  1. Ah... the games list in the menu NOTES that the ST games are actually the Jaguar conversions. That answers that...
  2. Something interesting is going on... I purchased the game, and I was going to use the various tools out there to see if I could easily extract the rom images from the game. While the game menu only lists ONE Jaguar title (Tempest 2000), there appear to be roms for Jaguar versions of Gridrunner, Llamatron2112, and Revenge of the Mutant Camels inside... two versions of the Llamatron2112 rom, actually. Now I'm wondering if these are supposed to be unlockables or if I just missed something somewhere...
  3. I will -- I kind of got distracted with real life stuff, but I have a small backlog of "weird gaming stuff" I will process over the next few months.
  4. I was using them in wireless mode -- I'll try it later using wired and checking the sensitivity.
  5. ... is it just me, or are the dial/paddle controls sort of horrible? I was trying out Warlords and Super Breakout, and instead of smoothly moving across the screen, my bat/paddle/shield seems to JUMP from position to position. Is this a hardware problem, inherent to this controller, or a software issue?
  6. Ordered one of these from Costco for $49.99 -- and, as weird as it sounds, it's partially to get a legal license to some of the non 2600 titles. I remember reading the game list and finding a DECENT number of things I didn't have. I'll have to double check it later... I recently installed Retroarch on a Walmart ONN Google TV Android box, and I'm curious about performance on this thing versus that.
  7. So, this is interesting... The game's menu has a RESTART option -- choosing it essentially sends an OPTION 1 keypress to the emulator. (If you hold down PAUSE and choose the option, the game returns to the title screen.) Option 2 isn't emulated at all, as far as I can tell, which means you can't toggle the music... nor can you flip the screen.
  8. While I sort of understand the logic of the buttons (no full button access, just "gameplay" ones), it appears that there is no "quick restart" button as they didn't map that...
  9. It looks like a fairly bare bones Lynx emulator, running the game. It does offer save states and is only $3... The description mentions "left and right handed controls", but I'm not sure if it supports "flipping" the screen. The emulator only appears to support a few Lynx buttons...
  10. Ah -- the only thing on that list that I own is Aztec Challenge, so it might have been that disk.
  11. Is there a list of titles that were released as "flippy" disks? Atari on one side, and C64 (or something else) on the other? I thought I had a few of them, but I can't find my original disks for One on One nor Racing Construction Set, and it feels like ONE of those was a flippy. I checked Atarimania, but neither game page seemed to NOTE being a flippy. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms, but I can't seem to find a list of dual-system disk releases...
  12. Oh, I won't do that. I should have some Atari power supplies SOMEWHERE... not sure where, though. I remember getting the C64, and it didn't have a power supply, so that helps!
  13. PROBABLY... I'm digging through boxes and finding stuff I forgot I had. I'll check on all of these and update folks soon.
  14. I don't know that I have extra power supplies hanging around -- I'm fairly sure these are systems I picked up from thrift stores since high school, and I didn't realize I had multiple. I always used my XEGS... I may not get to the photo part until after Christmas, but I'll check back with everyone. I'm trying to clear out a large quantity of collected-type items, so I may come across weird things as I go.
  15. These have been stored in a back room for... several years. I'm not entirely sure how I ended up with three, and the conditions are quite variable. So this isn't really a treasure trove, but if there was a decent way to sell them I'd be open to it. I'll see if I can snap some pictures in the near future.
  16. Weird question time... So, aside from my two Atari XEGS, I appear to have three Atari 800 units (and one 800 XL). One of the 800s is missing some keys. I don't need these... is there any reason for me to try to sell these versus giving them away? I mean, I could use extra cash for Christmas gifts, but I don't know what "range" of value an old 800 has at this point. Any thoughts from anyone? If the "fair" value for these is fairly low, it doesn't matter -- I can't imagine an 800 going for $100+, but if it -did-, I suppose I'd have to consider trying to actually sell the things. I know the problem with eBay, but I just wanted to know if there was actually a demand for old 800s for any reason. (I also found a C64 and some form of Amiga...)
  17. As an extreme aside, searching for Robert Zdybel pulls up this interesting little page: https://everything2.com/title/Rob+Zdybel
  18. I asked a similar question a few years ago, when I couldn't find any Atari Corp published games on the ST... I got a few interesting responses. Was the ST Star Raiders done by Atari? Atari Mania lists Missile Command and Star Raiders as being programmed by "Zdybel, Robert"... no company notes in the database that I see.
  19. I'm not trying to be antagonistic here, but perhaps I should clarify: I found it unlikely they'd add Berzerk, as the 2600 game was no more an Atari title than any of their other licensed ports. I'd expect a small update of 12 games to contain many things that are more directly Atari. While I'd love to get the arcade Berzerk, or a good many other things, I don't really consider a licensed port to represent "50 years of Atari" as it wasn't really an Atari title. The current Atari company has purchased a good many things, and I don't mind that, but it's still got very little to do with Atari history. I suppose you could make almost the same case against Miner 2049er, but that started off as an Atari computer title. Not Atari, but Atari was its home. I'll gladly take all of the stuff they got their hands on recently, I'm just doubtful that all of it fits the scope/theme of the Atari 50 collection.
  20. I remember these being there, at least in some format. There are some 2600 titles that were "locked" behind hidden objectives in the reimagined titles, I think....
  21. See, I'd LIKE Berzerk, but it's not an Atari title any more than Space Invaders was. Although someone mentioning Gauntlet (not Atari any more) made me wonder... any chance of anything like Dandy or other APX stuff?
  22. For the folks saying Berzerk -- as much as I'd find that fun, there's no notable historic connection to Atari. Bounty Bob started as an Atari computer title, at least... Assuming this retains the concept of being tied to just Atari stuff, the question is what the current Atari still holds the rights to. I'd like more 800/XL/XE stuff...
  23. I'm pretty sure it's a weird "public domain" disk. I have no clue where it came from. I did get a small batch of stuff mailed to me from someone in Germany years ago, when I was looking for the 8-bit MOD player, and I assume it was part of those disks... I'll try to get to it this coming weekend!
  24. I just found my bags of Atari disks... I don't think I've touched them since college. Oof. I'm sure I don't have anything odd/rare, but I thought I'd let folks know. 25. I may scour my old eBay emails later to see where and/or who I ordered my bundle from. I think I purchased both a used unit -and- a lot of "sealed" new in package games, but I really am not sure. I do promise to get back to folks when I have some free time in the next month or so. I suppose it's possible someone was sent a "review unit" -- if Watara/whatever was feeling VERY hopeful.
