  1. Atari Jaguar (Used, but still works very good) $35

Jag CD add-on (With Memory Track Cartridge) $140

1 working controller (not sure if other one works) $4

Original Print Game Manuals for some games.

    Games:

    Missile Command 3D $15

    Doom $8

    Wolfenstein 3D $8

    Tempest 2000 $12

    Alien Vs Predator $20

    Super Burnout $10

    Atari Karts $30

    Cybermorth $2

    Checkered Flag $2

    Club Drive $8

    Kasumi Ninja $6

    $300

I think it would be around the $240 range. You always lose when you sell in bulk because not as many people have enough money to bid up to 300 bucks. You would get the more money I think by selling Atari Karts and Alien Vs. Predator seperate from the rest.

  2. I've heard Telegames is only a publisher and contracts out development work. Maybe Time-Warner didn't want to make a TinyToons game for the Jag, so a license to develop one using TinyToons characters was bought from TG. Not sure really.

I would like to read those project managment notes on TT also :), where may I find them? Are they on JS2 or here or elsewhere?

I sent you a PM about it.

  3. Time Warner did Primal Rage and Power Drive Rally. They also did the co-jag thing with Area 51 and the other games. My question is why in the world would Telegames be doing stuff for Tiny Toons and not Time Warner which owned the license anyway? Tiny Toons was an early release planned game and after some reading on some Tiny Toons project management notes the game was killed basically because Warner would not approve the art. The only reason I bring this up is because Warner did games for the Jag (both CD and cart), plus they helped out with licenses on Vid Grid and the Jag CD promo rollout.

I would like to hear something, somewhere about how the relationship with Atari and Warner was back in the day. This Tiny Toons thing is killing me.

  4. I tried to post these Overlay Scans here but it just froze up on me. I promised someone a long time ago that I would post these Overlays up and I just got a scanner that was convenient so better late than never. Sorry for the link to another forum, I would have posted them here but I guess I am not hip with the attachment space.

    Back in the day.

  5. atairJaguarasadentalcamera.jpg

    Per wiki!

Some time later, Imagin Systems, a manufacturer of dental imaging equipment, purchased the molding plates for several of the Jaguar's casings as, with minor modification, they were the right size for housing their HotRod camera.[5] Even the game cartridge molds were reused to create an optional memory expansion card. Later product casings also bear a significant resemblance to the Jaguar.

Wow! I guess the Jaguar has lived on!

That design is perfect for that application.

  6. I could go on Wikipedia and edit that page to whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. It has recently been edited to remove the reference to the 64 bit object processor and blitter. Someone has raped the Wikipedia Jaguar entry once again and you are using it as evidence for your claims. The article will soon go under contention and revert back to the old way soon.

DRAM controller, 64-bit memory management (not a processor) look it up! I will trust the wilkepidia before I trust some Jagfan buster A$$! Like I said, I have seen 3 different specs that are not even the same! Do you guys just make stuff up? That info was obtained from the Jaguar Software Reference manual. Now I normally dont zero in on somebody and call them names. But you have crossed that first! I am simply debating the fact that the Jag is not more powerful then the PSX, the Jag is not better in 2D then the Sega Saturn, and the Jag does not use a 64 bit processor, but rather uses it for memory management. Now put your money where your mouth is son! Otherwise shut up!

Please explain in great detail how the Jaguar is not Phonedork. Please refrain from rhetoric meant to mask your technological schematic ignorance. Go reread the posts from Gorf concerning your declaritive statements that you believe to be fact.

Dude... this is not my information. I obtained it from the wilkepedia! Not from a jag site who declares the systems power more than it is. Just go to the wilkepidia site and look it up. This information was never hard to obtain! They also declare that the information was from the Jaguar Software Reference manual! Now what exactly do I need to learn from a Gorf forum? Is this the answer to Jaguar's power? Like I said earlier.... Lets hypothetically say the Jag was the most powerful system ever!!!!! No games = SUCK A$$!

  7. I am sorry but I have never heard of or seen before

    Jungle Jag or Martian Attack

How could someone release 2 new Jag games without any word of it showing up on Atari Age or JSII? I know that those 2 forums do not constitute all the Jaguar fans but damn man, there are a heckuv alot of them there. Did I miss something?

    Jungle Jag

    Martian Attack

OK after some research I have found out about these games but I still cannot fathom how I missed word of them.

  8. you know i want couple of em'
Imagine the sales - they could sell like a whole 50 of them to the Jaguar community and sweetstuff4u would buy the other 999,950 made.

Hmm... I totally forgot BuddyBuddies. I'll have to rework my sales figures as he would undoubtedly sell his house, buy like 30,000 units and build a Jaguar hovel out of them to live in. :D

    LOL!

  9. Welcome to Atariage Cynn!, I haven't heard about these "lost sets" of Jaguar units, and them being liquidated at KB Toys & Toy Liquidators. So, someone found an Atari storage space packed with new in-box Jag consoles...interesting. :) Wouldn't mind knowing a little more about this, will have to search the net or if you have more info. I know that all Jaguar retailers Toys-R-Us, etc., including Walmart sent their Jag stock back to Atari after the product was deemed a total failure. Maybe some of the 70 wherehouses Atari owned before their JTS merger were fogotten about and not included in the deal or sold beforehand.

That would be great to rent out some storage place and find it already packed to the rafters with pallets of Jaguar consoles!!! :P The owner saying; we'll give you a discount if you clean out the previous person's crap. :P :D

New Jags and games were sold at KayBee toys for a while after Atari merged with JTS. But this was a long time ago.

  10. I think it would be awesome to get one of the redesigned "Flashback" consoles based after the Jag.

What do you guys think? Possible or not?

I think, that´s a great idea. However, I don´t think that´s possible at reasonable cost. Compared to "VCS technology" the Jaguar is more complicated to redesign it as a "Flashback" console, not to mention the size of most of the games. Nevertheless, it´s a great idea and I like it very much.

It would be cool if they included Wolfenstein, Doom, Iron Soldier, Alien vs. Predator, Ultra Vortek, NBA Jam, Ruiner Pinball, Attack of the Mutant Penguins, Super Burnout, Rayman, Cybermorph, Missle Command 3D, Tempest 2k, and Defender 2K. I would buy that.

  11. Ah, it's too late anyway. I sold my Iron Soldier 2 CD. That's another thing. IS2 is MUCH more pricey than IS1, as you know. :) Also another thing for me is, the original Iron Soldier has a lot of sentimental and nostalgic value, whereas IS2 has none, for me anyways... Oh well.

I've had Iron Soldier 3 for the Playstation for quite awhile too, and could never really get interested in that one either. Infact I'm selling it right now. :D

Yeah, I owned IS3 on the PSX, and it just isn't the same for me as playing 1&2 on the Jaguar, I agree, though I did still play it and think it's one of the better PSX games, at least for the genre, but I've never been a big fan of the PSX in the first place and only bought one mainly for IS3 since I can't get the superior and most likely more sentimental (for me) version on my NUON. I have a feeling I'd like it more on the NUON as I do other NUON releases. The Nuon is just so much closer to feeling at "home" like playing the prequels on the Jaguar (Merlin Racing/Atari Karts, T3K/T2K). Even so, I still prefer to play T2K over T3K, just becuase it's on the Jaguar. By the way, I did try IS3 on a PS2 with the smoothed texture mapping, which is cool, but still not as cool as playing on the NUON would be, or playing IS1&2 on the Jaguar...but I recommend giving it a try that way.

I sold my PSX/PS2 and IS3 a while ago when I needed cash though, and have recently bought back a PSX, but don't have IS3 for it again yet, how much do you want for your copy of IS3?

Well actually it's already sold, it's just pending payment. But it's a guy I know well, so I'm holding it for him for a few days. Sorry, I would sell it to you though of course, it's just taken already. I think I was asking $7 for it. It's like new too. But you can find PS IS3 on eBay fairly easily for reasonable prices. I just sold/shipped my NUON with T3K and Merlin Racing today as a matter of fact. :P I loved T3K's soundtrack, but I felt the games graphics and play just weren't as good as Tempest 2000 on the Jag. There were some neat graphical effects, but I just think T2K is better. I'd rate T2K on the Jag 95% and T3K on the NUON 85% :)

Oh, I see you were interested in IS3 too eh Hyper_Eye? :) Ya, about $5 on eBay sounds right. Except I charge like $2-3 to ship it whereas most on eBay would probably charge $5. And no, The Helper is not me. ;)

I was just looking on eBay for PSX IS3, and there are a few for sale, prices ranging from $.01-6.95 and shipping from $3-7. I caught an auction with just a couple hours left, and though shipping is $6.95, the bidding started at one cent and I was the only bidder, so with shipping, I just got a copy for $6.96. Not to shabby...made it reasonable all in all, I'll just consider it a $5 game and $1.96 for shipping.

I'd still prefer the NUON version, but not for hundreds of dollars, especially when Nuon-Dome and Eclipse gave away recalled copies for FREE, I'm not going to buy one for hundreds that the seller got for free! So I'll settle for IS3 for the PSX. Maybe I'll get lucky one day and come across one for a reasonable price...

For you Gunstar I would be willing to loan you the copy so you could play it as long as you promised to give it back.

    Provided you had a NUON.

I've got a Samsung N501 sitting right next to me. :D

My word is my bond. Just loan it to me for a couple of weeks, I'll easily finish it by then...but we'll set it up for after the holidays, as I'm travelling to the relatives for a few weeks. besides, my nuon controller broke and I'm hoping to get a replacement over the holidays...You're too cool!

By the way, are you still living in Texas? If so, where is it again? As you can see from under my Avatar, I'm in Canyon Lake now, just north of San Antonio, been here for a few years now. The last time we exchanged/traded/bought/sold (whatever it was) I was up in Wisconsin. I meant to find out where you were when I moved down here to see about hanging out and talking Atari, but I never got around to it.

I am still in Houston. Just shoot me a PM when you get back from Holiday with your address and I will send it over. Its all good.

  13. One Jillion Dollars :P

Seriously though, PM me an offer - if its reasonable it is possible I might sell my copy.

    Are you kevincal? I'm confused.

I was replying to Kevincal about his IS3 for PS1. It goes on ebay for around $5.00 heh.

Sorry about that. I did not realize you were talking about the PS1 version. If anyone else reads this do not bother making any offers. My copy of the NUON IS3 is not for sale. Good luck finding your game for $5.

  14. Congratulations on the Jaguar portable game system win, BB! :) , that thing is coool! and better looking than the other grayish Jaguar portable by Ben Heck. I like how the cartridges fit in at the top. When people are playing their DS & PSP you'll have Atari Jaguar to play on the go. Get a bunch rechargeable high capacity AA batteries (lithium?) to have a couple of extra sets where there is no AC outlet. Very Nice Score man, and a great Christmas gift for one's self! Wow! :P

I also like this one better than the other one - much cleaner and more professional looking. Congrats on the win and don't forget to give us the full report (maybe even a YouTube Video) once you get it.
