I just started Mass Effect 3, if that introduction doesn't get you into it, nothing will. Downloaded the "extended cut" before I even put the disc in, heard the ending sucks.

Well the whole 7 dollars or whatever a month to play online isn't a big deal in my opinion. Just when they go "OH NEW DLC" and "ONLINE PASSES" and "NEED ANOTHER ACCOUNT," it just starts getting to me. The small lan party things is what I'm basically talking about with system linking and local 4player. and yes I can play call of duty or halo: reach on the same console. But that's pretty much it, and they're only FPS. I do enjoy RPGs and other types of games that don't seem to be local anymore.

I love xbox, really do, but I'm really tired of this "Pay to play" stuff being EVERYWHERE. I went out to my lovely neighborhood gamestop and bought a second copy of Dead Rising 2 so I could system link with my sister! Come home to find out you can't system link. I guess I should of read the back of the box, but I just thought that games were either online or system link now, since Split Screen and Local is pretty much dead. I guess what I'm trying to get out is why do I have to pay for everything?! I have 2 xboxes ALREADY and a live account! I purchased the game, now I need a second live account?? Guess so. And while paying for my live account, I need to pay for an online pass to play certain games too?! I can't just play Co-op on my two tvs and two xboxes anymore?! Why should I even own four controllers?? Or two?? Guess I'm just tired of paying for everything, thank god the Mass effect extended ending is free. Edit: And I need a bioware account to access online features?! pain pain pain.

I understand the whole void warranty thing with it being worthless. And I understand the price check as well, I was just curious to see what everyone says. Here's an example: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271073767037 broken core xbox with NO controllers, NO cords, NOT even working going for about $50. my current WORKING xbox 360 with cords and such = $20-50? this is why I asked for a price check, cause all of you are telling me it's basically worthless. That's why I ask for price checks, to get the full understanding :] thank you friends. also, the backpack, I'm not sure about how much I want to part it for, I'm probably going to list it on ebay w/ a copy of dead rising 2 and that sims game very soon, I'll post/update when I do, I just need to find out the price of shipping.

I'm going to sell the backpack on ebay, and keep the 360 then since it's a game playing brick! thats all :]

I'm not sure how to quote you nopaybob, but I honestly have no idea about the store credit, I don't like to go to gamestop, always feel like I'm getting ripped off.

I actually bought myself a second copy of dead rising 2 to system link and play with my buddy when he comes over tonight! haha might as well use it while I have it.

yeesh getting hammered over a price check. bennybingo - 1. reason i'm asking is because there is the value that the thing would sell for RARELY and maybe there is some other sort of value to the item i don't know about, and also because if my friends on atariage would like it for certain prices i would sell it to them over a stranger on ebay. Atariordie - Whether an xbox was opened or not doesn't change it's life span, IT COULD and yes i think the value should go down if the warranty is void or not, but that doesn't mean it's going to DIE. when you buy a 360 for 20 bucks, you lemme know and i'll gladly give you 10 bucks more for it and take it off your hands. nopaybob - boom! thank you for the comments

i've seen the backpack itself go for 40 on ebay. I mean that's just my professional opinion.

I know about how much an average 360 goes for, but what about a lot like this? It's for the 360, cords and hookups, sims game (eh), and the backpack. no controllers. and I might sell it to you if I personally like the price you're offering. :]

I've owned the same 360 since it was released and never had a problem, and I've had another for a few months and no issues either. I was just debating on doing a live steam. I'd do n64 or ps2 (don't own a ps3). I haven't found many consoles to be hassles besides the ones with HUGE ac adapters.

Debating on hooking up and starting a live stream tonight after my shift is over (around 10-11). Mostly Xbox-360, I'll play classics too. I'm a pretty outgoing person too, but I have the mouth of a sailor sometimes. Feel free to leave input :].

I found this at an Antique Store the other day for $2 I thought it was pretty neat, not sure why it was in an Antique store though.
