer Touchscreen with a Linux distro once it's warranty is run out.
  8. There's a little web thing that lets you program a TI extended basic game or whatever, and output it as a file - it even lets you hear the tape sound it would make, presumably so you can record a proper actual cassette of your program. URL http://nivelleringslikaren.eu/ti994a_basic/ Now, most of my programming is done with Classic99 , however, for the times when I have my Chromebook on me that can't run any desktop apps, I can use JS99er (which runs flawlessly on chromebook) along with the web page from niverlliringslikaren and rename the PROGRAM.BIN to just say PROGRAM,(example name) it will then work with JS99er when you route to it through the disk load options ... AND Classic99 uses the same file-type too. Win-Win. Pretty nifty stuff. I think it's truly awesome that we have these choices. Thanks to all involved with all of them!
  9. I too have noticed Classic99 having hiccups running under Windows 10! Munchman - he died, and he paused halfway through dying - he was halfway into the floor and he just stopped ... so did all the monsters too! This lasted about 3 seconds. There are also other speed issues with various games. When I did this sound test; 10 FOR L=110 TO 220 20 CALL SOUND(-L,L,0) 30 NEXT L That should produce a smooth upscale sound - it didn't! It DOES in JS99er though, on my Acer Chromebook. So yeah Windows 10 is a complete bag of balls - ALSO - have you noticed under certain emulators, when we go to load a file, the bloody cloud option thing comes up?
  10. #8 ..... It was almost a Milton Bradley games console Am I right with that?
  11. Woah .... this is good! Sure beats the hell outta "Butt-Plug" Well done sir ... and happy new year to you and everyone on here.
  12. There was a windows / linux command line tool bundled with a Linux TI emulator, Convert CTG , iirc , that may or may not work as it's unreliable on the whole. I tried all this and needed ctg files at the time and it was a pain in the ass.
  13. Hi Tursi, is the site down? I went on there past two days it's been "internal error" .
  14. Hi! .... Sorry I didn't respond more .... just to ask, the santa freezing / timing thing .... is that the same freeze that sometimes happens with some of my TI Basic games, every now and then the text will stop scrolling for about half a second or so and then carry on. Or is that just a natural TI occurance?
  15. Hi opry99er ... I just tried & failed Games 2 downloaded from message #28, i just tried it now in Classic99 386 and 387, won't load for me ... cart name doesn't show , just says TI Basic. :-/
  16. I will certainly check later on for you. Right now as I write, im on an Acer Chromebook and I've checked out the St Nick game using Rasmus's JS99er ... I did not notice the freeze , the only time santa DID freeze, this annoying little green thing kept appearing and taking an age to do whatever the heck it is it does. I'll check on Classic99 on my windows box later on for ya . Edit: Can anyone put up a cart image on here of the same image opry99er was using ?
  17. If it helps, sometimes when I am running Classic99 on Windows 10, the win auto updates kicking in can cause a very brief lapse in the timing .... but you probably counted that out already maybes? Is it just that game?
  18. It needs the title updating on the site to 387 , Tursi , it's been left at 386
  19. cheers guys. I looked at the amount of notes a real Simon game uses on hard level, it's 31 notes, i think mine only uses 16 on hard. and i can't do that level myself lol
  20. FOLLOWME.zip "Follow Me" is a game derived from the "Simon" type game. At first I didn't have a clue how to store the information the game needs for the notes, and have the player enter the notes accordingly. Then I remembered the CALL GCHAR command. It cleverly prints out a string at the bottom of the screen in black characters (black screen), it's length depends on the game level you select. Then the GCHAR command comes into it and scans the row it's printed. A variable increments in value from 1 to 8 , or 1 to 15, and each time it goes back to 1, but climbs to the newly incremented variable. Try it, it's quite fun. Speech synthesis is included for those who like it. JS99er does quite well in this department.
  21. Schmitzi, that site always asks for a password to download any books but then lets you download game roms without password. it must be a bandwidth thing, i didn't imagine the site being that busy really InfernalKeith, that might be the Vince Apps book? I'm sure there's a link to it on the development thread somewhere.
  22. it's like an episode of Jim Bowen's Bullseye. It's crap but it's good!
