Would be neat to run across a Speedster game at some random place and actually be able to identify it as such. One in the wild I guess you would say. I guess the only way to find out more info would be to try to find out what happened to the company and/or email someone who used to work there if you could ever find out who that might be.

So, are these in cartridge form? Weren't these kiddie amusement rides?
I remember reading some information on it when one guy posted at JII when he put it up for auction. It was included in kiddy rides that were made. It never had a commercial release. I can find no more information about these titles but there used to be more but it might have got lost in some forum crash or was purged. Shame.

The Red Screen of death is usually fixed by blowing out the cartridge contacts and doing the same in the jaguar cartridge slot. You can put a cartridge through the Jag CD but mine never got the best connection that way so I usually just took it off.

The best way imho to get your collection going is to trek on over to Ebay and look for a bundle of games being sold together to get the common games. You can usually find a Jaguar and 10 or 20 common games for a cheap price and you can get your base.
It starts getting pricey when you go after the new titles and once again the cheapest way to get those is in a bigger collection from eBay otherwise you are going to be paying 50 - 70 a game - and if you are a completest there is really no way around that.
Look for these carts in collections AVP, Attack of the Mutant Penguins, Doom, Defender 2000, and Atari Karts in collections as well because those games get kind of pricey when you buy them alone.
Good luck with your collecting!

Wow - up to a thousand bucks. Looks like you just might have made the right choice to not break it up.
-
Nice collection. You could have made some serious cash by selling that all seperate. That is a major job though. I still have a little of my collection left as well as some rare stuff but I miss my Battlesphere Gold. Damn that eBay.

Looks too big to me. Not small enough to rate as a portable more like a tablet imho. Love the screen. Looks like the resolution is awesome. Does not look like it would be easy to play though and I agree a Pro Controller should have been the way to go here. Nice job though but I would not have wasted my time unless I could have got it alot smaller.

Kevin,
You need to go to your registrar (netsol, godaddy or whatever) and change your DNS information to
Primary..................: ns1.ev1servers.net
Secondary.............: ns2.ev1servers.net
Once you do that I can enable your account on the new server. I will send you your cpanel login information shortly. The forums are still down - a true mess there but they should be back up soon. I apologize for the inconvenience but I am working to straighten it out. Please note my new contact email
Email me when you make the change and yes, as soon as you make the change and get your info alls you will have to do is reupload your site and you will be back on.
Thanks,
Chris
Albert - The PM of this forum is not working when I try to reply to Kevs PM to me it says it will fail and does not work.
Chris,Thanks for the heads-up. I tried emailing you at your thehelper.net address and it's bouncing back.
I've got everything locally, so it's just a matter of re-uploading everything. Which may take a while but it could be worse I suppose. Hope things go smoothly for you and email me at my rochester.rr.com account when your email is back up and running.
Thanks!

I am sorry to post this public but the IM of this forum is not working
Kev,
Yes, worst case scenario, the host we had lost the whole computer we were on and I have to scramble to get us on our new server. Good news is alls you have to do to get ND back up is change your DNS but the bad news is I have to get the forums back up and in the minimum I have lost a month worth of information.
I will email you in a few hours with the new information but I hope you have a backup of ND because the host computer is gone, no backups, but if you have a backup you can restore and you can be back up at least your main site in the time it takes DNS to propogate.
I will let you know more later, this is major stuff and I have to deal with it today.
Chris

You are not going to lose any money buying Battlesphere. If you want to play the greatest game for the Jaguar buy it, play the hell out of it and then resell it. You will make your money back or make some. Dont pay more than 400 though as prices do fluctuate on eBay due to demand. The moral of this story is boys and girls if you want to experience the greatest Jag game pony up 500 bucks and buy it, play it then resell it you wont lose any money.

There is also a PC Version of Tempest 2000 - as well as a PC Demo I believe. Happened right before Atari died and they ported some stuff to PC - the Atari Interactive division I think.
-
I have a bunch of overlays for games that never had them that a guy used to make a few years back. They are pretty rare. Worms, Syndicate, Battlesphere, etc - I will have to break them out and put them to the scanner....
-
I used to buy collections like that and turn around and resell them all seperately to make my money back. Then I would keep whatever I did not have for free. Those were sweet days.
-
He will never get what it is truly worth selling it as a package. It would be a considerable amount of work selling all the stuff seperately but he would almost certainly nearly double what he is going to get selling it as a package.
-
Ooops, my bad - admins feel free to delete this post.
-
Too bad he can't post about it here.....

I wish they would have done it for the Jaguar

Just a heads up on that FAQ. It refers to some instructions at the goatstore.com which no longer exist. At least are not able to be found by following the instructions in the FAQ. In other words, the FAQ says there is no need to repeat those instructions as they are pretty detailed except for one thing, those detailed instructions are not there at the Goat Store - possibly due to there site redesign.
Just wanted to let you know. -
Breakout 2K is gone.
Pony, I still have that S-Video Cable - PM me an offer.
I am surprised I have not had anyone gobble up Worms for $50. That is a pretty good price for that game... I guess it is the I can only accept money orders thing. God I hate not not having a bank account.
People - the only advice I can give you is don't get married.
-
OK - this is what I have left. I am trying to get this all done on the Atari Age board so I don't have to eBay. I can only take Money Orders or Cashier Checks in US Dollars (also Western Union and those type). My PayPal is not working
Worms good condition - complete - 50$
Doom complete - good condition (includes overlay) - 15$
A telegames gem - Breakout 2000 - complete - good condition 30$
Rayman - complete - good condition - 15$
Memory Track (cartridge only) 10$
Towers II - Telegames (cartridge only) 30$
Shipping is actual cost. I have eBay feedback

I am sorry but there appears to be no links that can be found on internet search for the Jaguar version of this game. If you search on the game name on Google you can see what game we are talking about. That is it at this time. If anyone finds links to this game, even good links for the regular version post them here and I will add them to dmoz.org. If I can get series specific links I will categorize the whole series if I can get enough sites.

I have played it. The tiles flip up and if I remember correctly you have to place them. I think it is click on the tile then click on the square to land it.
-
Yes - the cartridges work for both versions of the Jag. I think that one of the CD games does not work in European - Maybe Space Ace.

You can buy Jaguar core systems on eBay buy it now price cheap. Or at least you used to be able to but you should be able to get a plain jag replacement box for like 20 bucks or something.
