  1. I must be using the wrong terminology. The part that is not working, on my ultra pong doubles, is the part that plugs into the hole. All other paddle controllers work fine in any of the holes. How can I fix the part that plugs into the hole?

    Thanks for your patience,

    Will

  2. It has to be the jack itself. It feels different when you plug in that specific controller (in any of the 4 sockets) although the jack looks the same from a quick glance. How hard is it to buy a 2.5mm jack from radio shack and replace it on that paddle?

    Thanks,

    Will

  3. Ok, I know this post was from 6 years ago, but since the ultra pong terminal in question is from 40 years ago, I don't think that is that much time.

I am having the same problem exactly, and I am wondering if anyone was able to solve this problem...

    Thanks,

    Will

  4. Thanks for everyone's help,

I messaged Akator, and he told me what fixed the problem was changing the TV to an older 90s tube model. Unfortunately, I bought a "new" 90s tube TV and it still shows static until you move around the RF cables into EXACTLY the right spot -- it does work less badly than when I was connecting to my LG LCD 46 Inch though.

I messaged Retro Rogue, and he suggested using a RF to RCA converter. He said that this intermediary device may remove this problem.

I am using a RF to F-Type Transformer (commonly known as: RF to coaxial input) from an Atari Ultra Pong Doubles console.

Any thoughts on how to fix the problem anyone?

    Thanks,

    Will
